Noone will spend 40ish millions for him in the following winter session.
When you mentioned 40 million for a player with an expiring contract it reminded me of the Martinez to Bayern deal several years ago. He had one year left on his contract with Bilbao and Bayern was willing to pay €40 million to get him. At the same time Juventus was interested in Llorente. Bilbao's asking price: Also €40 million. But Juve waited a whole year and got him for free at the beginning of the next season.  Grin

There are more examples if we want to dig deeper. In summer 2016 Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved from Dortmund to Man United for €42 million with 1 year left in his contract.

Side note: 18 months later he had to move on to Arsenal for €8 million less btw. - somehow Man United transfer-policy haven´t been the best in the last years Tongue

Man Utd need to sign young, hungry players with a point to prove. Signing players like Sanchez has proven to be flawed. You should always sign players with their best years ahead of them.

Good example.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan was great at Dortmund but ever since he went to England I remember him as an injury prone footballer who was often sideined for various muscle related problems. Due to the injuries he never reached the highs that were expected of him. He is currently at Roma and he is injured and sidelined until the end of October.

Erikson might go to Real Madrid but it seems not in the transfer season this January, because if it is forced then Erikson is likely to be on the bench alone. That would severely hamper his career, and as far as I know Real Madrid will not spend money on transfers this winter.

In the coming January window, Real Madrid seems to get another transfer for the Erikson, I think this Tottenham's midfielder is very potential for Real Madrid because of Tony Kroos and Modric already passed the golden momentum of their career, They have given huge service to the team, they are almost 30s, So anything big expectation from these two players is not right, So a replacement is very essential in the current squad, I don't mean Tony Kroos I mean Luka Modric, And the danish player is very eager to play with the Royal White in Spain because of Zidane and their History, Hopefully, in the January transfer, it will happen if all things will remain same.

Luca modric looks like the kind of player that can deliver even up to the age of 40 or more. Real Madrid needs to look for young midfielders who can take on the mantle when Kroos and Modric finally leaves. Eriksen doesn't seem to be the man for the job. He's good at what he does, keeping opponents attacks at bay and ushering passes to the forwards but he's a little too old too (He's currently 27) considering he would need time to fit in a team like real Madrid. My suggestion would be to find someone younger. Let's see how things go. January is just around the corner.

The pace at which football is played nowadays will be very difficult for aging Luca modric to cope hence the reason to bring in a young experience player in person of Erikson just take a look at Young stars paraded by Barcelona the likes of Frenkie De Jong Ansu Fati etc thus the need for Real Madrid to beef up their midfield with players like Erikson, I am very sure when January transfer windows opens Zidane will correct anomaly that makes Hazard whose performance in his first season was at below par since joining ‎Los Blancos.

There is no way Eriksen will leave Spurs for Real Madrid or any other team on January.
His contract will expire in June and then he can leave for 0.

Real Madrid already did a catastrophic error las session with Hazard.
They paid him 100 millions while his contract had only 12 months left, they can't do the same mistake another time.

Actually there are several Salzburg players who played really well and getting big club attention.. here's the list :
erling braut håland > Real Madrid, liverpool, Napoli, Juventus.
There is a big rush for that kid. His goal scoring record has been very impressive and has attracted a lot of attention.

I am A Real Madrid Fan but i really wonder why they want to buy him if the rumor is true. We have so many promising forwards that aren't even getting enough play time some of which where bought recently.

I think Napoli would be a much better destination for his development.

I would love to see him put on the Liverpool jersey, I believe he would be a perfect fit, with their attacking football and high press. He is young, and have lots years to adapt to whichever club (league) he chooses to play in.
With the amounts Liverpool has spent over the couple of seasons, they may not be able to chunk out the amount it would take to land the Norwegian

^  Solksjaer could be going too.  If Liverpool thrashes United like 5 - 0 or something, wow.  I don't know how much more its supporters could take.  I think we'd start seeing 'OLE OUT' banners.  Lolol.

@tokeweed as per the news I’m reading Manchester United board is going to give him a breather in Liverpool’s match, but if the club looses against Norwich then they’ll have to pull the plug. As I had said earlier the fans should blame the board for not buying him a striker and a midfielder, and also it’s his sheer bad luck that most of his first team players keep getting injured.

Rumors related to the departure of Pogba from Manchester United, Crowded discussed lately.
Quoted from Sportskeeda based on the Tuttosport report, Pogba and his agent Mino Raiola try to get a new agreement with the Red Devils in order to survive in Manchester United. if MU management granted his request to have a salary of 27 million pounds or the equivalent of Ronaldo's salary in the inventory.

I’m pretty sure all Manchester United fans want him gone, while he’s a world class player but he’s never been able to replicate top form while playing for the club.

I just came here to see if I can change my choice in the poll, but it seems like that´s not possible; would be interesting to see the chances/opinions shift during the weeks/months, but also easy to answer the question in favor of Lampard now.

Maybe the FIFA and UEFA should agree on a new payment-model and eliminate all fixed wages for all players in Europe´s top-flights that already earned let´s say €10M+ in wages, but allow performance-based salaries only - and then see how players will perform without having their save income!?

Do we have any info of where it is said to join if he don't sign for Manchester United?
I don't want him to Man Utd. I think that he actually destroys the team. He deserves to sign for a medium club and start again showing if he deserves a place in top clubs or not.

Obviously Ole isn’t a great manager but I don’t think any manager could get United into the top 4. The whole club is a mess from top to bottom. They need to make major changes throughout to get back to where they think they belong.

Classic raiola ... using his client as a tool of digging gold. Everyone, every club hates this scumbag. Pogba is indeed unhappy at Manchester United but he has a lot of respect on the club and contract , his agent raiola is the only reason makes pogba situation complicated .

Also I heard that Manchester United interested in salzburg striker erling braut håland , I see a lot of people making meme on this too Hhhhaaa united fans always overexcited when it comes to players transfer Grin.

erling braut håland > Real Madrid, liverpool, Napoli, Juventus.

Hee-chan Hwang > Arsenal

18 Takumi Minamino > Liverpool

A lot of rising star from Salzburg! Especially after that match in champions league against liverpool... everyone around the world pay attention on these three.

I think the problem is United itself too.
Look at all the players that have signed for them since Fergie left. No one has been impressive despite spending lots of money.
Do you think a players poor form can be attributed to the team, just as you rightly said united have spent much in the transfer market for some time now, for those players to cost that much, means that they are quality and good players and have proved themselves in the past.
The question now is what have they failed to perform,or why does it seem they aren't giving their best to the growth of the United team. I know sometimes a coaches tactics could fail, but united have 3-4 coaches since then, get no changes

Who then do you think has the faults?
Mourinho was getting the most out of the players until the likes of Pogba,Sanchez and a few others decided to start sabotaging him even though I will admit that some of the things that brought this about was his on doing. Most of the players currently at the team are overrated and they are contributing to the poor performance at the club.

...

It could be a blessing in disguise for the club, the early victory to Chelsea bought Ole lots of time as it infused optimism into the club's fan base.
A big loss to rivals liverpool may be the final nail on the coffin. But a surprise victory could buy the coach time and further affect the club. Something needs needs change
