Barcelona are in no rush to sell Netherlands forward Memphis Depay and are happy to keep the 28-year-old until his contract expires in the summer. Why should Barcelona be in a hurry to sell Depay? He is playing very well at the moment and it is questionable how much money Barcelona has to buy new players.

I actually thought that Barcelona is going to sell the players that they are not playing regularly. One of them is Memphis Depay. If Barcelona sells him I think Barcelona is going to get a good amount of money and also it is going to be better for Barcelona to manage the wages.

However, I believe Barcelona is going to keep him as the potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski. Because you know that Robert  Lewandowski does not get injured easily. But what if he does get injured? Barcelona will be having a very big problem if that happens.  So, I think Barcelona is just keeping him for safety. But is that okay with Depay?

At this point, I think he doesn't remain much to do for Guardiola.

Completely abandon the race for the premier's victory and do all in to try to win the Champion.
Guardiola itself has been confirming it. No chance for city to win EPL unless arsenal will get so many lose streak. It seems like that arsenal will be locking EPL title for this season as soon as possible. It's better for guardiola changes his focus into the UCL as a trophy that he has not yet gotten it with city. That's good to see that he was changing his mind after seeing his team might have very small chance to win EPL.

There are other trophies that can be won too.
Could be a mind game from guardiola to put another level pressure on artera to make him overconfudence and hoping for arteta to fall on it , i could be wrong but guardiola always doing his thing in smart way , i still believe manchester city the one who could catch arsenal.

Despite arsenal being unbeatable right now.
I don't think so. You shall see that arsenal was winning against totenham. Having 8 points gap to the arsenal was a lot. Arsenal will be facing manchester united which will become a very strong opponent that may prevent arsenal to get full points but with the current performance from arsenal and im not even feeling doubt if the club will able to win against MU. City will be also facing totenham. These matches very important for both. If city keeps performing like when it was against united and i think that draw may become the result against totenham.
It seems like that guardiola starting to be hopeless to get EPL for this season. Pep was focusing to get into the UCL right now

I don't know if it is really true but it is claimed that Chelsea are ready to listen to offers for Sterling in this transfer window.

It has been only half a season since he joined the team. I don't understand why Chelsea can be eager to sell him already now. He isn't the reason of their bad form in the end. It is due to the team effort and some weaknesses in specific positions. Now they are trying to fix these by making new transfers. Sterling is still a good attacking player and he can be useful for Chelsea. They shouldn't be in a hurry to part ways with him just yet.

I don't see messi being as greedy as cristiando ronaldo, moreover messi is not very old yet anyone can see that messi's moves are still the same, also messi's dribbling quality is still far superior in relation to many players , while in the case of cristiano ronaldo he started by not participating in manchester united friendly matches in the pre season games, and this meant that the manchester united coach did not put ronaldo to play and with that ronaldo's skills declined a lot to the point of having a bad performance in the world cup, and again he went to complain about the coach which made him stay on the bench, while messi thinking about having some cases reported that he also complained about the barcelona coach, the one who destroyed the barcelona he was before xavi, messi still has 100% of his active skills, he doesn't need to go play in arabia where they have low quality soccer
I think it's not a matter of being greedy or not but in the end it comes down to choice.
Regardless of what we initially thought that Ronaldo would not play at Al Nassr because in terms of skills and dribbling he could still play in Europe but in the end he went to this club. it is not impossible that this also happened to Messi in the end.
Even though we don't really like it, believe it or not, Ronaldo's coming to the Arab League is clearly like opening the door for several European players who will be easily recruited here and it's not impossible for Messi in this case because still with money everything can still be turned around.

Chelsea signed Joao Felix overthrowing Manchester United, Arsenal, and Manchester City who were also in the race, now they have hijacked Mudryk, I wonder what their plan is now that they still go on a hunt for them. Does it mean that the attacking line is still contributing to Chelsea's poor performance? Enzo Fernandez would have been the best option for Chelsea's central midfield but I wonder why Bolly finds it difficult to look into it.
It doesn't matter what Chelsea sees yet; they will suffer. Chelsea can hijack as much as they want, but they need prayers rather than players. It was rather disappointing to see Chelsea's performance despite strengthening their attacking line. Are there any strategies Chelsea has to get the best out of its players? Let's see how it goes.
It's hard to see their condition now.
But on the other hand some possibilities can still happen, their current performance reminds me of Barcelona's gamble at the start of this season even though it's still a little complicated now, but I still feel they have a chance for the EPL this time as long as Potter can maximize the players they brought in now especially considering their current condition which is in 10th position but the points are still not too far from position 5 .

