In the transfer window last summer, Manchester United were desperate to sign De Jong from Barcelona.
even the red devils, reportedly have reached an agreement with barcelona regarding the transfer of de jong. however, de Jong's transfer failed to materialize because the player was reluctant to join the Man United squad. there were actually a lot of rumors about a move for de jong in the last transfer window.
but clearly, no agreement has been reached so far. de jong himself is still needed by Xavi to this day to stay in his plans, however, if in the next transfer window barcelona can get Benardo silva from man city, there is no reason for Xavi to keep de jong at camp nou.

With most chances he is going to be second choice for Barcelona because Xavi and management was serious about offloading him in last season but due to few unknown reasons this not happen, but he has done good job and having good play for his favorite club with current situation at Chelsea and Manchester United we can say this is good decision from him because both clubs are struggling badly and having bad time with performance and settling players due to new coaches system which is not working for many players, and they are unable to give their best.

But one thing is surely as Barcelona is doing hopefully they will settle with errors which are having win Frankie De Jong and try to offload him in coming transfer window as now Bayern Munich is also interested, and he can go there for better future.

We should all know that Manchester United did not allow him to leave the club,after when he declared that he was no longer interested in playing for Manchester United because they didn't qualify for champions league,therefore,he is no longer playing with his heart,and that has affected his performances on the pitch.I personally think it's not good to keep an unhappy player at a club,what I thought was going to happen is what is happening now.There is no way a player like Ronaldo will be on the pitch,and he will not play well for you,he is simply not happy that's all.

Ronaldo's main challenge started when he wants to leave Manchester United by all means because he wanted to play in the Champions league. His decision affected his relationship with the club and even the fans negatively. His market value would continue to reduce if he doesn't improve his performance, which might be very difficult considering his age and less playing time.

Frenkie de Jong is a young talented player that any club or coach would be very glad to have in the team. But due to the financial challenge Barcelona had, they wanted to sell him to raise funds and also reduce wage bills. And the club had already made the necessary adjustments to cover up his absence, but he insisted to stay in the club. Now he has to endure being a substitute which would definitely affect his performance and future value. Sometimes it is better to leave a club that is not really in need of your service for even a less prestigious club that is desperately in need of you. This is because a good player deserves more playing time to improve his performance and market value.

that's difficult for him to show the change of his performance caused by he was rarely being played by ten haag. From so matches that already played for MU and so far ronaldo was not giving impressive result just like it was rarely creating assist or even making goal. We know that he was a goal machine in the past but since he is become even older and this is also giving a huge impact to his performance in the manchester united. That's not a big surprise to see his price will be going down even further if he will not even show another good performance.

Talented, but apparently not needed by any team. If he was really considered talented, then some top club would have taken him to their club, but alas, that did not happen.
