Im pretty sure it was a joke unless you can show some official source about it.
Yes, I think so. There is no official source, which means it is still a rumor. Signing Mbappe and Modric seems not a realistic target, these two players are happy to play in their current teams. For Modric, he probably will consider not move and want to end his career in Real Madrid.

Im sure some top players might even feel a bit reluctant to move to 'Newcastle' ( get what Im saying? )
Each player has their own dream, some don't move because of money only. For example like Mbappe, I think if he wants to move to another team, he only wants to move to Real Madrid. Joining Real Madrid is Mbappe's dream since he was a child. Real Madrid also must offer a good amount of salary for him. So, to join a team like Newcastle is very doubtful.

This time, there is a speculation about a manager transfer for a Premier League team. Newcastle manager Steve Bruce expects to be sent away at the end of the season in the worst case. Because he says that Newcastle will sign Frank Lampard or Steven Gerrard for their manager position. It would be really great to see one of these legends at this team. I have a bigger sympathy for Gerrard so I hope that they can sign him.
Newscastle poor performance this season is certainly the reason for the dismissal, especially now that newcastle has had a new owner and they plan to improve the quality of the team by bringing in some star players and of course they are also looking for a coach who is really quite reliable, I think gerrard is a a good last alternative for newcastle but if they really want to be competitors in the english league, of course they have to look for a coach who has a lot of experience and has proven to be able to give trophy like conte and zinedine zidane.

Zidane and Conte are great alternatives but I don't think they will come.Newcastle  should look for the likes of Steven Gerrard or Franky for the start and look where those two take them before thinking of high profile names,is a massive project they have at hand,Rome is not built a day so the should take it step by step.

According to Mirror, Liverpool are very interested in signing Real Madrid right winger Marco Asensio who is reported as unhappy at his current club now. He scored 3 goals in 7 matches this season and it was a hat-trick in a match. Asensio has been complaining about his not getting many chances in the starting eleven for a long time. As long as Real Madrid continue not to give what he wants, I guess that he would like to go to Liverpool.

Do they more attacking players? I mean don't get me wrong if you can get a good player then you get a good player but I feel like Liverpool is already packed, they have so many great players that Klopp can work with, I feel like their roster is beyond the allowed number these days. Of course, they are not, and they are in the legally allowed registration amount but they do have plenty of attackers.

Maybe they should start focusing on a bit of defenders as well. We all remember what happened last year when VVD went down, they had so hard time to replace him, had to get a loan from Schalke out of anywhere, just to keep the situation going. In any case, if they end up getting him, that would still be a good move, no doubt about that.

Reportedly, Newcastle's first targets in the next transfer window will be Mbappe and Modric. I understand Mbappe of course but the Modric target really surprised me. Modric is very old now. Rather than him, they can go for younger and better players. Maybe it is just about a speculation but still it is really interesting. They have a €1.5b transfer budget in the end. There is no player that they can't afford from now on.

Im pretty sure it was a joke unless you can show some official source about it. AFAIK, some players were joking about signing with Newcastle after the latest news of Newcastle's take over. Even if they could sign anyone, there is no telling how this will goes as Im sure some top players might even feel a bit reluctant to move to 'Newcastle' ( get what Im saying? )

Their chance to improve the club is of course in the January transfer window, and maybe now their focus is only on getting out of the relegation zone and of course we will see a new newcastle next season.
I think it's only natural that now the newcastle memes keep popping up because many don't think that this purchase can happen, and If we look at the wealth of the current owner of newcastle which far exceeds the wealth of Sheik Mansour (manchester city) and Nasser Al-Khelaifi (PSG), it will certainly make Newcastle not only the richest in the Premier League, but also the richest in the whole world.

Apart from that the acquisition has legally fallen into the hands of Mohammed Salman, of course, this all requires careful planning and process, not just buying players at will, the strategy and arrangement in management must also be neatly shaped, I think that is also important.

Just saw on the local news that every Newcastle fan was jubilantly celebrating in front of St James' Park stadium well maybe they were against and hoping for a change after decades of not tasting the title.

Everyone was in England was against Superleague because "soccer of people" "soccer from poor people for poor people" and now they are happy to see a club sold to another sheik. Hypocrisy.

Pogba spoke yesterday evening and he said "we will see" when they asked to him "Are you coming back next year?"

Newcastle United is really going to be a big threat to the elite clubs next season, should the new owner invests heavily the way he wants to.Just like Manchester City rose to glory, that's how Newcastle is going to rise.

