Ancelotti was only a few steps away before it will able get some trophies (UCL & Copa del rey). The chance in la liga is very small at this moment consider real madrid is not having consistent performance. It was still facing the loses when barcelona got the same result as real madrid.

This is why I believe during summer window they will get one CB and one ST and they will be much better next season.
