Todd Boehly has been bossing the transfer market for Chelsea so far, pulling deals and making things happen. Chelsea management are seriously making efforts to strengthen their side and eager to turn things around. I guess Boehly's project in the long run is interesting as you say and joint with the mouthwatering offers Murdryk could not resist. I don't blame the player anyway because he had little or no choice after the club had agreed a deal with Chelsea for his signature.
I am quite disappointed with this news, because initially Mudryk really wanted to play with the Gunners. however, it seems Donetsk is reluctant to let go of Mudryk at the nominal price offered by Arsenal. in the end Chelsea succeeded in hijacking Arsenal's move to bring in this young winger from Shakhtar Donetsk, something quite fantastic with what the Chelsea boss had done. at least now Chelsea has several newcomers and what is interesting, will Chelsea still be hunting for other players, especially for midfielders in this January transfer window.
Speaking of Arsenal, by the way it looks like Arteta has no other choice but to sign a pure Striker this January. the reason is, Arsenal really need a striker services purely for the needs of his team. Arteta needs other options, apart from only relying on Eddie Nketiah, who has yet to prove his sharpness.
Chelsea has got good signings in the past few months which will boost up their performance in the coming weeks for sure.
But I have to say that I did not like how they snatched out Mudryk from Arsenal.
I think the player himself wanted to play for Arsenal in the first place,
and maybe his previous team just wanted to give him a way to whoever paid a bit more money and in this case that was Chelsea.
Whatever, I hope that with the recent signings, Chelsea will be able to overcome the tough phase they are going through.
