Barcelona are planning to sign another experienced centre-back after hearing about Pique's retirement decision.

The rumoured player is the 31-year-old defender Inigo Martinez and Barcelona are thinking of making the move in January. He is actually a regular player in Athletic Bilbao's starting eleven now. However his contract is expiring next summer as well. I don't think that it would be difficult for Barcelona to convince him to sign for them in this condition. Pique's annual salary is €29.5m as far as I know. After his retirement Barcelona want to take advantage of the financial relief to go for Bernardo Silva but I don't think they'd get a positive answer from Manchester City.
The hell, what's going on with Barcelona, I found an article where Barcelona want to sign this player since 2017 [1], but now they're still want to sign him. Honestly he doesn't play very well as center back, just an average player only... also he's already old too. I think lack of money is the reason why they're choose to sign an old player and doesn't have enough popularity. Inigo Martinez is from Spain too and he's a close friend with Pique, maybe there's an internal agreement where Pique recommend Martinez.

I don’t think that he is a top-class defender, to be honest. He is good but not up to the standards that maybe some Barcelona fans expect him to be.

Yes, he is already 31 years old. But at the same time, I also get why Barcelona wants to sign him.

He’s not going to cost a lot of money which Barcelona doesn’t have right now. And with him the money that Barcelona is going to spend, I think they will get a decent amount of performance. But I don’t think Barcelona will be able to defeat teams like Real Madrid with this type of defense.

german bundesliga club eintracht frankfurt and philadelphia union (mls) have agreed on a transfer of us-wonderkindy Paxten Aaronson, according to reports. the deal amounts to around $4 million + additional costs + transfer fee. PA won the golden ball at the concacaf u20 championship. medical and conclusion of the contract should take place in the next week
and another mls player is on eintracht's radar... according to sources, the eagles are also interested in Jhon Durán from chicago fire. the signing of the colombian will be difficult, however, as chicago is demanding a high transfer fee
i think that one of the two will move to the bundesliga

Paxten Aaronson is a young player with lots of prospects. I also read about a possible move to Eintracht Frankfurt from Philadelphia. The young star is said to be priced for about $4million which in my opinion seems like a fair deal, the deal as of today is yet to be agreed but Eintracht Frankfurt are hopeful a deal will be agreed in the coming weeks.

Will Klopp be sacked in the end?
~snip~

I actually don't agree if Liverpool sack him. Firing him will only add to the trouble. I think at this time they should give support in the winter transfer market to make additional strength.
I think actually Mane's departure also leaves Salah with no  friends on the front line. DIa seems to work alone. While the big hopes are actually on Nunez, but right now he's even worse. He hasn't been able to adapt quickly to the EPL game.

Will Klopp be sacked in the end?
As far as I know there is a possibility that Klopp will be sacked but not because he is bad at managing the team. It's just that Klopp's moment and grip on the team is nowhere to be seen. Losing to Leeds and Nottingham Forest is proof that a club as big as Liverpool has experienced many setbacks. Again not because Klopp is bad at team building, but it looks like Klopp has lost the support of Liverpool's top brass. The management team did not provide the players Klopp needed and only relied on the remaining players. If we look ahead Liverpool will find it difficult to compete with several clubs such as Man City, Chelsea and even Newcastle because they have good enough finances to supply the purchase of players. Meanwhile, Liverpool are currently moving away from the top 5 positions in the standings.

I read if madrid are interested in palmeiras players. He is a young 16-year-old player named Endrick. In addition, it seems that PSG are also interested in him. I think Madrid have a good history of young players from Brazil, they have had Vinicius, Rodrygo and Reinier. Endrick is a player like Mbappe he can be a Centre-Forward, Right Winger or Left Winger.

If Real Madrid really have serious interest in 16 year old Palmeiras player Endrick it is a good move, several top clubs like Arsenal are also interested in signing the 16 year old, PSG seem to be also interested in the player. A move to Arsenal or Real Madrid would definitely be better for Endrick, good atmosphere and environment to help him develop and improve his career. He is also versatile and can play in different positions he will definitely add quality to the team.
But indeed in this case it seems Palmeiras also do not want to let this young player go just like that because there are some reports saying that they have set a price of around 45 million and accompanied by a performance bonus they almost set a clause of 60 million and this is clearly a price that is not really worth it. too much sense for a 16 year old player.

News of Firmino's departure has been circulating since last season because it is true that, despite his almost expiring contract, Liverpool have several young players who have shifted their position.
But maybe now it will be a little different because some time ago I read the news that it was said Firmino was discussing a new contract with Liverpool now and that was indeed the impact of his performance this season which could still bring Liverpool in some crucial leagues, especially at this time Liverpool are still very difficult to win. attack so that letting Firmino go was clearly not the right decision.
Roberto Firmino is one of Liverpool best players if they let him go it will be difficult to get a win even though they have many players who still have a young age that doesn't necessarily guarantee victory, so at least Liverpool should try to consider Roberto Firmino to keep his position at Liverpool .

Roberto Firmino's services and contribution to the Liverpool team is indeed impressive and I think he deserves an extension in the coming year. I am not so sure if Liverpool will want to extend his contract especially with Nunez being present and his age being another determining factor but it will be good news to see Firmino get a further extension.