There's no need to label the latter as greedy; these are just rumors, and we don't see that happening in the near future. What motivates Messi to join a club and play against Ronaldo will undoubtedly appear to be a fight or struggle for superiority. This is not what football is about, and everyone should stay and play with a team that values them and gives them the opportunity to prove themselves.
The money was huge and tempting, but I am sure that if Ronaldo had had an offer from a team still in the champions league, he would have maybe chosen to leave the money and just go ahead to play in the Champions League, something that he has always wanted. No offer came that was good, and the move to Al Nassr was like his last option, and not an empty last option, a last option with lots of financial benefits. Messi is still playing for a team that even values him more, he is comfortable there, money is not his problem, there is no need considering a move.

Lionel Messi does not have the reputation of being greedy, but to be honest i think he just wants to earn as much money as possible than any other professional footballer. The reason why FC Barcelona is almost bankrupt now with more than 1 Billion € of debts is mainly the fact that they have paid Lionel Messi around 110 Million € per season during his last 5-year-contract and that was just not sustainable once the covid pandemic hit.
Then they had to offer Lionel Messi a contract which was paying him way less than 110 M€ obiously but still a good contract and Lionel Messi did not agree to that. So i think he could have easily stay at Barca if he did not care for money but he decided to leave and to continue to earn big time at PSG. So Messi is just as greedy as everyone else.

Even so, he was eliminated in the end. Depay's condition is not too good for a big club because indeed he has failed at Manchester United, he also failed at Barcelona at this time even though his condition as a striker is actually not too bad. Now it's just a matter of waiting whether Barcelona will actually auction off this player or not because from a readiness perspective it looks like Atletico are ready with Depay.
What's next? Depay has not yet gotten regular time to play. he was become a useless player in the barcelona. If he will be still continue to follow his ego and he will miss opportunity to play actively in another club like atletico madrid.
Atletico madrid was also a good team. atletico was rarely absent from playing in the champion league. He must not follow his ego to stay even longer in barcelona while lewandowski has always become the main choice by xavi.
It doesn't make sense if he will still try to stay at barcelona. I think that depay must try to be open minded player. He can get more experience in another team
Agree with what you said, he's still very young at the moment and of course the chance he has a long way to go than remaining on the bench is actually better for him to move soon.
Indeed, in this case Atletico are still below Barcelona and still have a coach who is a bit annoying in my opinion, so this is still a challenge. But on the other hand, in this case, being in Barcelona is not the right choice for him.

They might as well not sell it, in this situation I don't know what's better... It seems like the player will be unhappy because he will still not play enough, the management will also be unhappy because they did not get the amount of money that they originally planned to get from the sale. I wonder how long the crisis in Barcelona will last for them to feel comfortable with transfers...
Actually, I don't really like to say they are in a crisis because their conditions and actions are actually not really in accordance with their current conditions and indeed that is evident when they spend a lot of money on the transfers they are doing.
As for Depay, I think leaving is a solution. regardless of anything he won't get anything at Barcelona unless he is willing to spend himself on the bench.

That's not exactly what I meant. The situation is bad because if Barcelona can't sell the player, it won't make the player any better, he will really sit on the bench because of hopelessness, not getting playing practice. In the case of Barcelona - they won't get the money they could have spent in the summer to acquire another player

I also agree that 100 million euros is not an incredible amount of money for transfers anymore. It is not a big deal for rich teams as well. Maybe not all of those players deserve this much money for their transfer fee but the current transfer market is like this. There is nothing to do about it.

I hope that Mudryk manages to meet the expectations. He has been signed with big hopes for sure. Chelsea just do their best to improve their productivity as for scoring goals. They are still having problems on scoring multiple goals in a game. It happened against C. Palace as well.

In as much as Arsenal missed out on Mudryk i think its good business from Arsenal. He's not worth that much. Because a player is good doesn't mean you should always break the bank to get him. Mudryk shouldn't be worth more than 45m. Chelsea have been signing a lot of players since the takeover but not many of them are doing really well. I do not know their plans for all these deal but they can't just go about signing every available player.
This Mudryk deal that Arsenal missed out on is very painful. We have really missed out on a lot of players that we really expected to join us, from Raphinha the first time, to Felix to now Mudryk.
I was wondering who we are going to sign now since Mudryk is gone to Chelsea and it is looking like Trossard from Brighton is an option for Arsenal right now.
source
There is also news that Arsenal have launched another move to get Raphinha again from Barcelona.
source

Arsenal did miss out on Mudryk but for some reason I feel like Arsenal just baited Chelsea to get this player for a price that is absolutely unbelievable. Raphinha can still be a good option for Arsenal. But at this point, I am not sure that no one else is going to hijack this player from them again. Arsenal is having a good performance this season. But they are not being able to be very successful in the transfer market. Because any player whom that are being targeted by Arsenal is actually being bought by some other club in the end.

