I am not surprised at all, that we will probably not see a big transfer in the winter and there are several reasons for that. Contracts expire after the season in July or August and therefore every club that wants to sign a player that has a contract that only runs for 6 more months will just wait until the player is free and therefore no transfer fee is needed anymore. In addition to that players that are bought in the winter are not allowed to play in the european cups if they have already played for another club in that same season and you also just have not as much time to integrate the new player into the team and the system in the winter.

There are many reports about tension between him and the PSG board about the contract extension and rumours about Real Madrid and Mbappe talks so I would say should have inclined towards Real Madrid or rather 50-50 b/w stay at PSG and move to Madrid. Acquisition of Alvaro Morato, in my opinion, will be risky. Now juventus anda newcastle have entered the hunt for ousmane dembele, the negotiations that took place between dembele and barcelona have reached a dead end and now it is certain that dembele will leave barcelona after dembele request for a salary increase was rejected by barcelona, in my opinion it is better for barcelona to letf dembele now, because apart from the declining performance of course the arrival of ferran torres can at least replace dembele position and with that at least barcelona has eased a bit of the burden related to dembele sizable salary.

Yeah, some countries forbid that players with ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator - a thing that gets your heart up to rhythm in case it stops) play professional sports - Italy is one of them. However, Daley Blind has one and is normally playing for Ajax in Netherlands.

The thing is that it's much easier to give player a playing licence if you find that problem during a regular medical check than after he collapses on the pitch and nearly dies.
