No, I think Messi can still return to Barcelona to play for his childhood club before retiring there as the club legend.
Players returning to their so called childhood clubs is a bad idea because all those beautiful memories he left could be erased and we saw what happened with Cristiano. Maybe that Saudi Arabia deal is in the pipeline after all because his playing days are almost over and what better way of ending it by getting a fat pay check.

Well as far as i know, Messi did not really had to leave Barcelona at all. It was just the case, that Barcelona could not afford to pay Messi his extremely high salary.
Come on, Are you saying that Messi is still a Barcelona player...  Tongue

There are speculations suggesting Kylian Mbappe may be moving to Manchester City but I don’t believe that will be realistic in this transfer window. There’s been no statement from the coach or club regarding this so until an official statement is made by either parties, I will not get excited. I feel these are all rumours going round the media to pull attention. Imagine having Mbappe and Haaland in the same thing just like having Ronaldo and Messi on the same team lol I won't like to see that happening for the sake of competition.

Well as far as i know, Messi did not really had to leave Barcelona at all. It was just the case, that Barcelona could not afford to pay Messi his extremely high salary. They have paid him around 550 M€ for a 5 year contract, that are 110 M€ per year, which is probably 5 times more than other world class players are earning. That was the reason why Barcelona has such extremely high debts now and is still in danger of going bankrupt.
Messi could have stayed back then but of course for a salary that would have only been a fraction of the old one. So it was not like he was forced to leave or something. He just wanted to continue to earn ridiculously high amounts of money and he could do that PSG.

I have already said it, the major concern of players is to continue to earn highly ridiculous amount of money. I first asked this question that if Messi loved Barcelona that much, why not take some pay cut.
The same thing happened to Ronaldo. When the bid from Saudi came, I told people that Ronaldo will go for the money but they said that Ronaldo will like to play only in Europe and possibly in the Champions league. But today we have seen where Ronaldo is.

Joao Cancelo is on the radar of some teams apparently and one of these teams is said to be Milan now.

However I'm not seeing any reason for Cancelo to leave Manchester City now. He is enjoying his game and he is one of the mainstays in their defense line. Manchester City are in a much better condition than Milan also therefore I don't think this news is real. Cancelo's current contract ends in 2027 and I think he will stay at least until that date as long as Manchester City don't want to replace him with another player. Cancelo is a very special back by the way as he is making a huge contribution in the attacking line also. There is no reason for Manchester City to give up on him as a result.

I know some people here are afraid of how much Chelsea is spending on new players, however I bring good news, at least from one player.
We have already commented here about Andrey Santos who was signed for 18 million pounds, and even I thought the price was high.
But check out how he is playing with the under-20 team of Brazil.
For now, Chelsea is in the stage of repairing the club, including the composition of the players. With this season's extravagant purchases at least the results are in. Maybe for some games it still doesn't look efficient, Chelsea needs fresh air and the solution is to speed up the change of coaches so that this can feel more promising. Everyone now doubts the quality of Graham Potter and since he was at Chelsea how many games has he won?

That is Chelsea biggest problem, if only buying players is focused but the coach is still unable to make changes, it means that the fault lies with the manager himself.

With Mo Elneny out injured, it does look like Arsenal are looking to strengthen in the midfield. They have done with fixing the defense and the attack but the midfield is the concern now considering the position they’re in.  Arteta and Edu both have a big plan in the summer and they don’t want to complicate things. Imo they want to bring Declan Rice in the summer but they can’t risk not signing anyone this January because they’re short in the midfield. So they’re contemplating on getting someone on loan for now or signing someone outrightly. It’s a risky decision to make but I trust them to be wise.

Conor Gallagher has considering to leave Chelsea this winter because Potter didn't trust him to played regularly although he was transfered from Crystal Palace this summer but he hasn't feel comfortable stayed at Chelsea but it doesn't take long time for him to gets new clubs because reported Newcastle and his former club Crystal Palace also interested want to bought him even possibly Newcastle will win the race because this club is very serious want to gets him and this winter Chelsea was very active to buy players i think if Gallagher stayed at Chelsea he cannot gets more minutes to play and moved to other clubs could be wise decision for him

Conor Gallagher has always been a Chelsea player, he wasn't bought or transferred from crystal palace to Chelsea instead he returned from a loan which he was on. Conor Gallagher is an excellent player and I prefer him to mason mount since he has been over feeling himself lately, Gallagher on the other hand wants to work each time he's on the field. He going in for tackle and can take one for the team quite easily unlike Mount that now plays like he's some kind of superstar and from what I'm hearing, he's refusing to sign a contract extension at the club.

