How would Barcelona pay for any of these players? They already extended Fati's and Pedri's contracts and we're talking about players that wouldn't be cheap. They could not get Wijnaldum on a free transfer 2 months ago, now we're talking about buying Sterling and bringing Messi back?

For Barcelona it would be better to keep a low profile and quickly kill off stories like these. Xavi will have a tough job by itself, with these kind of stories it will be an impossible one.
They cant without taking more loans the finances of Barcelona are probably the worst in the world. I do not expect them to sign anyone high profile for a long time. I think this season and next season they are going to lose a lot of players in the transfer windows. They cannot afford the players that currently play for them. Barcelona are not going to recover financially for a long time I think it will be 10+ years.

^^ I think instead of buying expensive players Barcelona should save money right now because they don't have enough money. If I remember correctly a few days ago Barcelona was afraid of setting their own manager because they have to give him the contracted money and now they are talking about buying quality players and expensive players. I think ok I should fix the money problem first before buying any players.
this is a policy that must be taken.
rather than they continue to add players by pouring out a lot of funds, it would be wiser for them to hold on and save their current finances because their crisis is very severe and on the verge of bankruptcy.
it would be very unwise to force them to add players hoping to make them feel like they were in the past when their players and their performances were good.
Barcelona today is not Barcelona a few years ago, they have to be careful with that.

I can feel Mino Raiola's handwriting

This can be also only clickbaiting.

Raiola already said the past year "Paul will leave Manchester".

I think there is no chance he will stay with Red Devils.

^^ Well yeah it would have been great if he would have accepted it with some little more time with Rangers but well he has now accepted the job and is officially the new manager of Aston Villa. Guess he desparately wanted to get back to England and take over some tier 1 English team.

Let's see how he manages Aston Villa now.
Aston Villa signed steven gerrard on a three and a half year contract until June 2025 and of course it will be an amazing experience for us to see the liverpool legend again in the premier league, so far he continues to be rumored to be the newcastle coach but in the end aston villa who managed to bring him back to the premier league, steve gerrard's journey with the ranger is certainly very extraordinary in my opinion because they were able to destroy the domination of celtic so far in the scottish league, but even so the english league is not an easy league and of course it will require hard work and a lot of time for steven gerrard to improve the performance of aston villa today.

This is one of the most shocking news for me to date. I did hear that Gerrard was interested in Aston Villa but didn't think that this rumor was really happening and Gerrard accepted this.
this will certainly be a hot spotlight for a while considering gerrard is considered a liverpool legend and of course the fans from liverpool will be very angry about this.
I'm actually not too focused on Astonvilla but for now I will follow its development because it will be very exciting I think.

I can feel Mino Raiola's handwriting Wink I would be very surprised that such an agent would require the least salary for his ward, and even deprived himself in terms of finances Grin Another question is whether the management of Manchester United agrees to such conditions. The series with the extension of Pogba continues and every week there are new rumors, because just a week ago it was said that Pogba could not agree with his current club and wanted to return to Juventus and sign a three-year contract, even with a salary reduction. I think it's all agency games and stuffing information into the press in order to put pressure on the management of the club.

Ronaldo, for sure, Pogba, nah. Don't get me wrong, I was in awe at him while he was at Juventus, but he's been slowly regressing at United, doesn't deserve a new contract (and if he did they'll keep playing him out of position and in a shitty formation).

As a neutral who wants to see him back at his best, I'd love for him to return to the Old Lady.

According to Marca, Barcelona are in pursuit of Manchester United winger Raheem Sterling, their striker Cavani and Chelsea striker Timo Werner. These are all very good targets for Barcelona. I already know of their interest in Sterling but Cavani and Werner targets are new to me. But I also remember that Barcelona have been in a financial trouble for a long time. And I suppose they are still not in a very good financial condition. So, I wonder how they will make all of these transfers in January.

Sterling has long been linked with Barcelona but so far that interest is just rumours. However, the existence of Xavi as a coach opened up opportunities to get the winger's signature. Guardiola reportedly agrees with Barcelona's interest in Sterling as he may not be included in the team's priorities this season at Manchester City. If Sterling can join Barcelona then it will be great considering he is a player who has the ability to be considered filling the Barcelona lineup.

According to L'Equipe, Paul Pogba is leaning towards signing a new deal with Manchester United and extending his contract. But it is claimed that he wants a salary that is worth more than Ronaldo's.
He doesn't leave Man United? Lol.
I suspect he stated to leave Man United in order to get a bigger salary. I think Pogba doesn't need to ask for a bigger salary than Ronaldo has. It is very reasonable if Ronaldo has a bigger salary because of his capacity. Paul Pogba is better to show to the team his best performance in this season firstly, before asking for a bigger salary. I think it is not the right time to ask for a bigger salary.

from the start when he refused a contract extension it was the reason like this and it seemed that he was serious about what he said.
it is not wrong to ask the club for a high salary but this must be accompanied by an impressive performance.
and when i see now with pogba's performance which tends to be monotonous i think he wants to try to be sterling in the city Cheesy

I'm surprised by Gerrard's appointment as Aston Villa coach as I haven't heard many rumors about him in the last month "probably because I'm not an Aston Villa fan". His experience in the Premier League as a player in the past will probably help him a lot to improve the performance of Aston Villa because I believe he knows a lot about the character of the team that will be faced in the Premier League.

