Would José Mourinho be in the category of 'crazy ideas' for Bayern?
Director Max Eberl: "Of course we're also looking into coaches who are currently available.
Jose learning German? I don't know!”, told BILD.
Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1770368178608030100

This looks really interesting.
Where I thought they were going to target Xabi Alonso to be the new coach of Bayern Munich, now it suddenly seems like there is a chance for Jose Mourinho to be the new coach.

But of course, this is just a teaser or something like that. I do not think anything has been decided yet.
However, I have to say I like the idea. Many times we have seen him do well with good squads, right?
So if somehow Alonso is unavailable or they are unable to get Alonso I think Jose Mourinho is going to be a great option for them.
No doubt every transfer window is going to have meme and jokes like these so most chances no one going to take this all as serious because José Mourinho is surely going to have nothing in this deal with Xabi Alonso is still their main target for the next season and in case of having not done this we will have any other coach, but they know José Mourinho is going to be not ideal person for them.

Maybe if they are considering him then could be only for one or two years is enough because long term contract can create problems for the Bayern Munich as we have history of José Mourinho after two years things starting to gone on wrong side and teams feel not good, but he can produce good results with top quality squads but still I am having doubt if we are going to have deal like this in near future.

If Xabi Alonso leaves Bayer Leverkusen, then this will definitely be Bayer Leverkusen's final journey to become champions in the Bundesliga because the chance of winning will not happen a second time with a different coach. Xabi Alonso now knows the strengths and weaknesses of every player that Leverkusen has, so this coach is able to provide the right position for his players to bring victory. It is not certain that a new coach will be able to do what Xabi Alonso did.
Certainly Leverkusen will suffer the same fate as Napoli, where when Spalletti left Napoli, Napoli performance experienced quite a drastic decline. This could be exactly the same if Xabi Alonso leaves for another team then Leverkusen will lose their best form in the coming season. Xabi Alonso is indeed quite a genius coach because he managed to polish Leverkusen into the strongest team in the Bundesliga by being undefeated. There are many rumors that Xabi Alonso has a greater chance of coaching another team next season, so this season is of course his last season with Leverkusen.

But I still hope he can stay at Leverkusen because he is quite familiar with the situation at Leverkusen, where he already has a fairly good relationship with the Leverkusen management and the fans really hope he stays at Leverkusen for a long time. But in football everything can change suddenly, especially since Xabi Alonso is being looked at by an elite European team like Liverpool so it will be quite difficult for him in his current position. He can't possibly refuse it because he can build a better career if he trains a big team like Liverpool  .

All Liverpool needs right now is to get the right manager to take over from Klopp. I thought they were going to hire Xabi Alonso, but that deal is looking very complicated. If they get the right manager for the job, they'll continue right from where Klopp left off. That's a very big decision for them because if they fail at that they're going to be in a lot of trouble. The players will become unhappy and begin to leave.

Klopp has left some pretty big shoes that perhaps, could be quite difficult to fill. Liverpool is a top tier club and would obviously need an experienced coach that knows his onions.
Xavi Alonso may be a good pick but I personally fear he may not have and maintain good performance amongst the players in their games. I may be wrong as well. Xavi is a really good coach and may actually have what it takes to do the job. But could he bring improve on where Klopp ended and bring  significant improvement in the team’s performance? They’re a lot of factors to consider when getting a new manager.

Erik Ten Hag have the players he needs to lift up a trophy, the Red Devils having stellar performance when everyone underrated them, it's quite shocking to see them currently winning elite opposition. Manchester United are competent enough to win the FA Cup this season after eliminating Liverpool in the quarter-final. Perhaps it was huge surprised but it doesn't mean Manchester United should be underestimated, rather these players will continue fighting for crucial breakthrough in success in their perspective careers.
I dont think the last performance of the Red Devils is impressive. They were considered underdogs for a reason. But they have ability to rise to the occasion and deliver stellar performances when underestimated by others. They just capitalize the mistakes made by Liverpool side when Klopp took off Salah and the situation in Liverpool's defense. The complacency of Liverpool when leading was what make Manchester United had a room to play their best game.

The victory over Liverpool in the quarter-final of the FA Cup is a good step for Manchester United's competitiveness and determination to succeed. It may have come as a surprise, but it serves as a reminder not to underestimate the capabilities of this team. Manchester United certainly has the potential to compete for and lift the FA Cup this season. The victory over Liverpool should instill confidence in the players and fuel their motivation to achieve further success in their careers.

According to some Spanish sources, Real Madrid has opened up to the sale of the young quality player Rodrigo.
According to the Spanish newspaper, Real would like to collect a sum of around 100 million euros and obviously only English clubs can afford this expense.
According to the newspaper also, there are currently 4 teams interested, Arsenal, Liverpool, Mancehst City and Manchester United.

Do you think that is value is so high?

