Ramsdale has gone to Southampton and that's why Arsenal have prepared a new goalkeeper as his replacement. Surely Mikel Arteta doesn't want to rely only on David Raya this season and therefore he must immediately lock in a deal with the Espanyol goalkeeper before today's deadline ends.

Regarding competition in a team, it is a natural thing and when Ramsdale chose to leave, he already knew what would happen if he continued to be on the bench. Ramsdale is a good goalkeeper but Mikel Arteta is very strict about his player selection. I think with the fee that Espanyol wants, Arsenal can still do it and actually it is not a big fee.
In the last match against Aston Villa Ramsdale was still in the substitute line-up and I haven't seen any news that he has officially become a Southampton player or maybe I missed something about his future. David Raya is Mikel Arteta's mainstay so Ramsdale doesn't get a place in the team and staying without playing time will affect his performance and of course he'd rather move to another club than stay at Arsenal.

But if you look closely, both goalkeepers have the same level of weakness where both make blunders, but David Raya's advantage is that he is better able to guard the goal area more safely than Ramsdale and maybe that's why Mikel Arteta prefers David Raya to be the main goalkeeper.
Ramsdale was previously the main goalkeeper of Arsenal and was able to break through the main line up when he was just recruited from Sheffield United and could replace the position previously occupied by Bernard Leno, but slowly he actually lost his consistency in playing and often made blunders that made him finally lose his place after David Raya came, if he continues to be at Arsenal then it seems that it will only make his career dim after David Raya distant performance consistent at the moment in guarding the Arsenal goal, currently Southampton  is the likely to sign him and reportedly both parties now only need to complete a few paperwork to complete his move.

Arsenal actually have another backup goalkeeper, namely Karl Hein but they are also loaning him to Real Valladolid at the moment so to maximize the goalkeeper position , of course Arsenal are currently starting to try to bring in Joan Garcia from espanyol, but it seems that Arsenal and espanyol still have not found an agreement for Joan Garcia price, espanyol is still holding on for 30 million euros while Arsenal is offering 25 million euros to complete the deal so It looks like we won't see the transfer happen anytime soon.

Man, I still can't believe this, how is it possible that after a great season on loan at Real Madrid, Kepa has now joined Bournemouth. Cheesy

An unusual career decline chosen by Kepa but it seems he also has no other choice but to join the mediocre EPL team and maybe he has also resigned himself to the current situation at Chelsea. Actually Kepa still hopes that Real Madrid will sign him again but considering Lunin's departure has not happened until now then his chances of returning to Los Blancos are gone.

With this at least Kepa will be Bournemouth's main mainstay for the goalkeeper position and that will help Bournemouth secure their goal from conceding many goals, especially if we remember Kepa is one of the goalkeepers with good reflexes.
Real Madrid already solid with Courtois and Lunin, so they currently don't need third goalkeeper.

Yeah Kepa has no option, so he choose to join mediocre team. Honestly it's quite dangerous to join Bournemouth because this team isn't completely safe in Premier League, they were relegated in the last 2 years, so there's a chance they might relegated to Championship.

Kepa need to play all out.
Courtois and Lunin make a strong keeping team for Real Madrid. No arguments there. But Kepa's situation? Man, that's quite messy. Kepa was scheduled to be Lunin's backup, until Lunin considered quitting. But Lunin stayed, and Kepa's left hanging. He wants to play, not heat the bench. So, back to Chelsea he goes.  Eight kepters at Chelsea? That's a horrible circus. Kepa's fighting for minutes is hard. There is a risk in Bournemouth. They are candidates for relegation. For Kepa, though, it presents an opportunity to shine. He must demonstrate his starting-caliber keeping

Bigger clubs will call if he balls out. In case he fails? Well, that is a career killer. Kepa's make-or-break moment is this one. No pressure, right?

Arsenal have submitted about £17m to Espanyol for their Goalkeeper Garcia. He’s likely the replacement for outgoing Aaron Ramsdale.

I think it is a good move. Raya can't be in goal in all competitions this season. A competent 2nd  choice is needed for emergency sake,
Injury, suspension, illness, family emergencies.

Being a second choice does not translate to playing any guaranteed match, but if there is need, Arteta will make available. And of course nobody will expect a highly rated keeper for that role since Arteta’s used to not changing his Goalkeeper, Raya.

