As Manchester United manager Solskjaer's place is on the rocks, there are some speculations about a probable new manager for them. And the biggest candidate seems like Antonio Conte. Now, Conte has no club to manage. His last team were Inter and he had a great season with them. They managed to become the champions in the Serie A. I wonder whether he can be successful at Manchester United.

Everton set sights on signing Lingard in January as plan revealed to evade FFP
Everton have set their sights on a January deal for Man United star Jesse Lingard in January, Football Insider has learned.
The Merseysiders will be in the market for an attacking midfielder capable of scoring goals and slotting straight into Rafael Benitez’s side.
An Everton source has told Football Insider that Lingard is on the club’s target list and Benitez is a big admirer of him.
The Merseysiders are planning to explore a loan-to-buy deal in which Lingard joins on an initial loan that is converted into a permanent deal at the end of the season.
Everton are targeting Lingard as they look to secure a replacement for Gylfi Sigurdsson, who will be let go at the end of the season.

Good for Everton and that would really improve their squad. Lingard has improved a lot over the last year and he contributed in so many goals for West Ham last season. Manchester United should really give him some good chances to prove himself again. They are just letting him rot on the bench, it's such a waste of talent. I really wonder why West Ham didn't tried getting him on permanent deal. He adjusted in Hammers quite well.

Lingard has been really good in the last few seasons. Now that he's back at Utd, he's not getting the minutes he used to get before. He was a regular starter 2 seasons back but now with the addition of Sancho, Bruno he's hardly getting the minutes. So a loan-to-buy deal would be a good option for Everton as they'll have a season to see how he performs. He performs well with them then they can consider buying him.

Manchester City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Newcastle are all interested in France winger Ousmane Dembele, 24, who is likely to leave Barcelona next summer. Everyone wants Dembele but what he will decide in the end?

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/59013142
Barcelona is still trying to renew the contract with Dembele, however it's his agent who is delaying the renovation, because from january 1 on he will be free to negotiate with another teams. By doing this, Dembele can receive better paying offers from another clubs, as Barcelona is also trying to decrease his wealthy wage for the next contract.

The main speculation I've seen is that Newcastle is a potential destiny for Dembele, as his agent has already made some contacts with the club regards this matter and also because Newcastle has very propitious financial conditions right now to afford a player like him much more than Barcelona which is suffering serious financial difficulties.

Transfer rumours:

Former Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte would be "interested" in taking over at Manchester United if the Premier League club sack manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. I'm personally surprised that Solskjaer is still the coach of Manchester United because his results are very bad. Conte seems like a good choice for their new coach.
Former Roma boss Paulo Fonseca, 48, is set to be appointed Newcastle manager after ex-Chelsea boss Frank Lampard pulled out of the running to replace Steve Bruce at St James' Park. Is this story over now or are some last minute surprises still possible?
Manchester United and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 36, was "spoilt" and "broke equality and humility rules" at his former club Juventus. What then can we expect from Ronaldo in Manchester now?  Grin
Former Spain midfielder Xavi, who is boss of Al Sadd in Qatar, says he previously rejected taking over as manager of former club Barcelona as he had "only been a coach for three months" but now feels "ready to coach any team in the world". Does that Xavi send a very subtle message to the Barcelona management?  Cheesy

Next summer, FC Barcelona will compete with Madrid for the signing of Kylian Mbappé.
I doubt if Barcelona is serious to compete with Real Madrid to sign an expensive player like Mbappe? Has Barcelona fixed its financial crisis? I am not sure this financial crisis to end very soon. Barcelona is also probably to have a bit problem with Mbappe's salary once he really joins Barcelona. I don't think Mbappe wants a small salary there, he must ask for a big salary. On the other hand, I never hear that Mbappe ever said he has a dream to move to Barcelona. He even prefers to move to Real Madrid if he wants to leave PSG.

He was a Real Madrid fan, where do you think he goes if both will ask to him to join?
Are you sure he is a Real Madrid fan?
What I see, he is a CR7 (Ronaldo) fan.  Grin

Looking at that picture shows how young Kylian Mbape is,but time and destiny has made him mingle and play alongside those players of his dream.Time is a virtue,it only took time for him to play with them.