Instead of Chelsea letting go of Conor Gallagher then Mason Mount should be sold and Gallagher takes his roles fully, Mason mount can fetch us some good money as he's an overhype English player. Conor Gallagher has so much potential in him that if he gets half of the playing time that Mason Mount gets, he'll be phenomenal at the midfield also he has to be given full control of the attacking midfield role just as he was given at Crystal palace then he'll be outstanding in every game that he is features in.

Chelsea has win the race with Manchester United to gets Lyon player Malo Gusto and it say Gusto had personal agreement with Chelsea and in the near future his agent will went to London to talking about the further steps for his transfer and Gusto position on Lyon is right back and after Reece James got injured and have to rested for more than two months Chelsea indeed required more players on this position and with the arrival of Gusto he probably can covered James position and with his current age 20 years old Gusto already playing regularly with Lyon and Manchester United and Chelsea seeing his potention but this time he is more likely to choose Chelsea as his next club
Gusto has been confirming his choice to pick chelsea over manchester united but the problem is chelsea and lyon have not yet agreed on an agreement in the transfer. Chelsea wants gusto to come to the stamford bridge as soon as possible after gusto was already bought by Chelsea but lyon wants to take him until the end of the season as a loan from Chelsea. Chelsea didn't agree with such agreement, that's why his transfer may take more time caused by Chelsea and lyon have not yet gotten agreement about his transfer.

Even if Leo wants to leave Psg, it shouldn't relate to Mbappe given too much powers of will or decisions. I don't think that those are the problems of Leo. If it were to be Neymar, I'll agree with you that he is wrestling power with Mbappe, but Leo does not seem to be interested.
At the age of Leo what is good for him is a league like the French league where there won't be too much pressure on him in the midfield. He needs not to be stressed again in matches.
Messi became in the public spotlight after news broke out that he did not want to extend his contract at PSG, a number of possibilities began to be linked as a reason for not wanting to extend the contract. According to the news I read on the Marca website written by Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, one of the reasons Messi was reluctant to extend his contract with PSG was because the club treated Mbappe very special.
Galtier decision to place Mbappe as vice captain of the team sparked Messi disappointment as the club did not take into account his existence and the contribution he had made to the club. Moreover, he is the captain of the Argentina national team, which has just won the World Cup trophy.

I don't doubt that journalists will write that. I know what journalists can do. Even if I don't know, with the recent event of Ronaldo and Manchester United, I have known what the journalists can do and undo.
They are ready to keep Messi on the top spot of the media till this year ends. They will know how to link him to a new club even if he just signed for another ub yesterday.
I don't want to believe that Messi is interested in wrestling power and position with small Mbappe

I agree maybe Leeds isn't such a bad team, but they are not as good as one could hope for. It will be a big challenge for him to play in this team, because Leeds themselves are in a difficult condition, so his arrival may be expected to have a big impact on improvement for them. But for Mckennie it will not be that easy to do his best here, because the style of play and that of his team-mates will definitely be very different.

It will be difficult to adjust a bit at first but its just a bit of time and I think McKennie wouldn't face much difficulty once he settles in. He has experience and the quality so it shouldn't be an issue according to me. Leeds however need some good defensive players to face their opponent attacks. They have conceded a lot of goals so far this season and that is what I think is the major issue of Leeds right now.

3 games, 3 goals in U20 South American Championships

I think Chelsea fans are happy to see the potential of this player, he can be a starter in a few weeks / months

No, I think Messi can still return to Barcelona to play for his childhood club before retiring there as the club legend. The last time I read that he is yet to renew his contract with PSG and considering the his form and performance lately and looking at all he has see in the team due to the power given to Mbappe, I think he may return to continue playing soon to Barcelona to help them better their performance. PSG as his current team can't keep him if he does not want to play for them again so it is still the decision of the star player to make if he wanna play again for Barcelona or extend his contract with PSG.
Leo Messi have accomplished everything he solely desire in football during his prime time so renewing his contract with the Parisians wouldn't be a difficult task, he's not tenderly competitive for any trophy but his ultimate target is the champions league which himself and his entire teammates are working together to lift this season. The GOAT going back to barça to do what actually, considering his age and hooking up with the high competition in laliga wouldn't be a good start for the Argentine international. PSG will talk about renewal of contract in the coming days and Leo Messi agent is responding positive to the talks and sooner, contract will enter key stages. He's probably one of the key players in the team and Christophe Galtier would be very happy if Messi stays.