They won the Golden Glove award last season because Arteta was bold enough to buy Raya and drop Ramsdale.
If this new goalkeeper will bring more steel and competition for Raya i don't have an issue, especially since it's Arteta requesting for such. I'm not with them in training so maybe he has seen something with Raya we don't know about. If Arteta wants him then I have no issue.
Of course Raya is a good goal keeper, we all saw how he handled things last season. He won the golden gloves in his first season at Arsenal. Every coach will be happy to have such a goal keeper at his disposal. Irrespective of whatever coach that comes in Arteta will keep Raya as his first choice goal keeper. Raya managed to rise to the first choice goal keeper at the expense of Aaron Ramsdale who is considered as one of England best goal keepers currently. Any goalkeeper coming to Arsenal at this point should just be ready to accept the position of a backup goalkeeper. It would have been best if Arsenal had kept Aaron Ramsdale, but a keeper of his capacity won't want to continue being a second choice goalkeeper, I understand his situation very well.

Liverpool buying Federico Chiesa for 10 million seems like a risky transfer, because Chiesa got thru a heavy injury 3 years ago and he is not the player he used to be. He might get injured again. I guess that Arne Slot is signing Chiesa as a substitute player, who will replace other players every now and then. I don't know if Salah is going t leave Liverpool. Maybe he will stay for another season.
Chiesa is a bargain signing of the century. He played 37 times last season, got a lot of goals and assists even when he playing in a bad system of Juventus. But yeah, his injury is the main problem, but if he stays fit this season, we've got a £50m player with only £10m.

Still can't really believe how cheap this deal is. I never expected him to join us with very low price like that. So much potential upside with almost no downside from this signing. I have nothing to complain about with this deal. Really excited to see what he can do back in our attacking side. Excellent signing by Liverpool, congrats

Federico Chiesa could eventually leave Juventus. He has wanted to leave for quite some time but no other club has really made a serious offer apart from Liverpool. Juventus is also reluctant to retain Chiesa due to injury tendencies and the high salaries that must be paid. I think it's a gamble for Liverpool because if that recurring injury comes, then Chiesa will only be a dummy. However, if the injury no longer overshadows him, then it is a big advantage for Liverpool because Chiesa is a potential player and may be able to shine as long as he does not get injured.

Apparently Chesley just wants to reduce their wage bill, and Real are not ready to pay a big salary for a non-main goalkeeper, because now Real have Courtois and reserve Lunin, so Real will quietly do without Kepa. In addition, last season Kepa played only 14 games for Real and it is not very much, considering that at one time Chelsea bought him for 80 million dollars, so apparently Kepa really had no choice and he left where they agreed to pay him a good salary.
Besides, Bournemouth didn't perform so badly last season and this is a serious strengthening for Bournemouth.

Keppa had actually been waiting since the beginning because Lunin was reported to want to leave because he hoped to get more playing minutes, Courtois' return made Lunin have to return to the bench. Now this is where it gets interesting when Lunin wanted to leave, Keppa was willing to be his replacement even as a reserve goalkeeper, but Lunin began to remain silent and retract his statement so that Keppa felt he was given false hope, of course there was no other choice because Lunin decided to stay.

Keppa returned to Chelsea but there he could not be sure of getting clear playing minutes because there were many choices for Maresca to choose from the 8 goalkeepers Chelsea had, the longer Keppa waited for his turn.

If Arsenal succeeds in bringing in Garcia, the situation will be the same as David Raya when he was first brought in. He has to be a little patient waiting, because a typical coach like Arteta will only prioritize players who amaze him, Raya when he was first given the opportunity immediately made Arteta want to get rid of Ramsdale plus his injury is a strong reason Raya is still prioritized. For now Raya is in his best condition as a goalkeeper who is able to perform stunningly but Raya's weakness is his slightly short posture, well, coincidentally  the advantage of being 1.91 m tall, if he is able to maximize his skills and body, it is possible that Arteta will like him.
No doubt Arteta is the type of coach that always prioritize quality players, secondly Arteta have some favorable players but the problem is sometimes switching is also better to try other players. The case with Ramsdale might be different from Garcia, I could remember when last Ramsdale played during championship game against their opponent honestly speaking Ramsdale performed badly so seeing such situation I believe Arteta will not want to make another mistake. Raya is good at what he does and he never stop to amaze everyone currently with his previous game, Garcia is so different but if Garcia can also perform perfect like Raya I see nothing stopping him IMO.