100 million is now the usual price for a player who is clearly above average. It's time to get used to it. Moreover, taking into account the level of income of English clubs, and most importantly, the level of competition, when 7-8 teams claim the top 4 at once, I think this is just the beginning of a "dead spiral": the clubs are forced to spend more because otherwise they will fall out of European competition, but other clubs they also spend more (there are only 4 trips to the Champions League) and this destroys their budgets. Within a few years, I'm sure the Premier League will have to come to some kind of cap on either wages or the entire budget.
100 million is looking more like a regular fee for potential younger players this days. My only worry for this kind of arrivals to the premier is pressure to settle down fast. The fans and football loves create high expectations for this kinda of players and this way them down. Ten Hag has recently said he doesn’t want to sign players with huge amount or high wages because of the expectation that comes with.

A lot of people still think that 100 million is a big number for a transfer. And a player needs to have a certain set of skills and proof of performance to get a transfer like that. I think people need to understand that recently the world has gone through big inflation.

And that have decreased the value of money significantly. So right now a hundred million transfer is not that rare. If a player does have at least a little bit of potential, he can get a 100 million transfer. In this case, I think that's what is happening. No way I think that this player deserves a transfer this big, but thanks to inflation. I personally do not believe that Chelsea should have made this transfer.

KTChampions, I also think that you are absolutely right. If Chelsea is still going to keep the coach, I believe that they will have to spend a lot of money doing that. If this does not work out it is going to be a disaster for Chelsea.

They brought back a player like him even though this player was really wanted by Arsenal.
But hey how much money have they put in transfers this season I think Todd really wants to complicate things now because with so many players now when they fail to be in a decent position at the end of the season this is going to be quite the subject of criticism big for them.

Honestly, I think that is going to be the case in the end. It is likely that they will not be able to finish in a favorable position on the table in the long run. There is no doubt that they will face a lot of difficulties and a lot of people are going to point fingers at them for it. In line with what was expected, Chelsea fans are also not happy with the decisions that are being made by the club. I just hope that this does not turn out to be another deal like the Romelu Lukaku deal.

Actually their reversal could still happen even though it is difficult because regardless of anything the league is still quite long but the problem is when they make spending that is difficult to control now which makes it a little complicated.
Todd is really controversial in my opinion because what he did was actually a brave act. regardless of whatever their condition is actually not possible but continue to be forced.

Liverpool are also preparing for a move to sign Ruben Neves after Newcastle have started to be interested in him.

As you know Liverpool have been in search of a decent attacking midfielder for a long time. They had an eye on Bellingham and in fact they still have. However Real Madrid seem very likely to sign him as the player is eager to choose them over Liverpool. However I don't know if Neves would be a good choice for Liverpool to solve the problems in the midfield. Neves is a decent player but I think it would be better for Liverpool to sign a more skilled midfielder. I'm sure they can find the right player if they become a little more patient.

Chelsea have made a 30m euro (£26.5m) bid for PSV Eindhoven's England Under-21 winger Noni Madueke, 20. A lot of money for a very young player.
Noni Madueke is actually showing good potential. So, I do not think that 30 million euros is actually too much money.
I think this is a good amount of money for a  player like him. Especially at a time when everyone is throwing 100 million transfers here and there.

Liverpool have ended contract talks with midfielder Naby Keita and will let the 27-year-old Guinea international leave on a free transfer in the summer. The player did not prove himself in Liverpool and leaves as a playing and financial failure.
Naby Keïta has not been very good for Liverpool. At least not recently.  So, I think this is not a very bad decision taken by them.
But what I understand is that he is still a very good player. So, a lot of clubs are going to be very interested to bring him to the team.

Tottenham will meet with Sporting Lisbon this week to discuss a deal for Spain right-back Pedro Porro, 23, who has agreed personal terms with the club. Porro is a very promising player and could be a great reinforcement for Tottenham.
Tottenham has conceded a lot of goals this season. And obviously, understandably they are trying to bring in defenders so that they can make the defense stronger.
Actually, a few minutes ago they were playing against Arsenal in Premier League and they conceded 2 goals in 59  minutes.
So, I think we all understand why they are trying to bring in defending players to the team.

They gave 100 million euros to a footballer whose talents were not proven in high-level leagues. I don't really understand this transfer. I hope this transfer is not remembered as a bad joke in the following years. I think they need a clear scorer first of all. They need a striker who can score at least 10 or 15 goals in a season. I'm sure Mykhailo Mudryk will be a good transfer and will serve Chelsea for many years, but they need to make urgent action plans instead of making long-term plans. Otherwise, they will end the league in a very bad order and they will not be able to play in European cups the next season.

100 million is now the usual price for a player who is clearly above average. It's time to get used to it. It makes sense, because now the actual price of 100 million seems to be no longer a price that can be said to be astonishing as before because there are already a lot of players who are already there, both in clauses and recruited by new clubs.
It looks like the longer record player sales will continue to rise, regardless of what it is now we have to get used to it as player prices continue to increase as the season progresses.
