From all those gossips, Ozan Kabak is the one that makes the most sense but he needs to come before the season ends, preferably during the half of the league transfer window, that way they can use him instead of VVD, I have seen too many times Fabinho playing defense and I understand that he "can" play that position but he is a defensive midfield normally, so I would love to see Ozan Kabak or another Turkish defender at Merih who doesn't get starting position all that frequently at Juventus when he should, or even maybe Caglar who is another Turkish players (wow they have so many).

So, they need one but they need it right away, getting someone after VVD returns would be for nothing. Rest of the news sounds like good old gossip and nothing valid, sure anything could happen but some of them have been heard a million times by now.

Transfer gossip:

Mesut Ozil is set to stay at Arsenal until his contract expires at the end of the season but the 32-year-old German midfielder has interest from several clubs, including Fenerbahce. I'm honestly surprised that Ozil is still playing for Arsenal after everything that happened between him and the club.
Jose Mourinho is interested in bringing Real Madrid and Croatia midfielder Luka Modric, back to Tottenham for a second spell. Modric's Real deal runs out in the summer. Is there really a chance that Mourinho and Modric will reunite? Let’s not forget that Mourinho brought Modric to Real.

@Daniel91 why are you surprised about Ozil decision, because he knows that he won’t get that kind of salary anywhere else, and hence if he agrees to play it’ll only be for financial reasons.

Furthermore I’m not surprised that Mourinho is moving for Modric, because Modric has shown this season that he can yet perform at the highest level, and it’ll be really interesting to see how he performs in the Premier League if Mourinho can convince him to return to Tottenham.

One of the Atalanta key players - Alejandro Gomez is not fine how his coach was leading in their match against Midtjylland and surely this has boiled more now and has now come to a stage where player is set to leave the club as it seems. https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1340337152845099008

That will be really a key player of Atalanta going out. That will be quite a loss for the Italian side.

Liverpool target Ozan Kabak, is close to making a decision about his future but Schalke's Turkish centre-back is said to favour a move to AC Milan. Where he will go?

Inter Milan are in competition for the signature of Wijnaldum with Barcelona. An interesting race  Grin
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has raised the prospect of a reunion with Sami Khedira as he refused to rule out a move for the Juventus and Germany midfielder. Will that really happen?
Barcelona are willing to sell Brazil playmaker Philippe Coutinho, and want to do so by 24 January. Bayern? Liverpool? Some new club?

some clubs are interested in Gianluca Busio from sporting kansas city

Quote
The list of clubs interested in Gianluca Busio is growing. On Friday, Sport.es journalist Toni Juanmarti reported that Barcelona have been scouting the Sporting Kansas City midfielder. Busio, who holds an Italian passport has also been heavily linked with a move to Serie A where Fiorentina are interested.

It is normal because they are the same owner and he is doing it as a kind of investment for Leipzig, he will sell it after a season or two
This is absurd, the payout is so low for this young talented player.
I can already see him at Bayern Munchen in a couple of years for 40-60 million.

So many teams when for him this summer, in the list Milan who was very close.

20m seems like a charity donation for this player, I have no words.

Seeing him make a success at Leipzig will even boost his price more as he will get more recognition by playing in Bundesliga. I think Leipzig will try to sell him out of Germany unless Bayern gives them an offer they can't refuse.

If all three of the target going to Arsenal in January, then Arteta already has some talent who "might" save Arsenal from their struggle. But, do Arsenal have enough funds to get the three of them amid these conditions?
They have to make the funds available if they want to save their season from total collapse, Arsenal are 15th on the EPL table, they must spend this January to change their fortunes and climb up the table, Arteta is also going to be pressing really hard to get the players he wants, cause it's his job that's on the line if Arsenal continue playing the way they are doing.

Bale must return to Madrid and return the face of Madrid in front of the fans...
Tottenham doesn't really need Bale's services because Kane and Heung-min are more productive. Zidane must be prepared for this choice otherwise he doesn't deserve to coach Madrid.

Bale is a good player, but in my eyes he is not a superstar, he only gets the guise as a star player because of the fantastic transfer value when signed by Real Madrid. Bale looks good when playing in the Premier League, but his playstyle was not suitable in La Liga and besides that, he has a tendency to get injured, which is why he rarely gets a place in the first team and he was always under Ronaldo's shadow at that time.