Whether he is a Madrid fan,or Christiano Ronaldo fan,all I see is destiny, fate and grace that has made him being seen as one of the best in Europe now.It shows that what ever you imagine to do or be,in as much as the determination is there, and you work towards it,fate will take you there.

It doesn't make sense if it's true that Barcelona want to bring in Mbappe, until now Barcelona is still experiencing a financial crisis.
Therefore they have to lower the salaries of some of their players, it is impossible if they want to bring in Mbappe who definitely wants a high salary.
The possibility of Mbappe moving to Real Madrid is much greater, it's true I've never heard Mbappe say he wants to move to Barcelona.
After all I believe Mbappe is a Real Madrid fan, but for a football player Mbappe is a Ronaldo fan.

Barcelona moving for Kylian Mbappe is not a bad move but not likely to happen....too broke, having players that plays almost as he does, lastly this are speculations so as to keep Real Madrid off him.
Who doesn't want such a great player, the future of a club seems bright with Mbappe, score goals, and very pacy,he needs to be around he's kind of players so to grab the Champions League of which I believe should be he's main reason for wanting a move out.
Real Madrid is all I feel is best for him,he deserves to be a part of Los blancos side.

Next summer, FC Barcelona will compete with Madrid for the signing of Kylian Mbappé. Following the report, Barcelona are willing to pay €90m for the signing of the player. Barcelona could barely fire Koeman, but how could they afford Mbappe? The club wants to sign anything living. It is very likely they will abandon this race very soon. BTW! The decision about Mbappe's impending move has been made already - he knows where he will land next year.
It would be interesting to know which newspaper or TV Station reported this news because, at least in my opinion, it is 100% clear that this news is totally made up and has zero value. As you already said, Barcelona is pretty much broke and could not make messi stay even though he did not want to leave the Club and now they should suddenly be able to pay a transfer fee of 90M€ or more for mbappe plus his salary? That is just not possible. The only Clubs that could really afford mbappe are the english ones because of the high TV contract and maybe bayern munich.
I don't think Bayern Munich will seriously consider such a transfer, given the current philosophy of the club's business, given what amounts appear and what circumstances preceded the transfer and what event background is taking place at this time. As for Barcelona's participation in the fight for Mbappe, everything looks even more doubtful here, given Mbappe's attitude towards Real Madrid and the complex relationship between these two clubs. Therefore, if these rumors are true, then all Barcelona's participation may come down to a little annoyance to their sworn friends from Madrid and just once again remind them of their existence. The participation of English clubs in the process is much more likely, given the level and ambitions of the participants of the English Premier League.

So, despite the complicated financial situation, the media does not stop talking about Barcelona and Mbappé.
It's a lot of noise being made for nothing... today I read that they are willing to invest 90 million euros for the player, is it? But they have a debt of 1.3 billion euros, how are they going to manage to make such a high investment for a single player? I don't know... but something they must do.

Pep is very keen on keeping his strategy and maintaining it throughout the season. But I personally feel like Sterling is a better player than Grealish.
Grealish hasn't been playing so well since he joined City from Aston Villa, he is too slow on the ball, he is not really dangerous to opposition defenders as he just holds on to the ball without really threatening, I actually had the impression that Grealish's buy was unnecessary, and it's slowly turning out to be; I believe Pep is just giving him the benefit of the doubt for the meantime and pushing him on to improve. Having said that, comparing him with Sterling at the moment, I think Jack Grealish is just slightly better, Sterling has been pretty bad in the last couple of months, he has had zero confidence when on the ball, and has lacked composure when facing the goalkeeper, etc, Pep gave him time to improve, but that wasn't forthcoming, for now Sterling has obviously lost his spot in the team and he must either leave or improve, it's up to him.

That is my opinion as well about Grealish as well. However, you say that Sterling has been pretty bad in the last couple of months. He played pretty well at the European Championship and I didn't follow that many games of Man City afterwards. I really thought he would be able to take a good portion of confidence with him and he definitely was a dangerous player at the European Championship. His dribbling abilities and speed in 1 vs 1 is certainly stronger than Grealish's, isn't it? To me it also feels like Grealish often slows the game down by a lot, or let's say at least more than Pep would like to see.

