In another news, it seems like Arsenal are in pole position for Dusan Vlahovic at the moment as reported by David Ornstein. They are the one with best fee and best salary offered to the Fiorentina's striker so it seems like Arsenal wants to give him or the team no reason to deny due to disagreement in financial aspect. I am happy with the transfer target and the way Arsenal are proceeding in this. Still at any point other big team might hijack this but as of none have laid eyes on him yet.

Congratulations to Aston Villa for being able to sign Barcelona player Philippe Coutinho on loan. They signed him on loan with an option to buy. In this transfer, Steven Gerrard was a really big factor of course. They know each other closely considering their history at Liverpool. I think that this is a good signing for Aston Villa. I know that Coutinho couldn't show his talent much at Barcelona. But he was really great when he was in the Premier League. I hope to see him performing well again.

It's quite disgusting to see Aston Villa's success in getting countinho now, actually I really hope that coutinho can become an arsenal player this season, especially so far arsenal has been constantly linked with coutinho in the transfer market, besides that I am quite surprised what is the reason for barcelona rejecting the offer from arsenal to borrow coutinho, maybe previously,  I understood that the reason barcelona wanted to sell coutinho permanently and that's why arsenal offer was rejected, but when I read that aston villa reached an agreement with barcelona, it made me start to think why aston villa could get coutinho on loan, whereas barcelona reject arsenal who first want to borrow coutinho? Huh

I totally agree here. Coutinho was one of the best players in the world back in 2013 to 2018 when he played for liverpool. As you already said it sadly did not work out for him at Barcelona for whatever reason but even at his short stay at Bayern Munich 2 years ago he showed that he is still able to show great performances. It was also a very important transfer for FC Barcelona. I read today that only because of this transfer of Coutinho they were able to register Ferran Torres as their new player at the spanish league, because they have so much debts. So this is a transfer where every party involved seemed to have benefited as it should be.

The tactics and role that are provided to a player is different from team to team and I think the role which was provided to him at Barca didn't worked for him. I think it is a good signing and certainly will boost the midfield area for Aston Villa. Right now Buendia is not working much for them and having Cotuinho in midfield should give them a boost they needy right now. Comes down to what role has Gerrard for him..

I think nothing is impossible with newcastle nowadays especially with their money power now Cheesy
They're going to spend big and they could just reshuffle the current team.
they need some quality defenders and good midfielders at the moment because indeed their midfield and back are now very lacking in creativity and their defense is now the worst defense with 42 goals conceded.

Even though they had a lot of money to make a complete team change, what would be a problem for them to recruit top tier players was their current position. Money would be worthless if they were in the red zone. Maybe, they will be easy to bring in top tier players if they are at least in the middle of the standings. According to rumors, New Castle will make an offer for Sevilla player Diego Carlos, reportedly New Castle will make a bid of 40 million pounds. We'll see, can money do something for this player?
Everything is possible with the money, current transfer and looks surprise when Insigne have get agreement with Toronto FC as MLS team and I think he has top performance right now and still on the gold age but money change everything. He got higher salary on Toronto and make him will play on MLS for five years later. I think his chance back to world cup will be asking, MLS is not competitive league and keep playing there will not get chance to play for Italy.

We can say that Newcastle United started transferring with Trippier.  I really expect very sensational transfers from Newcastle United.  They are in the relegation zone.  They will want to strengthen the defense to avoid relegation.  They will get a few more quality offensive players.  However, I think the main transfers will be in the summer season.  We can watch bomb transfers in this transfer season, which started with Trippier.

The transfer of Kieran Triplier seems to have been completed already, from Athletico Madrid to Newcastle.
Term also been agreed between the coutinho and Aston Villa, there seems to be an organic feeling between the in going player and coach.
Confirmed Kieran Trippier is officially a Newcastle player and has been unveiled by the club the deal is through 2023-24 season, of course Kieran Trippier is not a new comer in EPL, he formerly played for Tottenham, I hope with his quality and wealth of experience he will surely help the Toons to escape relegation, the club being the richest now will obviously use this January transfer window to buy some quality players, the club will lure some of these players with juicy offers which can't be rejected, I am sure Kieran Trippier was offered a good pay.