Liverpool will play their next match away to Manchester United, this is a good test for both teams, the hosts started the season worse, and Liverpool have won both matches so far and have not conceded a single goal. What is interesting is that Liverpool plays the second halves much better than the first, perhaps this is such a strategy. I think we can see Chiesa in this match, only somewhere closer to the end, so that he can gradually integrate into the team. I also want to see where Slot will use him, in midfield or in attack.
I don't think they deliberately start worse though, judging from Slot comments these past 2 matches. One of them is because they lose a lot of duels, and so on. So having more options to change things quickly would be better for him. Not sure if Chiesa is going to start that soon, considering he probably needs time to understand how the team is going to play. Not to mention his injury records would probably means Slot and his team needs to prepare a good fitness routine first. But yeah, I'm just talking out of my ass here so who knows. I do agree that it's a good transfer, even if he's not going to play much they can definitely sell him with little to no loss. CMIIW.

I'm not blaming it on Enzo Maresca by the way. I would like to state it firstly. I'm blaming the chairman Todd Boehly for that. Signing talented players is good but you should sell players at the same time not to accumulate too many of them in the squad.  Sad

I would also prefer Osimhen over Toney but there is a huge gap of costs. Therefore Toney looks more reasonable.

Honestly Enzo's attitude towards most of the old players is really not called for, I think this shouldn't come out in the open but he made it public and is an insult to some of the players, let's take the case of Sterling, dropping him for two games and you look at such player who have achieved alot and is dedicated to the Blues and you made him look like an amateur. I don't buy the idea or the way he handled the case of Sterling, in fact all those players he sent off the senior team, like I said it should have been a one on one discussion between players and him the manager.
But on the other side the man Todd Boehly is doing things how he well please because if it was the former owner Roman Abramovich he won't make the club a complicated place for the players by bringing in more players when the ones you have are still wishing to have a playing time, the Bridge is choked with inexperienced players and the owners doesn't care and now they allow the manager to decide for them on who to discard, my question is why rush to get these players in the first place?🤔
Today is Osimhen's final day to decide and like I saw on Supersport news yesterday, Lukaku arrived Italy for the deal to be finalized and I believe the representative of Osimhen is also getting ready to give us their final say, so a yes to this V. Osimhen's deal can be a no to Ivan Toney's move to Chelsea.

I think Liverpool will spend the transfer market this summer without signing a single player, but finally when the transfer market is only a matter of days away they are surprisingly getting closer to getting Chiesa from Juventus, currently Chiesa is at Liverpool and in the near future maybe we will see an official announcement from Liverpool about their new signing, Chiesa has actually made a huge contribution to Juventus so far and he is one of the players who has a high loyalty to the club, but strangely he did not get a place at Juventus after the arrival of Motta as the new coach.

As an attacker who is able to play in various other positions in the attacking line, of course Chiesa arrival to Liverpool will further strengthen their current attacking line but I think there is a difficult choice for Arne Slot to choose between Luis diaz, Chiesa, Salah or Jota later because indeed the three players are players who have quality and also sharpness that is quite good in scoring goals,  Chiesa, who has a market value of around $36 million Euros, is currently being acquired by Liverpool at a very cheap price of 13 million Euros and will reportedly sign a contract for 4 seasons.

Slot won't have to choose between Diaz and Chiesa because they play on different flanks. I think Chiesa is a very good flank reinforcement for Liverpool and you are right when you talk about Chiesa's value, in my opinion this player is worth more than Liverpool paid for him.

Liverpool will play their next match away to Manchester United, this is a good test for both teams, the hosts started the season worse, and Liverpool have won both matches so far and have not conceded a single goal. This is a natural thing for a player, especially since the competition in the goalkeeper position is very tight, because when a club already has a main goalkeeper, they will continue to use him, unless the goalkeeper is injured or is an old goalkeeper. So Kepa must be open-minded by accepting that he can no longer be with a big club and must join an ordinary club.
Kepa is currently 29 years old, if he can play very well with his new club, then it is not impossible that he will also be glanced at by big clubs. The opportunity is still there for him, as long as he can play very well. Now almost all clubs already have main goalkeepers, so he has to be a little patient.