whatever the conditions at PSG, if Messi doesn't want to extend his contract with PSG, I think of course there is strong consideration from him.
problems with teammates or if indeed he wants to return to Barca, of course, that must be considered properly. especially with Barca's finances, of course, there would be better talks to reach a deal.

I wonder, can Lionel Messi refuse a contract extension from PSG with the option that Paris Saint-Germain have, I mean PSG are quite famous for spending money, they don't hesitate to spend money with fantastic value just to make the player play for Paris Saint-Germain?

What is a player like Lionel Messi looking for at his age, apart from money?

Chelsea has win the race with Manchester United to gets Lyon player Malo Gusto and it say Gusto had personal agreement
Looks like this move has not yet happened based on my Google search.. It's all about these tabloids getting more traffic using fake news!
By the way, I don't think united was ever in this race looking at the position that Gusto plays has several other players fighting for this position, but had it been a striker maybe United would have been interested.

Chelsea affected heavily with series cases of injuries blasting their keyplayers, therefore making them to use the bench which they don't even have quality players with good replacement. Todd boehly don't want such mistakes to happen again as he's aiming at bringing hungered players who are eager to play games in Stamford bridge. Only in this transfer window, they have signed players who are tender and some would joined the club in the nearest future while some will join in June. Graham Potter should make out good plans for the team and includes his squad with better replacement for each keyplayer. Blues very active in the transfer window with signing youngsters who have bright future ahead of them. Chelsea have high probability of bringing Malo Gusto to the team.

They've reached verbal agreements with the player already, just as you've said agent will be in London to clarify everything immediately to get the entire desk running.
Ever since the injured Recce James the right wing hasn't been functional as it used to be. Azpilicueta has come of age and it high time.he leaves the club for younger bloods to come in and play.
He has won it all with Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, Sarri and lastly Thomas Tuchel he'll be given one of the best send off as a Chelsea legend.

With Aaron Wan Bissaka present, Manchester United have lessen talks of bringing in a fresh right full back, all they want to complete is contract extension for Diego Dalot.

Chelsea have made quite a number of additions which will cause surplus in some positions like in the midfield position and expects to do an overhaul to cut short the numbers. If Conor Gallagher is listed as surplus. Crystal Palace has an edge over Newcastle in this race because he has been part of Patrick Viera's project and ideas and is already acquainted with the club so it will be easier to fill in quickly than starting over at Newcastle.
I haven't seen a new Dm joining the squad, not even a good Cm that matches to pair, Even with the number that has joined Chelsea, I haven't seen a significant change that is convincing enough to even start thinking of selling out the old ones, yet we are making fans are making noise and listing out players to be sold out. Let's give these new players more playing time to see if there is a need to sell out the old ones. Moreover,  we need many players to compete in the different leagues coming next season

Hot rumors are now again involving star players from PSG. Leonel's future with the French League giants, PSG, was a big question, especially since the megastar's contract was about to run out. Messi's contact will end in June 2023, while La Blaugrana is reportedly planning to take him home. there has been much speculation linking Messi with big clubs, even Premier League clubs.

Meanwhile, journalist Gerard Romeno reports a different matter stating that Messi will not stay at Paris-Saint-Germain. if the reports are true, there has been speculation as to whether Barcelona and Lionel Messi will get back together, as many football fans have questioned.
On the other hand, Marca journalist Marc Vila reports that Messi will not return to Camp Nou.
To be honest, I'm not sure about the current rumors around Messi. so, let's just wait and see what Messi will do for his future.

But will Barca really break the wage bill while trying to have it below the FFP rules at the same time.  Is that really what Xavi wants?  I doubt it.  And all these Messi rumors stemmed from his and Neymar having some problems with their other team mates at PSG.

With Xavi still in the process of rebuilding the club, I don't think he'll do it even if all the bones in his body says do it.  He has to be smart about it.

Anyway, what are the biggest and smartest acquisitions in the winter transfer window this time around?
