This is the reason why it was sold by Juve.
They are trying to change the way they play and have tried and are trying to take Guardiola (they got Sarri for now, Uefa took 8 months for the City ban instead of 2, clap clap), they want to build a game to entertain the spectator they are trying to turn football into a global entertainment to attract more people, to make more money and therefore to attract even more people ... a vicious circle.

Emre Can is the opposite of what they want to do, he is not a bad player, probably better than the actual Khedira even if they are similar but they are players who do not follow the coach's philosophy.
Not only this but Emre Can have been sold also because it was betrayed by Sarri, he had to be one of the most important players in the team even if he does not have the qualities of the player he likes but shortly after he was excluded by the manager from the list of players available for the Champions.

From that moment he felt betrayed and wanted to leave.

Mbappe just worths way too much right now, he is one of those players you would prefer not to sell in any situation, sure sometimes people are forced to sell players because of financial and other reasons but at the same time who are you going to buy that will be better than mbappe? Nobody. So, PSG will try to keep him as long as possible, without question he is their best player right now (ok maybe neymar Cheesy).

But if he has to go, real Madrid could be a good decision because they are getting older and building a new team around mbappe would be ideal for them, get haaland on top of that and you are done at offensive situation, start focusing on defense, someone instead of aging ramos. Juve already has a good offense, doubt they will spend that much on mbappe.

Emre Can is an idiot, Klopp wanted to keep him at LFC but he forced his way out, missed out on winning the CL & the PL title this season. He went to Juve & failed, now he’s at Dortmund & isn’t starting regularly. He made a really bad career move leaving LFC & it’s gone downhill since.

No one said that Emre Can can replace Haaland on the pitch in his position!

I simply wrote that the transfer of Emre can which took place in January from Juve to Borussia made with a relatively low "favor" price, around € 26 million and the simultaneous "renunciation" by Juventus of exercising force on Haaland, could be seen as a "share" paid in advance by Juventus to Borussia to have an "unwritten right" on the purchase of the clause that will be active from July 1st, 2021.

Only time will tell if they actually made the sale of Emre Can at a lower price for the chance of the advantage in taking Haaland in 13 months.

Juventus often does things like this the last time they did selling KEAN to Everton.

What will happen to the transfer of Haaland to Real?
Real know they need reinforcements for the coming football season but due to the corona crisis, they have to look out for finances and also sell wisely to be able to buy.
Before the corona crisis Haaland was worth 70 million euros but now this price is questionable.

I am pretty sure that Erling Håland will take the last step to a European top five club sooner than later. No idea, if it will be Real Madrid in the end, but I am pretty sure that every big club will be interested in signing him. He's 19 years old and delivering outstanding performances week after week since he arrived in the German Bundesliga. His current market value is €72m. If someone wants to sign him during the summer I am sure this transfer will get super expensive. No matter if there is a pandemic or not. Dortmund won't sell him for €50m.

^^ Emre Can cannot be substituted by Haaland as they do not play on the same position.
It is more interesting to see Haaland playing along with Mbappe together so why not Real Madrid sign them both in 2 years. This would mean that they are going to build a team with them as main players of the squad.

Haaland has a clause on his contract worth € 75 million and can be activated from 2021.
There should be no margin maneuvers for an early transfer in this market session.
The player was paid 20 million from Borussia but added 25 million commissions for a total of 45 million euros.
10 of these millions went into the pocket of Mino Raiola who wisely made a contract of practically only 2 years.
In two years the player will move to go to another team, perhaps to Juve who had come very close to him and who exchanged Emre Can in Borussia in the last session.

I don't think he can go to Real Madrid when I expect to see Mbappè in real in 2 years' time and that therefore he would be wrong with Haaland sharing the same position.

Happy to be proved wrong and to see Mbappè at Juve and to see Halaand in Spain.

Bayern is a good move for Sane if it definitely comes off. He needs regular football after being out for so long, it’s probably good for him to be in his home country, I suppose playing in Germany gives him a better chance to get in the national team too.

Which was weird.  I think he was playing a decent number of fixtures that time and playing them well when he was rejected from the national team.

Yes, going back to his country will surely boost his chances of getting to the national team, plus, it bayern, it makes it more easier for him to make it. He was so hurt having to miss out in the last world Cup, am sure he would take the chance to go back home with both hands. Good deal for all parties.