According to my understanding, Enzo Maresca is just trying to offload all Chelsea former players to start using all the players he signed which is why he is making such moves, and the new owners wants quick change in the club which is why they are spending such money in the transfer window.
I hope they don’t get into financial troubles because the way they are signing players is much and I am sure they will add one striker before the end of the transfer window.

I will like Chelsea to sign Osimhen instead of Ivan Toney because Osimhen will be a better nine that will fit Chelsea’s style of play than Ivan Toney, and even though Ivan Toney already have Premier League experience, he lost form last season which was why Ole Watkins of Aston Villa outshined him among the strikers in the EPL last season.

I'm not blaming it on Enzo Maresca by the way. I would like to state it firstly. I'm blaming the chairman Todd Boehly for that. Signing talented players is good but you should sell players at the same time not to accumulate too many of them in the squad.  Sad

Chelsea is trying to flip the player for profit. They try to do that by recruiting as many talents as possible. Then, they hope 2-3 of them reach world-class potential. They plan to sell these fully developed goal keepers that successfully reach world-class potential to recover their investments.

If they sign too many players then it will make things really difficult financially. It is harder to make profit like that. Big teams usually focus on signing special talents. They don't sign 40 players for no reason.  Grin

On the other hand, I think the opposite is true, Cancelo still has a chance to return to Europe considering that his quality is still the same as when he defended Manchester City or Barcelona and his move may only be to temporarily calm the atmosphere regarding his unclear future this season. Cancelo certainly doesn't think too much even though he lowers his level for a while so he can continue playing on the field and of course the salary there is much more enjoyable.
It may seem as a suprise to most people but I'm not really suprised he chose to move over to Al-Hilal, he's 30 years and most players around that age bracket currently see the Arab League as a retirement plan moreover which player at that age bracket won't be convinced by the offer coming from those Arab clubs, well their are some players with the talent as he's who would still want to enjoy playing in top European League and participate in several big competitions but I think things changed cause majority of them are now considering the huge salary and the fact that they'll still get playing time is enough to give them a second thought. I expected Joao Cancelo to be signed permanently by Barcelona or secure a deal with another big European team cause I watched him play in the Euros and he was so fantastic to watch. Well, like you said, the salary would be enjoyable and it's enough to make him remain in that league and I doubt if he'll return back to Europe but on a second thought, he should based on his skills and some big teams should be going after him after he puts on up a show at Al-Hilal this season.
Actually Joao Cancelo decision to go to the Saudi Arabian League is already gambling with his own fate and putting everything that smells of Europe. The point is, even though he has the opportunity to return, the salary there is more than enough, 30 years old with a salary that is not small and there are still many facilities that he can enjoy outside of his salary. I still remember that not all European players are comfortable with Saudi Arabian culture, I hope Cancelo decision has been considered well. Once he has taken the step, the chance of returning to Europe is very small.
For this summer Joao Cancelo future is very uncertain because he is not including Guardiola plan for this season for Manchester City and besides that i have seen not much clubs who showing their interest to him so that's why i think moved to Al Hilal and playing at Saudi Pro League is good for his career because at least Joao Cancelo can return to playing regularly and indeed for some players Saudi Pro League is hard league even the players such as Benzema or Henderson has been failed to adapt

Joao Cancelo actually want to moved to Barcelona but because Barcelona has financial condition then they have no money to permanent his status and at Al Hilal he has signing 3 years contract with 17 million annual salary which this is good amount and according to the schedules he will makes his debut match with Al Hilal against Al-Riyadh on September 15

Chiesa to Liverpool isn't really that small business or news, it's a big deal and I think it is going to be quite important for Liverpool, to get someone so good for such a cheap price. I think the fact that Chiesa wanted to leave played a big role on this and I feel like he forced their hand to sell him, which made his price drop, because I believe that he is at least a 30-40 million player without a doubt, not someone who should be sold for 15 million.

Liverpool definitely has a good squad now and Arne Slot is making them play very well too, there is a chance that they could once again fight for a title, doesn't mean that they will win it, just means that they could be somewhere around the top and could get a good result.

With this at least Kepa will be Bournemouth's main mainstay for the goalkeeper position and that will help Bournemouth secure their goal from conceding many goals, especially if we remember Kepa is one of the goalkeepers with good reflexes.