If sacking their coach and bringing in new one will help better their situation right now, they will do it because there is a new billionaire owner now.And with a good manager, big players will want to play for the team, and help lift the club to glory.

Investing heavily and on right players <- that is what gonna mke them a big club. However the changes will not be sudden and it will take a lot of time to make an image as a team where good players will be interested to move onto. I think it will take some time to settle down as a big club.

I think Gerrard still less experience and most better choose with Antonio Conte, now Conte as free coach and can take position Newcastle coach or Zidane become second option but I think he not has experience on primer league. I like with Conte but depend with him will begin challenge with Newcastle United without participant on champion league this season? how ever they will pass almost 10 match later without new player because January will open new window transfer, will with this composition player give chance for Newcastle United keep close position for end league keep on the top four position or not.

Not only does the new Newcastle coach have to be able to stay out of the relegation zone their performance is very bad so during the transfer window in January they have to be able to bring in some players and this does have to be a reshuffle in their squad apart from now they are no longer short on finances then This must be done as soon as possible in order to compete.

I saw so many meme photos about the Newcastle squad consisting of several star players, maybe it's their appreciation that the Newcastle club could be bigger with the Arab crown prince electorate.

I wonder if the recent events around Newcastle will stir up the transfer market? If they decide to seriously strengthen the team, then such an appearance of a new player in an already established market can lead to both an explosive growth of players' salaries and their value. In principle, for players whose income has suffered due to the pandemic, this will be a good option, but for clubs that are teetering on the brink of profitability, this will be ruinous.

Well, maybe they are looking at the future, and now that Newcastle has got a new investor whose worth is about 320 billion US dollars and for sure we know that they will buy some of the best players in the world within the next 2 or 3 seasons, they will need a better manager who can work with high ranking players. Lampard would be my personal favorite in this one. Just look at what he made Chelsea. He changed the whole squad and they are not a whole new team compared to what they were 3 or 4 seasons before.

Currently, it is very unlikely that Timo Werner will move to FC Bayern - even though he has been a topic at Bayern time and again in the past. Only if Lewandowski does not extend his contract and a Haaland transfer falls through, Werner could move to Munich.

Timo Werner's name was discussed at Säbener Straße when Nagelsmann first joined, however things didn't get concrete as the team was well equipped offensively. If Lewandowski doesn't extend, and a deal for Haaland is impossible, Werner could become a serious option [@SPORT1]

IMHO, I hope Werner doesn't become an option at Bayern. He is a good player but he does not have the highest quality, which is need to play for FC Bayern.

Besides that, Arsenal have always gone for very young players for a long time. They aimed to create a lineup that is full of promising players. But they didn't want to understand one thing that they should bring quality players to the team to be able to competitive for the title. I don't know if there is really a need for some rich person to buy the club to make this happen. It is very annoying to me. Arsenal should fight for the title. They shouldn't struggle this much every season. If they manage to make these transfers happen, it will be for the benefit of Arsenal. Otherwise, they will continue like always.

Yeah, this has been a case for the past few years. They are buying young players, but not good quality middle-aged players. In order to be a contender for the title, the transfers need to balance between thinking about the present and the future. Only buying younger players won't do the job. For example, this season they bought Ben White. He is a good defender, but maybe they could have used that money for a better defender. Even Utd got Varane, one of the best defenders in the world for a lesser fee than White.

Newcastle will be one of the biggest clubs when it comes to signing star players in the next transfer window and especially the next summer. They will be having much more money for making their transfers happen compared to the rest of the clubs. Maybe they are not the best club now but they can be like that if they build a very strong team. I can't wait to see them about what they will do in the next summer in terms of transfers.

Paris Saint-Germain, with its Qatari finances, thinks a little in other categories than to get a big income from Mbappe's transfer. The club's unwillingness to sell a player to Real Madrid for 220 million euros seems to hint at this, so in such a situation I would not be surprised to extend the contract for only 1 year, especially since there is information that the football player's entourage wants Mbappe to stay at the club for another 1-2 years, and the footballer's mother Faiza Lamari said that negotiations on contract extension are going well. Therefore, I would not be in a hurry to declare Mbappe's transfer to Real Madrid this summer as a fait accompli, especially since Real Madrid is also not going smoothly with finances and it is unknown what may come out in this regard by the summer.
Yea,am with you in this one,if Paris Saint Germain are not very confident that Mbappe will sign new contract they would have sale, because is very unwise to let him go for free if Madrid came with such a big figure,so I believe he we sign the extension.i know he has the dream of playing for Madrid one day but he still has time and age on his side