So even if we have the World cup the winter transfer window will not change its date.
World Cup ends in December so I think there is no reason to change the period of the transfer window. I still think we are gonna have some good transfers but not much of notable players. There are lot of players whose contract expiry is getting near and possible that other clubs might contact them and hopefully we will be able to see some good transfers.
World Cup is an opportunity to discover hidden talent in some countries and to recruit them in this winter transfer window since as you mentioned there isn't much known notable players to pick.
There is Japan, Senegal, Cameroon and South America as usual that might have interesting players to follow and recruit in different positions imo. I don't think there will be much strikers but midfielders and defenders mainly.

About center-back Xavi will look into January transfers there are several candidates but that has not been decided yet as it will wait until after the world cup is over. Of course, after losing Gerard Pique then Xavi is here moving quickly to fill his position but he says Iñigo Martínez is an existing target.
https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1588511651003006977
I hope Xavi will consider top center backs, Iñigo Martínez seems not strong enough. I think he is still an average center-back, he won't add an instant impact to improve Barcelona defense line. I am sure Milan Škriniar and Niklas Süle are better options for Barcelona, they are stronger and have the ideal height as central backs. Barcelona needs a strong center back because their defense looks rather weak, Xavi should be aware of the current weaknesses of his squad.

Manchester United seem confident about convincing Dalot and Rashford to sign a contract extension.

I would like to see Rashford staying especially. Because he is still a young talent for the team in the attacking line. Maybe he isn't always a sharp-shooter but his general effort so far has been quite good. The more he finds chances in the starting eleven the better he performs. He has got 7 goals and 3 assists in 16 matches in total so far. As Ronaldo is on the verge of leaving the team as well the team need Rashford a lot now. I know that they have Martial also but I see Rashford as a more skilled striker than Martial to be honest.

I think in that case they can find worthy replacements for both players, at least they can buy for a lot of money, because a young talent (even a mature and established player) seeing huge money will immediately sign a contract. Manchester United have no problem with money, so if they want to, they will spend a lot of money.
Rashford has been a Manchester United player for so many seasons and he has been seeing regular match but every time we keep saying he's a young player he will improve, when will he improve and where will he improve to again? He has been like that for so many years with Anthony Martial. When you see players that will improve you will know, players like vinicious Junior, Mbappe and Haaland are improving day-in-day-out .

So if rashford wants to leave Manchester United should let him leave other players will come but I will strongly advise Manchester United to renew the contract of Dalot.

You're right, he was very popular when he first joined the team, now it's not that it's less popular, it's just that he's growing up. Yes, and his skills are getting better, maybe because the player is not fed with money, like Mbappe? It turns out he plays for the idea, not for money. Yes, his salary is big, but not relative to other players.

To be honest, I think Firmino should be kept in the team despite his age. He is actually 31 years old now which is not too old in my opinion. Apart from that, his performance so far has been more impressive than Nunez. As long as this goes on like this Firmino can be an important part of the starting eleven.

It's like he is improving his performance more as seasons go on. This level is already better than the one in the previous season as I indicated before. Liverpool shouldn't lose their productive players otherwise this would weaken them more in performance.

Firmino has the experience and that is what creates a big difference between him and Nunez. I also think Liverpool shouldn't part ways with Firmino anytime soon until they find a better striker or Nunez adjusts into the team. I think even if Nunez starts scoring they can find Firmino's use as a backup striker but as of now I think they need Firmino more than ever.

Why sell him, he was influential in the match against Brighton
Firmino should not be sold at all that will not be a good deal for Liverpool
That player contributed to the premier league and champions league experience matters

I don't think that there is any need to even discuss about a possible manager change for Barcelona in the near future.

Because Xavi is already a good choice for the team actually. I know that they aren't successful in the Champions League still. But this isn't a problem that they cannot leave behind. Xavi just needs to create a different solution for the big games there. Otherwise they are already doing very well in the La Liga now. I think the board would continue to believe in Xavi to make this team become much better than this in time. It is better for Arteta to stay at Arsenal while doing a great job as well.
Xavi is a good coach, every team at one stage go through this phase of having bad games and performances, It will definitely pass only if Barcelona can be a little more patient with Xavi to try and turn things around soon. Xavi is a good choice for Barcelona and I'm sure he is the right man for the job and can turn things around, this isn't a problem that cannot be solved, they are already doing well in the league sitting second place below madrid with a point gap so it is not so bad after all.

As far as I am concerned, it seems like the deal between Frankfurt and Aaronson has already been signed if I am not mistaken. My understanding is that he is about to undergo a medical checkup within the next few days. As a result, it is quite certain that he is going to be playing in the Bundesliga as soon as possible.

Regarding Jhon Durán, I am not so sure since I last heard anything about him and Frankfurt two weeks ago, so I am not sure what the situation is. The fact is, I don't think Frankfurt are actually very interested in pursuing this player at this point in time.

Pretty comfortable  Cheesy The player performs well in the World Cup -> gets a fat contract and a serious promotion. Each World Cup has revealed new stars (sometimes old ones but showed them from a different side), given the fact that now many clubs are dissatisfied with their game/position in the standings and are looking for strengthening, then all ambitious players have reasons to play to the maximum.

Actually in this case there is a condition for Xavi now, with their heavy spending in the transfer market of course Laporta wants good results and the target of trophies in the current season and Xavi must be able to bring that because if not now there are discussions Laporta is approaching Arteta although I'm not sure he will want to go to Barcelona but it is possible there will be other candidates to replace if Xavi can't bring a trophy this season.