According to reports,Arsenal are on the verge of loosing their forward Aubameyang after the Gaboneese international breach a disciplinary rule set by Arsenal and their coach Mikel Arteta.

And reports have said that Newcastle United are on the look out for a good striker, and have  identified the former Arsenal captain as their major priority in this January transfer market.
What I don't understand about Arsenal is that Aubameyang was once their most praised player and from nowhere he is now perceived to be the bad guy which is unfair to the player. His current behavior might have been triggered by some kind of misunderstanding 2ith management which they should sort out behind the scenes otherwise this will be a big lose for them and a gain for Newcastle should he move there.

According to the official statement of the club, it appears clear that it was not the one incident that led to the disciplinary action, but rather the repeated violations. During the past year, multiple incidents involving Aubameyang and Arsenal have been reported in the media. It is apparent that Auba is prone to breaches of the club's rules and protocols, so I don't believe there is misunderstanding between management and the player.

Arsenal were very intent on selling Aubameyang even before the disciplinary breach occurred, because in the last 2 seasons Aubameyang performance has been inconsistent, but with a foul made by Aubameyang, of course, Arteta is quite fed up with his behavior so far.
Currently, there are several clubs that really want to buy Aubameyang, such as Newcastle and Barcelona.

Arsenal, who played very well without Aubameyang's presence, of course made Arsenal more confident to sell Aubameyang this month. I also
see Aubameyang's form has continued to decline since extending his contract with Arsenal. Moreover, Aubameyang is known to have committed
several disciplinary violations. So there really is no reason for Arsenal to keep Aubameyang, several clubs that are interested in Aubameyang
I think Newcastle is the most serious. But it looks like Newcastle don't want to buy Aubameyang right away, but will loan Aubameyang first until
the end of the season, after which there is a clause for a permanent transfer. I think it's better for Arsenal to accept Newcastle's offer than
to let Aubameyang not play and continue to receive wages. I remember what happened with Ozil, it seems that what happened with Aubameyang is
indeed similar to what happened with Ozil.
It's true, even without Aubameyang, Arsenal can still perform quite well this season, since Aubameyang was left out after the match against Everton, Arsenal actually showed a pretty good performance in their match, From their last 5 matches, Arsenal managed to get 4 wins, 1 defeat and managed scored 15 goals and only conceded 2 goals in the league, this proves that Arsenal's front line is still quite sharp even though Aubameyang is not playing.
Newcastle previously intended to buy Aubameyang, but the main problem now is that Aubameyang is playing in the African Cup, and of course makes Newcastle think twice about signing him because they really need a striker who can plays immediately this season.

Vlahovic would definitely be a good addition to the team. Arsenal need a solid striker so bad. Aubameyang is out of the lineup from now on and he will leave the team this month most likely. And Lacazette also isn't showing an impressive performance anymore. Considering all of these reasons, it is obvious that they need a big or talented striker to play bigger in every tournament. Hopefully, Arsenal can succeed in this deal.
I don’t mean no disrespect but I have never been a fan of a left footed striker. Since the departure of Robin Van persie, all the other left footed strikers didn’t really do what we expected. They are only good as Center forward like Lukaku and Giroud. We want a player like Alexander Lacazette, a striker that can come through the midfield and play from the midfield and link all play with the whole team when transitioning. Therefore I would prefer we sign Alexander Isak or other EPL proven strikers. Besides Dusan Vlahovic is looking for a more ambitious project than what have. I don't think Arsenal should try to sign a player whose entourage thinks that our project is not good enough for them.

Digne wants Chelsea move
Journalist Dean Jones, meanwhile, has revealed that Lucas Digne’s ideal destination in January is Chelsea.

The Everton full-back has fallen out with Rafa Benitez and is expected to leave Goodison Park this month.

West Ham and Newcastle have also been linked, although the Frenchman (perhaps understandably) favours a move to Stamford Bridge.
https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/pl-transfer-news-live-today-arsenal-chelsea-fc-tottenham-man-utd-liverpool-gossip-rumours-lewandowski-julian-alvarez-pickford-lamptey-b975164.html

This will be a good move for Lucas Digne, if this works you'll see Lukaku scoring more from crosses....like I get scared of his that.
Always accurate, joins attacks and defending is high from the former Barcelona defender.