Bayern must be joking to think they can sign Leroy from City for just 40 million euros. Manchester City bought Sane from Schalke for 37 million pounds and the player has improved so much since his arrival at the Etihad, he should by now have doubled up in price on what city got him for. If Bayern Munich are really interested in the deal, then they must start making reasonable bids that's close to what city's asking price is, or else sane could just end up staying in City.

Leroy Sané only has about one year left of his contract. In addition to that, he was injured for several month now. I am pretty sure he will move to Bayern for a reasonable price and that's not the €80-100m Manchester City was asking a few month ago (before his injury and before the Covid-19 pandemic). The transfer fee will be more like €45m-60m, which is fair I guess. It even looks like City is only asking for €50m, if you trust this German Kicker article:

Bayern and Leroy Sané have agreed personal terms over a 5-year contract. The remaining detail is to agree a fee with Man City. Both club are just €10m apart when it comes to reaching a deal. Bayern are offering €40m while City demands €50m [Kicker]

I do agree with you. Plus, Sane doesn't look very keen on staying at Etihad anymore, bayern are a very persuasive club, they almost took Hudson from Chelsea not so long ago, so, if Same hands in a reques, considering that he may never get back in terms with Pep, City would be better off taking the money. Win/win for everyone.

It looks like Ivan Perišić might move back to Inter Mailand after the current season, since Bayern and Inter can't find a deal concerning a fair price. Bayern is asking to lower the transfer fee because of Perišić's ankle injury and the Covid-19 pandemic, but Inter isn't interested in that. Let's see how this transfer develops..

Bayern have asked Inter for more time to evaluate the impact of the current crisis and the condition of Ivan Perišić who has just returned from an ankle injury. The talks between clubs will continue but Bayern knows that Inter are not willing to lower their demands [@DiMarzio]

Pjanic can now move to PSG for Verratti or to Chelsea for Jorginho according to media.

Juventus has identified the midfield as the weak spot of the squad.

Rumors are talking about

Van De Beek
Pogba
Tonali
Arthur
Verratti
Parades
Jorginho
Aouar

They are also in the market for selling on exchanging

Khedira
Rabiot
Pjanic
Matuidi
Ramsey

The only one who is staying for sure on the team could be Bentacur.

The next session should be for changing 2 players on the midfield, 1 striker and 1 right back defender.

I honestly don't see any big moves from Juventus happening especially if they are one of the first ones financially affected by the Coronavirus. They are the first Serie A teams to cut off their staff salaries as well as lay off some workers and a few weeks after that there were also rumors about them offloading some key players like Dybala to earn some cash. With a lot of financial problems going with Juventus I think we won't see them making any kind of summer splashes in this upcoming transfer window. Although everything could change with some sponsorship and some other strategies to add funds but this will be an unlikely scenario.

I think 50% of the loss in value is too high in number.
If the championships resume, a big if of course, the depreciation could be "only" by 25%.

This is helped by the fact that they are considering changing the financial Fairplay for 2 years (and until a vaccine is found).
Currently, if I'm not mistaken, the Fairplay provides a maximum overrun of 30 million in 3 years, with the new and temporary financial fair play it will be possible a loss without penalty for the teams equal of 60 million in 24 months and this obviously will increase the possibilities of the teams to participate in the next market sessions.

Well, nothing is impossible,,, and to be honest 40 million in a post coronavirus world is really not impossible these days. People are losing money. Clubs are losing money, and transfer values will be going down at least 50% in my opinion so 40 million today is like 80 million before covid-19. I think it is a great buy.
That is why I think the offer was 40 million dollars. Right now City is not going to make any more money from champions league in the next few years because they are banned from it and that is money gone. Leroy will want to be in a team like Bayern that will be in champions league and actually content and at the same time City (and Bayern and everyone else) missed out on so much more money and that is why I think any money is more valuable.

Players must have lost some value because of this issue, all teams lost money so nobody really has money to spend hundreds of millions of dollars this year. When you combine all of this together, that looks like maybe 40 million dollars in cash given for a player you can do without doesn't sound that bad. After all City will have to cut on expenses a bit.

@bullrun2020 according to this article Manchester City won’t be selling Sane for a lower price, and if Bayern fails to meet their valuation then they intend to keep Sane at the club, despite knowing the fact that next year he can leave for free as his contract ends next season.

Therefore I’m hoping that Bayern pays up those additional funds, if they really want Sane to come and play for them.

Also in other news Angel Gomes is being linked with a move to Chelsea which is really heart breaking for Manchester United fans, as he has all the makings to become a legend at the club (Manchester United), hence I’m sincerely hoping that he signs a new contract with Manchester United only.
