Anyone watched Ronaldo welcoming ceremony yesterday? I think it was the most lavish and expensive welcoming event of all time
the fans who came exceeded the capacity of the stadium, I suspect Al Nassr will get back what they spent in signing Ronaldo
imagine if every Al Nassr match had a total of supporters like this and 1/2 of them bought a Ronaldo Jersey  Shocked

These happy moments are special that for sure I know but all of these lavished welcome ceremony and he doesn't get back scoring, I'll be more disturbed and mentally fvxked. All of that doesn't count for me, like man please get back to scoring goals for your new club. Since that's what really make him happy. I'm wishing him nothing but best of luck as he begins he's career with them Saudis.

Seeing the outcome of Arsenal vs Newcastle United game yesterday, with no marquee names to call upon off the bench, I felt Arteta ran out of ideas and had no real firepower amongst his substitutes to change the game. With the way things are going, they could be in danger of slipping up in the coming weeks if the squad isn't strengthen considering the position they’re in.

Like damn! No Gabriel Jesus, Nketiah was just there in the game no impact, Odegaard flopped to an extent some wayward shots fired off target. I still ponder why the delay with gunners and Tielemans of Leicester City, I was thinking hell he'll move to Arsenal already
Arsenal needs depth else when Europa League begins, they'll have themselves to be blamed for not making recruitments on time, I wouldn't appreciate it if City comes back to win the Premier League again. SMH

Ronaldo is a global brand and the world loves him. There is no doubt that he will put his new club to the light and many restrictions shall be over because of Ronaldo's presence.
This is their best opportunity to do it because Ronaldo cannot afford to be playing when he will not be carried by major broadcasters
Ronaldo has become an icon of world football, and of course Saudi Arabian are willing to pay dearly just for a Ronaldo. Currently, Saudi Arabian are one of the richest countries, so with the arrival of Ronaldo, it is hoped that Saudi Arabian will be known by many more people and can make their best contribution in the world of football so that they can participate in world soccer matches against existing big clubs.
Ronaldo was the most influential football player for now. Once there was a team who sign him and then bunch of his followers will be also following him. Remember his impact will be so big for the club. He was just like an asset for the club. He was getting older but not with his influential power to the so many of his fans. that's why al nassr has been getting so many new fans were following the club.
I expect that there will be a huge increase from the various things like income from the merchandise. I can't imagine once modric and ramos will be following ronaldo move to the al nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo has his own charm as a soccer player, so it's no wonder that he is loved by many parties wherever he is. Even on social media, news about him is always a hot topic that is most often reported.
Many people think that his decision to move to the Arab League is the wrong decision because it means that this is a form of his decline as a player. But there are other things that must be seen more than that, namely the influence of its presence in the Arab League itself. After all, why bother so much about the decline in performance for players who are soon turning 40. There are many other players who, even at 30, are no longer good.

Well Nkunku is a good option, because Aubameyang is a very good player and he needs help, I see that Chelsea is a team that is getting very in tune with everything, Poter is undoubtedly a very good manager, some criticize him a lot, but I think Nkunku is the perfect choice, now we have to wait, I don't know if now they only have Nkunku in view, as I see it I think there may be other player options, when Aubameyang played for Barcelona he did so excellent, for me it was a mistake that he left, this is something that I don't know how Xavi thought of releasing it, but hey, everyone decides how their team will go.
Yes, Aubameyang is a good striker, he already proved it in Dortmund, in Arsenal, and in Barcelona.
Although he played for a short time in Barcelona, he can show us that he is a skilled and talented striker. He scored some goals in important matches and become a player who contributed very well. When he was in Arsenal, he becomes the club top scorer, too. No doubt that he is a great striker. Now, he only needs more time to show his contribution in Chelsea, he also needs another striker who can help him to optimize his potential. Sure, Nkunku seems fit with Aubameyang and Chelsea squad.

About Aubameyang leaving Barcelona, I don't think it is a mistake made by Xavi. Xavi knows that they have Lewandowski, it is not necessary to have Aubameyang too. Aubameyang must be unhappy sitting on the bench, he needs time to play regularly. So, to minimize the conflict, Barcelona prefers to sell Aubamayang.

Yes, of course, they have a lot of material just with Lewa, but I think he can't do it alone, Barcelona is a very good team but they have players who lack more courage, I don't know if Lewa wants to leave Barcelona, play in Europe League is not the same as in a UCL and that is very demotivating especially for any player of his level, he did a good job in the World Cup in Qatar, the least the player wants is to be in the UCL, and he is the right age To do so, he is a striker who can do his best at any time and contribute to his team and that is what Xavi wants, but if and only if the team cooperates.

