I didn't know that Marcus Rashford had a 12-month extension option on his contract to be triggered. Manchester United have started to negotiate with some of their important players for extending their contracts. He is one of these players currently. If they don't convince him to extend then they will guarantee one more year by triggering the option at least. Maybe Rashford might not rush things about extending his contract with the team. Because he heard about some interest by PSG before and he would like to wait to see if he will get any offer.
Manchester United are in talks with De Gea at the same time because his contract is ending next summer normally just as Rashford. De Gea is the most important part of the team now actually so they should do their best to convince him. If it wasn't for his great saves so far the team would have been in a much worse condition.
He has never had interest with the move to Paris Saint Germans, that was really initiated by his brother so Manchester United could raise his salary they had initially with him.
Erik Ten Hag has also cleared those talks about him saying they have long term plans with him ( Marcus Rashford ) he was indeed Manchester Uniteds pivot during the second season with Ole Gunner Solskjear but all didn't go as planned for that season as he got injured.
Good they want to keep David De Gea at Manchester United, he has been a good shot stopper not until the Introduction of Harry Maguire and some lazy defending. Chris Smalling loaned or sold was far better than H-M!
Harry Maguire is the worst ever defender transfer for Manchester United.
They paid 87 million euros to Leicester for signing him. Leicester must be very contented with that deal. Manchester United's problem is this actually. They are pouring a lot of money for almost every player in the recent years. They should do a proper research before splurging on a player. I hope that Antony's end won't be similar to Maguire here. He is a quite talented player though and Erik ten Hag must be knowing what he is doing now. They have spent €100m for him in the end and Antony will be under pressure.
Man United often buy players at too high a price, it doesn't matter if the player plays well, the problem is that some of the players bought by Man United
are underperforming. For example, Harry Maguire, as you said, is the worst defender buy by Man United. Of course Man United are very regret to spend
so much money to buy Harry Maguire. Moreover, it is impossible for Man United to sell Maguire again, it is certain that even if there is a club that wants
to buy Maguire, the price will fall. So instead of selling Maguire cheaply, it's better for Man United to make Maguire a substitute.
But it looks like Man United never learned with some of Man United's overpriced purchases, they repeated the same thing by buying Antony from Ajax at
too high a price in my opinion. Hopefully Antony can make a big contribution to Man United, and I hope the management of Man United can be wiser
in spending money to buy players. Jadon Sancho is also one of the players bought by Man United at a price too expensive, fortunately Sancho's
performance this season is very good, because the previous season Sancho's performance was very bad.
