Finally, Haaland signed on and officially became a Manchester City player. The contract will be for 5 years. There was a 75 million Euro release clause in his contract with Dortmund, and Manchester City used this to end the transfer. I think they bought one of the best strikers for very cheap price. That was the missing piece for Manchester City and they are much stronger now. Now the goal should be to win the Champions League.

I am pretty sure the deal will be done and officially announced within the next two weeks.

I heard the news Liverpool have agreed for the transfer of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez. I think Klopp favor this striker will be an ideal substitution of Mane. Mane, Salah and Firminho were brilliant however presently in their 30s so now is the ideal time to blood in their new generation. What I'll say a well prepared for coming season. One more innovative midfielder will be perfect. I'm almost certain club manager is planning about that.

I suppose if the player isn't going to command much of a fee though, why not just keep them until their contract expires? They leave for free, but you get another year's worth of performance out of them.

I think Liverpool will still want a large fee, and securing Nunez actually strengthens their hand against Bayern. They know that Bayern are desperate for a striker with Lewandowski leaving, whereas Liverpool, having already secured Nunez, no longer have that same desperation.

Very good news for Liverpool. A club that knows what they want or what they are lacking will go for it. Manchester City brought Erling Haaland to Etihad because they needed him. Liverpool is on it with Darwin because they needed him. With Darwin, they can play Diaz by left, Darwin at the centre and Mo Salah by the right and the team is balanced.
This is a very clear indication that Manchester City and Liverpool will continue to dominate the league.