I don't think Xabi Alonso's proposed departure from Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season is certain as the young Spanish manager is yet to publicly notify everyone about his next move

This makes no sense. As much as I acknowledge what Alonso has done for the club as a coach, it wasn't him who scored the goals or played the games as a player. If Leverkusen can get a new coach who turns out to be a great match for this club, why do you think they could not play another great season? My assumption is quite different although it comes with the same result as yours. Leverkusen won't be able to repeat a season like this because they are so good that I think only Bayern was as good at this point during a season like a decade ago. Even if Alonso stays there, the next season wouldn't be the same.

There is no denying the fact that the club has the players to win a trophy but the problem is this players are not playing as a unit that will make them coordinated and look like a team that wants go win a trophy. This United team has been playing With a complete squad since the start of the season with those missing out been the most important players in team and this has affected even how the club will play to Ten Hag’s pattern. The FA cup is achievable for them same as the top 4 too but they will definitely have to up their game more to beat either of the two sides.

This depends on what Xabi Alonso's decision will be, whether he will leave Leverkusen or whether he will prefer to stay. At the moment there are still many who say that Xabi has had great luck this season with Leverkusen, so if he wants to prove that wrong then he would prefer to stay in my opinion, but if he is going to use this opportunity to manage a bigger team in the league who is more competitive, then it is likely that he will leave Leverkusen.

Currently I don't see any signs that Xabi will stay or leave, because it seems he prefers to first focus on Leverkusen to become champions in the Bundesliga, even in the Europa League. He likely realizes that he must complete the tasks he has now before he decides what he will choose for his future. Stay or leave, I'm sure Xabi will consider this as best as possible, because this also concerns his career as a coach, he will consider it carefully before finally making a decision.
One thing that is certain is that Xabi Alonso will leave Leverkusen sooner or later, it is difficult to refuse an offer from a club as big as Bayern Munich or Liverpool. However, for now, Xabi Alonso target at Laverkusen has not been achieved, namely winning the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and Europa League trophies, so it makes sense why until now we have not heard any official news about his future. When the season ends and the transfer window opens, everything will look real, however, not a few people hope that Xabi Alonso will stay at Leverkusen until his contract ends.

Apart from that, I assume that Xabi Alonso future decisions really depend on how Leverkusen management sets the vision and mission for next season. One of the most influential is retaining their players and recruiting new players to compete in higher competition, namely the Champions League. If the club officials cannot grant this, in my opinion Xabi Alonso has the potential to leave Leverkusen. Before all that happens, we will of course first enjoy how many trophies Leverkusen can win this season.
I don't think Xabi Alonso's proposed departure from Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season is certain as the young Spanish manager is yet to publicly notify everyone about his next move. There's been reports that about three top European teams are trying to get his services on permanent basis but until the Spanish manager makes a public announcement of any proposed move, I don't think it'll be good to say that he'll leave the club at the end of the season. Currently, Xabi Alonso is focused in making sure Bayer Leverkusen ends Bayern Munich's dominance in the German Bundesliga by winning the league title with his players and I think it'll be after the end of the season will be decide to make any serious statement about his future.

I agree with you, because despite Xabi's excellent results at Leverkusen this season, he still has a lot of work to do.

Xabi Alonso's two former teams, Liverpool and Bayern Munich, will undergo changes in technical command... Jürgen Klopp, coach of the Reds, where he has been since 2015, announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season, while the team German reported that Thomas Tuchel is only staying until June, am I right?

Anyway... Xabi Alonso's idea is to stay at Bayer Leverkusen where he has a real chance of winning the Bundesliga for the first time in its history.

Once this is done, Xabi's contract runs until 2026, and even though Leverkusen have already said that they will only release their Spanish coach for a sum close to 23 million euros, I believe that this is just to "stir up" their opponents. .. Xabi will not change teams for now.

Yes, I agree with you, Ten Hag needs a lot of time to make MU successful like the Ferguson era. I think in football, none of that is instant, At least it will take years for MU to be successful again and reach the peak of it all. But, even it's hard, the management should have collaborate with the coach to build the team by active to the market to buy potential player. And, I see this is the weakness, because I've seen it all this time, MU always lost and always unable to compete to get great players on the market.

It is indeed inseparable because after all it is very natural for Xabi at this time if it becomes a struggle because his condition in the last 2 seasons at Leverkusen is so impressive that surely some big clubs glance at the performance that Xabi is doing now.

Currently, Liverpool and Bayern are also quite reasonably associated with Xabi because of the previous attachment between the two clubs with Xabi already established when he became a player who played an important role in Bayern's midfield and also Liverpool so the chance to be in these two clubs will definitely be very large especially with Liverpool who lost their coach next season and the possibility of Bayern who will fire Tuchel if this season Leverkusen become champions and stop Bayern's dominance that has been established since 11 consecutive seasons. Then there will definitely be some changes that Bayern will make but for Xabi's future we still have to continue to wait at least until the end of the season because after all the situation becomes unpredictable in the end.

If all circumstances are taken into account, I think the chances that Xabi Alono stays at Bayer Leverkusen are tiny at best. Bayern Munich has no coach at the end of the season, Alonso played there and knows the club and he is the one who is beating Bayern Munich in the title race. There is no doubt that Bayern Munich will give this a shot and make an offer, perhaps one that Xabi Alonso can't turned down.