I think Pogba is not serious in asking for higher salary, maybe it is just a trick so he can go out from United if United is unable to fulfill what he is asking for.
As what I can see, he is not really enjoying his career in Manchester since last year unlike when he was in Juventus where his position cant be replaced by other player.
Maybe next transfer window is the right time for him to leave and find new challenge in other league.

Former Rangers manager Steven Gerrard will be the new manager of Aston Villa. We're glad he's back on the touchline in a much bigger league. It worries me that he will be sacked if he doesn't produce immediate results. However, he was comfortable at his previous club. New challenges are always necessary.

Having new challenges is always fun. Nevertheless, it's a gradual process and not a climb up the ladder. I can't wait to return to Anfield as Villa manager!

It was the correct time for him to move; he gained the required experience at Rangers to establish himself in the league, and starting with Aston Villa with less pressure will give him more confidence rather than rushing to bigger clubs with higher expectations. Given the caliber of players at Aston Villa, I anticipate him to do well.

Edit:  Oh and btw..  Frank Lampard is the favorite to be the next Norwich manager.  Lololol.  Cheesy
It's funny how the media painted Lampard as a horrible coach, ignoring the reality that he led Derby County to the playoff final, booked Chelsea a place in the Champions League, and went undefeated in the group stage, demonstrating his abilities. Norwich will benefit more from his experience

This whole thing boils down to the fact that he wants to manage Liverpool, if he does well at Aston Villa, that could happen when Klopp goes. And having a successful playing career is no guarantee that can happen as a manager as has been proven many times before.  He should just use the new players Dean signed and try out something new. He should be able to figure out what went wrong in the team that stopped them from performing. He have got a leader in Tyrone Mings, Danny Ings and Emiliano Martinez. He is a new manager despite his time at Rangers. Aston Villa owners should him time, don't get on his back because he doesn't beat everyone before Christmas. He'll be great, but he needs time.

Life, Love and Laughter...
There are reports coming out that after Dean Smith getting sacked Aston Villa is close to make Steven Gerrard their next manager. Most of us know how well Steven Gerrard managed Rangers and holded a dominant result throughout the league with Rangers. I think getting Steven Gerrard for the job is a great target and surely with the squad they currently right now, they can bounce back if they get an experienced manager.
Honestly Steven Gerrard should not even consider this appointment. Like he has a perfectly good job, with the chance of silverware and European football to to win. Why trying to waste all that for this Aston Villa Job with no European cup games and with little chance of competing with the top 6, let alone the top 4. They had a perfectly good manager, that the team looked like they were playing for. I think Gerrard wants the Liverpool job, don't he think this Aston Villa job is a gamble to wrecking his chances of managing Liverpool, I would rather advise he stays at Rangers, then take over at Liverpool, him and Klopp have contracts ending the same time. Hope Gerrard stays put.

Baby steps...  The EPL is the most competitive league in Europe, esp now with the top clubs hiring top managers and the not so top managers having the ability to out fox even the top clubs.  It won’t be instant success like how Xavi will look like at Barca..  At least that’s how I see it with Xavi since La Liga isn’t really that tough, tho it has been a little competitive as of late.

Edit:  Oh and btw..  Frank Lampard is the favorite to be the next Norwich manager.  Lololol.  Cheesy

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/nov/07/solskjr-expects-to-be-in-charge-for-manchester-uniteds-trip-to-watford

According to the news, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still expecting to be the Manchester United manager in their next Premier League game against Watford. There is an international break right now and I think that there is more than enough time for the Manchester United board to search for a new manager and make their final decision.

Well atleast Ole could bag another 3 points against Watford. There is no way that he is going to lose against Watford. Losing against Manchester City and Liverpool is lame but if he lose to Watford then that is completely out of the line.

We all know for sure that Zidane is not really going to take over Ole so it would be great to see which coach will eventually take this position. There is a high expectation for whoever took over this job that is going to put up alot of pressure

We don't know if the main problem of the team is the management. But I don't like Solskjaer's managing style and there are so many people who would agree with me.

I would love to give some chances to Ole because he was pretty bad as well last season but Manchester United ended up as 2nd in the end but it seems some players might not even want him as their coach anymore so it will be just matter of time for him to be sacked or replaced somehow. Even if he do make it atleast until the boxing day then Im pretty sure Management board would appoint someone new eventually

I wouldn't like to say this but I will say it. I'm hoping them to lose points in that game if Manchester United still insist on not sending him away from the team. If he gets another loss of points in this game, this would definitely be the end of him. But I feel like they will get a win again in his, most probably, last chance like they did in the Tottenham game. But they can't maintain a good season like this. They need to make their final decision now in my opinion.