Although currently, he is back playing in Premier League, the old Bale is not the same as Bale in 7-10 years ago, besides that the La Liga culture has changed his playing style a lot, this is why he is also struggling to get the first place at Tottenham.
Bale is a superstar, not every superstar needs to be at the levels of messi and ronaldo, that is very hard to reach, but if you think Salah is a superstar that means Bale is a superstar as well.

Maybe he is not one right now, maybe his peak was a quick one and he bursted and he is no longer that good, he may not be one today, but back in the day that dude could have created goals from nowhere and he was running so fast that teams had to adjust their strategy to put one player on him and one player to face him afterwards. This dude basically got a champions league all by himself just few years ago, against Liverpool.

This is why I think calling him a not superstar would be very wrong. You can easily say "he is not the superstar he used to be" and I would agree with you, I still think he is great even today but he is not as good as his peak anymore, but that doesn't negate the fact that at one point he was one of the best players in the world.

They do it all the time. They have the same owner and sell to each other below market value (well, mostly Salzburg sells to Leipzig).

Szoboszlai really is an interesting player and if Salzburg put him on open market, I'm sure they would have gotten 30mil+ for sure.

Arteta is still trying to build his "dream team" in the arsenal. It has also been reported that he has asked several players to top the arsenal. Among them, Fabio Vieira, Aouar and Isco. for Vieira, Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer funds of 27 million pounds although in other news, Vieira will get a contract extension offer from Porto. Apart from Arsenal, it is also reported that Vieira is being targeted by Marseille.

Gareth Bale is still having trouble getting the main place at Tottenham, the same thing he felt when strengthening Madrid, currently Tottenham still have Son and Kane who are very solid so that Bale's position is marginalized especially Bale is not the player Mourinho wants at this time, maybe a return to Madrid will also get the same thing while Zidane was coach of Madrid.

I don't know if he wants to eat without working or if he has a different motivation. Looking at his performance , Bale is not bad playing at Spurs. In 39 minutes of the match he scored one goal. Unfortunately he only played as a substitute, and in the derby against Liverpool he didn't play. Maybe Bale really love madrid.  Cheesy
His life not just in madrid, of course he wants to play, if he doesn't choosen by Mou or even Zizou, his value will not expensive anymore. No one will pay him as rates in madrid or his salary will be drop. I remember there is a rumor few months ago, if he also interest to move to USA1, but, if he doesn't play regularly, do you think any clubs from MLS will be hired Bale for free in the end of his contract?

Yup, that Bale deal simply did not make any sense to me from the beginning. I wrote about it on the forum already, a good player in his prime but way off from it currently and not a good fit for Tottenham's current way of playing.

He will probably return to Madrid and sit on the sidelines for the last year of his contract and then end up in USA or somewhere like that on a huge salary again (United, I'm looking at you).

Truly terrific player but injured far too often & I question his desire & hunger for the game. Not a good move by Spurs, I will be surprised if he starts 10 PL games this season.

~snip~

You are right, I have read that, while at Madrid he was injured 25 times, only until 2019, this year I only know when he moved to Tottenham he had a hamstring injury.

I read that Bale wants to return to Real Madrid after the loan expires. Bale wants to finish his contract with Real Madrid. If this happens, what will happen to him if Zidane is still at Madrid? Whether he will be on the bench again, we know Zidane's start to the season doesn't need him.

Or He just wants to go back to Madrid and take the full salary without doing a thing like Khedira.
You can't force them to leave so they prefer doing nothing and take the full money, they have no respect not even in Covid time, these kind of players are a desease.
I think he believes to have something like the old football knowledge and thirst just like when he first play for Madrid, that reason why he chooses to play for Real Madrid again but his relationship with Zidane won't make him feel at home in Real Madrid.

It's a disgraceful decision. They sacked the coach who brought them to the big leagues when no one expected it.
They thanked him by not giving him the money to buy the right reinforcements and the WBA was the main favorite to drop out of the league from the start.
Everyone, from WBA fans to players, supports Bilic but coach probably had a lot of a hard time with the owners when he criticised them for not bringing the right players to the club.

Same old story from every corner of the globe. Watford sacking their boss last season after he took them on a winning spree to get out of relegation,,, what did they think would happen to player morale after that?

WBA getting a point from City and you sack your boss? The world is cruel.

From a Spurs fan who remembers Poch.
