HAHA Messi in the end will stay at Barca, what a clown.

As always he has no balls to do what he wants  Wink

It was always expected that Messi will end up staying at Barcelona, having tried to retire from international football two times and leaving Barcelona once before, it was obvious that Messi is not going to leave.

Barcelona new season does not have a good headline, Messi is unable to force Bartomeu to resign, while half of the squad is ageing and youth team nothing to write home about. An interesting La Liga season ahead.

Must have left City fan furious but anyway on a plus note at least Manchester City can focus on other players at least after Messi ended all the speculations and drama going around him. He clearly doesn't likes how club is led under Bartomeu so perhaps this drama might start again in a year or two but for now Messi is going nowhere.
City fans right now might not want to hear Messi's name ever mentioned again at the etihad, tbh, I predicted the outcome to be exactly this and now even if he leaves next season for free, I don't know if city will be interested again, he'll be 34 and his wages is really big, Messi may end up never playing in the epl, I really wanted to see him play in the premier league.

For city and their transfer business, this news should have disrupted them a bit. The attention shifted from Koulibaly (who should have been their priority) to Messi, now City need to focus on getting the Napoli defender and add few other players and get ready for next season, Pep has a career defining season ahead of him next season, if he fails, fans may start questioning how good pep actually is.

This is indeed just a drama so that we can all forget about Barcelona's crushing defeat to Bayern. Or it could be the way Messi gets
a new contract from Barcelona, whatever the reason, in the end Messi will not leave Barcelona. And I agree with Manchester City
can focus on looking for other players, although Manchester City fans should be disappointed about this.

The Messi saga still far away from end I guess.

If messi finally leaves, Barcelona will secure Georginio Wijnaldum & Memphis Depay I think.
according to this news: https://www.90min.com/posts/barcelona-georginio-wijnaldum-memphis-depay-player-sales

oh, another Chelsea rumor,
They want Rennes Goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy.
their coach (kepa arrizabalaga), will have a new contender. lol

Things are getting unsystematic, no single idea what's going to next. This is the usual protest from Jorge Messi after an embarrassing outing from LaLiga's part. As things are getting bad , so it's better to leave him in a mutual way or by court. let's get it finished.

It will stay unclear for some time now. Messi's father have been denying all those fake rumours that have popped up in these few days. He is just answering that in the same way. So it is also not a clear sign that he will be leaving or staying at Barca.

Right now there are only articles around of Messi likely to stay at Barca. For me like others said it's just a drama to pull out a better contract out from Barcelona.

Not sure  Grin

The father of Messi just released an official statement where he said that the clause of  700m€ is not valid.

As expected it looks like Messi will stay at Barca. It’s beginning to look like it could have been a ploy all along to get one final juicy contract offer from them.

Chelsea spending a lot of money, no excuses for Lampard. He needs a trophy or his head will be on a block, Abramovich doesn’t tolerate failure.

I think only an FA cup would save his head, IF he can get top 4 at the same time and reach at least QF in champs league. Chelsea have such a strong squad now, if he doesn't get them to gel together this season and fix the defensive issues, then he's definitely out. As much as they look good on paper now, can't really say how they will do this.

@LFC_Bitcoin yea there’re chances that Lampard could be sacked this season if Chelsea perform poorly in all the competitions, but in my personal opinion he’ll need at least one full season to work with the squad, and even if Chelsea don’t win anything then too they should not sack him, and instead give him time to turn this Chelsea squad into serial winner’s. @slaman29 indeed on paper they look unbeatable, but in their friendlies they only managed to draw the match, hence only time will tell if Abramovich investments will pay off or no.

And this isn't anything new from Messi.  He does this everytime he wants a fatter Barca contact.  Grin

Yeah classic technique, I guess. Lot of clickbaits around Messi rumour on internet. I am gonna shut it down and believe when Messi situation is final for sure. Yesterday they were talking about his father telling "my son is leaving" and now someone claiming that was fake. Really hard to see what is real and what is fake.

Guess Messi drama is perfect for sports reporter to post article and grab all the attention towards their report they need.
You are right all drama is still going on now we have latest news that messi is going to stay at Barcelona and new contract is going to be signed https://talksport.com/football/754333/lionel-messi-latest-barcelona-stay-man-city/
Messi Drama is going to end as Barcelona stick on $700 Million or he is going to stay here in Nou Camp for some more years.  https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1301873775747780608?s=20

I was just thinking about this when I saw Havertz is coming for his medical.
Lampard did a great job with Chelsea when he had no pressure - he had a decent young team with room to grow and a season in which he only had to reach top 4.
Now, with this kind of investment, he will be expected to challenge both domestically and in Europe and it will be too much for them - Chelsea simply isn't at that level yet.

Great one. Lampard has got everything he needs in his team. There were reports about that any progress towards about Havertz deal would advance after Nation league matches and so there is.

Only waiting for official announcement now. Wonder how much they bid getting Havertz from Leverkusen.

Couple of days ago I also pointed out this report of Dzeko being linked with Juventus but with Suarez being almost done I don't think that they will go for Dzeko if they seal Suarez for sure. And also I don't think Juventus are planning to have two old players for same role.

Btw it will be good to see Suarez along with Chiellini.  Cheesy

Very happy to see Suarez playing there now, but not sure how it will work out because they still need to understand that guy gets injured quite a lot now in his age. Of course, when he is fit he is a monster. Definitely the last old player they can get for now.

Suarez and chiellini has moved on passed that incident am sure, what am not sure is juventus long term commitment they shouldn't be a container where old players are deposited, this is the biggest Italian club right now, the got delight to boost there defense which is a good buy and a young player, they should go for young talent -some grown if it's needed-

It looks like a transfer of Javi Martínez to Athletic Club is getting closer. FC Bayern München is asking €12m, while Athletic Club doesn't want to pay that much for the 32 year-old midfielder. Nevertheless I am pretty sure there will be an agreement pretty soon. Farewell Javi, you will be remembered as one of the greatest Bayern players in recent history. Two CL-titles, wow what a journey! We will miss you!

Athletic Club have an agreement with Javi Martínez but must now convince Bayern. Bayern were asking for €12m at first but now would settle for just under €10m. Martínez is willing to take a pay cut to go back to Bilbao [@marca]