I think that the good thing about having taken CR7 to Al-Nassr is that it will give another vision to that Arab football, it may be that this league begins to be a little more famous, not as much as the European and all its respective leagues, the more predominant such as the Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga, this is predominant, so if stars like CR7 and some others arrive, things change, I think now we can see those things or that business model that is being tried Also, after seeing everything the Arabs did in Qatar, it is something that made us aware of what they are capable of doing.

One of the things I really like that CR7 responded to the heaters:

Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo scores incredible goal at Al-Nassr training

Quote
“In Europe my work is done. I won everything. I played for the most important clubs. For me now is a new challenge. People did not know but Al-Nassr have women’s football as well and I want to give a different vision of the country.

“This is a great opportunity not only in football but to change the mentality of the new generation. I had many opportunities in Europe. Many clubs. [Also] in Australia, in Brazil, in the USA, even in Portugal many clubs tried to sign me.

We don't know until when Ronaldo is playing before his retirement. He is going to be like one of the longest playing footballers together with Ibrahimovic I guess. If he doesn't retire until the age of 40 then maybe we might see him returning to Europe for playing for a short time period. Especially to play in the Champions League, he would be more convinced. But these are all just assumptions of course. For example some people have said that he would join Sporting but it hasn't happened.

I believe that Ronaldo only accepted this challenge because he received an offer that was too good (financially) to refuse.
He will have a life of luxury in Al Muhammadiyah, a neighborhood located in the center of Riyadh, but which functions as a kind of city, where wealthy foreigners live according to European rules. There, he will find the best schools for his children, in addition to a better quality of life, with less traffic jams and pollution.

But even so, Ronaldo will face a somewhat challenging scenario in Saudi Arabia, because despite Al-Nassr being the second club with the most titles in the Saudi Championship, this is nothing compared to what he had in Europe.
The stadium, for example, has a capacity for only 25,000 people, quite different from the more than 70,000 that Ronaldo was used to.

I believe that in a short time the spotlight towards Cristiano Ronaldo should be turned off, and he should quietly retire.

leeds united today completed the signing of Maximilian Wöber. the center-back is leaving rb salzburg after 3.5 years and will join the premier league team of his former coach Jesse Marsch with a contract until 2027. leeds will reportedly pay a transfer fee of around €20 million, making MW one of the five most expensive austrian footballers in history.
and fc liverpool are reportedly still interested in buying wolves midfielder and portugal international Matheus Nunes

Leeds are still falling behind in terms of performance and squad quality and at this point in time they really need to make signings, not just signings but good signings that will improve the team and fit in immediately into the team. Maximilian Wöber will add strength to Leed's defense a position which they have been lacking. €20 million is a fair price to me and I consider the deal a fair deal. Hopefully they will be able to sign more because they really need to strengthen vital positions in the team.

He may continue to play although he is already 40 years old, but I don't think he will play until 45.
No, I doubt he will return to Europe. I guess Ronaldo will go back to his country after his contract expires in Al Nassr. Or he will retire and start to his new career as a coach.

By the way I have heard about a statement from Al-Nassr side like they wanted to sign Messi first. But after failing in doing so they went for convincing Ronaldo to sign for themselves. I don't know if this would make Ronaldo angry but I guess he would just focus on his game as of now.
Why does this matter make Ronaldo angry?
It is not big deal and It doesn't mean Messi is better than Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is a professional player, it won't bother Ronaldo's focus on his career in Al Nassr.

Modric is a key player in Real Madrid despite of his age, just like Benzema. Real Madrid rely a lot on them and there isn't until now a player that could fully replace them or play better. I am aware that Real Madrid will start renewing their contracts by 1-2 years each time, just like Ramos but their time doesn't came to an end yet to go to a Saudi club to retire..
Benzema is 35 years old, no player as his successor in Real Madrid. While Modric is 37 years old, he already has some players to be the successor. So, Benzema and Modric have different situations, we can't compare them. Sure, Benzema is likely to stay because Real Madrid still relies so much on him. But Modric can leave because Real Madrid has another player to replace him. Valverde is good enough to replace the role of Modric. However, I am sure Modric only considers leaving after the season is over already.
Modric can continue performing good for another season or maybe two unless he gets a serious injury. His presence in the field is very important and his impact could be seen once he isn't fit or absent. His successors needs more time to improve considerably to fully replace him. I believe it will be a bad decision to let him go while he is still performing good..
I don't think so. How fast his successor will be able to replace him determined by how fast his successor can adapt with the environment of madrid. You can't deny that if he was getting older. Why a big club like real madrid will still use him instead of buying the young player that can also play for long term? I have different opinion if the main reason why madrid was eyeing for jude bellingham was for replacing modric that may go out very soon.
Modric was even older compared with benzema and i have no reason for madrid to not buy bellingham from dortmund. I hope that bellingham will agree to be transferred to the real madrid.