With the ridiculous Haaland fees and wages it's very impossible to afford him except maybe Newcastle United with higher budget. Barcelona is in great debt and with the new Lialiga salary percentage limit they can not register anymore players except they sell two top players in other to have space to accommodate Haaland
I would say that Bayern is not a bad move for Haaland, he would be in the league he knows, he would replace aging Lewandowski, and they would still be good enough to fight for a champions league title with that club as well. So that is not really a bad move at all, it would really be a good transfer move. However I believe that all teams at the top could "afford" him, in the sense that they could at least offer him what he wants, at the end of the day these clubs do have the money, but end up getting into debt when they make these kinds of moves.

Any team that doesn't care about the high fee and the debt, will get him, and hope that they will end up winning UCL so they could keep paying him, or just be in debt and turn out to be like Barcelona in few years when there is no success. Like if you are in premier league, and you believe you can win the league, and fa cup, and ucl all in the same season, then Haaland payment will be very easy for you, but if you win nothing? Then you will be in big debt.

As I wrote earlier, with a player's value of 200 ++ million euros, a one-time payment of 45 million to get it for free looks like nonsense. And so Barcelona is doubling that amount. Well, the race has begun. But I must note that the clubs have started a very dangerous game - having seen such offers, the rest of the star players will also want a serious (multiple) increase in income. It's easy to predict what this will lead to - another profitability crisis.
That is true. This phenomenon started after Gareth Bale and Neymar were bought by Real and Barcelona for $100M and $220M respectively. Now every average player even has the price tag of $100M which was rare even 5 years back. And these negotiations for Mbappe and Haaland will be so pricey that even average players would demand a higher salary, these all work like a chain.

Next summer on the transfer market will be really hot, I'm even afraid to predict what the total amount of money will be paid during all these star transfers. I wonder if club revenues are growing at the same rate as spending on players? From the outside it seems that not, but they cannot stop, because if competitors are allowed to overtake themselves, then incomes will begin to fall (due to the deterioration of sports performance).

He was a Real Madrid fan, where do you think he goes if both will ask to him to join?

I don’t really follow the Serie A but something I’d like to ask you guys who do...  Was Paulo Fonseca any good as a manager at Roma?  I’ll be honest, I don’t know anything about him at all although I heard his name mentioned sparingly here and there.

He’s the favorite to get the Newcastle job:  https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/newcastle/next-permanent-manager

It is clear that Mbappe is going to Madrid (couldn't think of any other club linked to him right now). I understand news of Barcelona coming in between Madrid an Mbappe transfer but I hardly think it would happen. Barca is not that broke IMO. In last transfer window, just near the last day there were strong reports of them making a bid around 70-80 mil mark for Leipzig winger Dani Olmo.
Mbappe will be linked to all major clubs in next couple months. It is not often that we have a superstar, who is also very young, nearing the end of the contract. Every major club will try to feel the player but I am thinking Real is only real possibility apart from staying in PSG. Mbappe already said that he would like to continue his career there and knowing Perez he already agreed something with the player. Other clubs will only send offers as way to make Real pay more, if you are Barca it is better for you to raise Mbappe appetites and make Real spend more Smiley

Two things over here.
First Barca is so broke that they cannot even afford the sacking of their manager, then how can they afford to sign Mbappe for €90 million and on top of that pay his humongous salary?
Secondly, Real already bid €180 million for him last transfer window only to be rejected, so what makes the reporter think that they'll accept their half the bid of that of Real Madrid?

Chelsea is preparing a lucrative offer for Real Madrid on the transfer of defender Ferlan Mendy, according to El Nacional.
According to the source, the London team is ready to pay "creamy" 60 million euros. It is reported that the deal could go through as early as 2022.
Recall that the current contract between Mendy and Real Madrid is calculated until June 2025, and the player is estimated at 50 million euros.
True, Ferlan is also interesting to Juventus of Turin, so Chelsea will have to try to sign the Frenchman.