It was a massive crowd turn out for the unveiling of Cristiano Ronaldo, This was a sign and a prove that Cristiano Ronaldo already has alot of influence on and off the pitch, Speaking was the coach of Al Nassr Ruud Garcial who confirm that in previous matches the normally have 3 or 4 journalists around but the massive turn up of journalists today was something beyond his imagination, he joked that wished the journalists continue coming around in the future to cover there matches. Negotiations are on going to see if the matches of this league can be transmitted in other to keep the Ronaldo fans and the rest of the world updated with everything in that league.

Adana Demirspor sent Balotelli to Sion and now they buy another ex superstar striker Hulk. They agreed with him and Atletico Mineiro club, we may hear this deal soon. Although Hulk is 36 years old he's still great at finishing. He scored 29 goals in 46 matches with Atletico Mineiro. I believe he can score a lot of goals in Turkish Super League as well. When Winter transfer season open they will sign the deal.

I think Al-Nassr club and Saudi Arabia in the wider picture have other plans related to other domains, for example tourism and investments, they won't depend on oil forever so they try to change the thoughts in western people's minds about the region, already Qatar managed to organise spectacular World Cup and now Saudi attracting attentions by signing Ronaldo. You might be surprised if you heard that they will bring more well-known players and won't stop here, some of the possible names are Modric and Sergio Ramos, even other Saudi clubs plan to do the same.
I think it is not a "big picture" type of thing, this is Ronaldo we are talking about, and if you can afford to get him and if you could just promote him as much as you can to promote your club, even after he retires there will be people who will talk about you as the last club of Ronaldo (probably) and that is a big enough deal.

People assume that there is something bigger going on and something huge will come out because they do not want to accept the fact that Ronaldo is not good enough to play in big leagues and matter anymore, and just dropped to Al-Nassr to play for money, and that is why they are expecting something big come out of this, but won't. Dude is not a Saudi Arabian league player.

This is the strangest contract I have ever seen  Roll Eyes meaning if this season Newcastle ends in top 4 then next season Ronaldo will be loaned to Newcastle?
this is really interesting when Ronaldo still has a chance to play in the Champions League  Smiley and I suspect the partnership between Al Nassr and Newcastle has the potential for good financial returns.

I know, it's strange

This is the original source, it's from Marca, a famous sports journal from Spain: https://www.marca.com/en/football/2023/01/02/63b2df1b22601dd3108b45c7.html

Source, the same: https://www.marca.com/en/football/2023/01/02/63b2df1b22601dd3108b45c7.html

but there's some news saying this is not true:

Source: https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-transfers/story/4843460/no-newcastle-clause-in-cristiano-ronaldo-contract-sources

I have some doubts right now, in a few days we can know what's true

Joining Al-Nassr was not Ronaldo's main goal, but there is one thing that I think makes sense why Ronaldo would accept this offer, not just money, but trophies. If Ronaldo can bring Al-Nassr to win the Asian champions league, then he has 2 prestigious trophies on 2 continents. Currently there are only UCL and ACL which are popular inter-club leagues in one continent, his success in bringing Al-Nassr to the championship will complete a new trophy for him.
It may be like that, but let's see. If they just expect Ronaldo it seems too difficult. But winning two Champions League trophies from those two different continents is a new record. Maybe it could be a reasonable reason. But when he heard the interview he reasoned that he came to Asia with a noble vision. He wants to share the knowledge he got on the Asian continent. But there's a funny clause I read if Newcastle pass the UCL then he should be loaned out there. This is because Newcastle is owned by a Saudi Arabian consortium company

Ronaldo has indicated that his work in Europe was over. So it seems that he himself was no longer open to a transfer to a club in Europe. No idea if it's the truth, but he's going to earn 200 million in 2.5 years at his new club. Not a bad salary. Must be very different from the cultures he was used to in England, Italy and Spain. Many things are forbidden there. But you will also experience empty stands there. He will have to train less hard and try less hard. Could also be that Ronaldo has been met because of the upcoming World Cup in a few years that Saudi Arabia is after.

In the world cup it was obvious again that Luka Modric still belongs to the best midfielders on the planet, even though he is already 37 years old. He is just pure class even though he is pretty old now. He has a great technique and his passes and especially his awareness on the pitch are probably still unmatched. I think though that his age could become a problem soon, because of the position he is playing. Usually central midfielders belong to the players that have to cover the biggest distance during a game and of course this gets harder the older you get. So maybe it would be a good move to only let him play as a 10 in the future. So he could still use all of his great skills, but does not have to run so much anymore.