The second club, as you mentioned, is of course Liverpool and they are without a coach at the end of the season. I think that a voting among the Liverpool fans would result in Xabi Alonso being their favorite. He has the right character, the right personality for Liverpool. He might lack some intensity because he will be compared to Klopp, but then again I doubt there is any coach who could match Klopp in terms of intensity. Wink

I think this is just a matter of time and that Manchester United will come back to their glory days soon. Even with Arsenal, after Arsene Wenger left, it took them years and series of coach before finding their fit back. I’m so impressed by their performance this season and with all indications, it looks like they’re regaining their form back and this won’t go anytime soon. Manchester United inconsistency makes a lot to believe that Ten Hag is not the perfect coach for them, and that they need a replacement soon. I haven’t seen Ten Hag as a very bad coach, maybe he should be given room for more improvement, Manchester United could be better than this by next season if given the chance again.

Another bad news for getafe. The club must have lose its important players at this time and he is mason greenwood. Manchester united is gonna send an ultimatum to the getafe whether club is willing to buy greenwood or not. Manchester united to do this to ensure that if green wood can be bought by atletico madrid.
I would prefer madrid to buy out him rather than gambling into the old strikers which have become the main problems owned by the club.

Quote
Getafe are interested in signing the 22-year-old on a second loan deal from United, but The Sun reports the Red Devils are not interested in another temporary deal. Instead, the Old Trafford club would rather sell him on a permanent basis.
https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-news-getafe-mason-greenwood-future-transfer-talks-la-liga/blt2f033aeef79bce01#cs407070699a947cc1

This is a strategy owned by manchester united to increase his price by keep dealing getafe about the future of greenwood. Atletico madrid has been fully targeting him and greenwood is still trying to ask his club now getafe whether club is willing to do something or try to let him go out from the club.
Greenwood's contribution is quite big for the club and im not doubting that if manchester united is pricing him very high caused by we do know that so well how good atletico madrid is for greenwood.

Greenwood shall move there caused by getafe was not the right club to develop his talent and he needs a big club like atletico madrid that can develop him to reach his peak performance.
Atletico madrid sees him as a poteintial one despite greenwood's age which is still very young.

Its going to cost them fortune to get Xabi Alonso and as of now, I bet he is a Top tier 1 coach that any team would be willing to hire. Imagine winning (almost) Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen against the all season dominating team like Bayern Munich then after that he pick a team like Liverpool that has alot to do for their next season after Klopp leave

He will has better chance on sticking with a top club in Bundesliga like Bayern Munich rather than taking chances for now. He still has plenty of years ahead of him if he wanted to get some challenges though
I don't know what's the plan of Xabi Alonso for the next season. We have some rumors about him, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are 2 teams to compete for signing him. But it is no clear which offer Xabi will consider.

Bayern Munich have great squad, Xabi Alonso already know well Bundesliga. It will be different if Xabi chooses to join Liverpool. Absolutely 100% true!
United were a graveyard of talent and when undertaker Ten Hag arrived it only got worse. Only Casemiro or a similar player who has already won everything he could (5 Champions Leagues like Casemiro) and is now looking only for a fat contract can go to United in a clear mind.
Everyone has already seen that United is a swamp, so it will be extremely difficult to lure any promising player there (not to mention top players).

I don't know what happened to MU, they haven't been able to get out of the inconsistent zone. The team development carried out by several managers after Sir Alex Ferguson, could not bring glory to that era. It's difficult to find the right replacement of Sir Alex Ferguson. Arsenal is lucky after Arsen Wenger, currently there is Arteta who seems to be able to make Arsenal grow even though he experienced a difficult phase which made Arteta receive a lot of criticism from fans.

I think this is just a matter of time and that Manchester United will come back to their glory days soon. You're overly positive about this. I'm not even sure Manchester United can do it because the club needs to be completely revamped by changing its coach and many players which were always consistently performed so badly.. I remind you that if Ten Hag has become the source of all problems at Manchester United, the only way to make the club even better by kick him out from the club.

This is the most important step that the management must have taken to kick ten hag out of the club since the club really needs a new coach who can handle the club properly over him. Arsene Wenger did not give Arsenal many trophies. If you are looking for someone who can perform as well as Alex Ferguson, you will not find any but we can find who will able to be very close to even though it will not be as good as last seaosn .

Manchester United requires a capable coach who is far superior to ten hag, who frequently causes problems for the club. There are many unresolved issues in Manchester United.

Tomiyasu joined Arsenal from Bologna in August 2021 and, while not always a regular in the starting XI, has become a valuable and versatile member of the squad. His new contract includes an option for a 12-month extension.
“I’m playing for Arsenal and this means I’m playing for Arsenal’s supporters,” Tomiyasu said. “So that’s why I dedicate my life for this club, and for the supporters. I want to give them something back.”
Source: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/20/arsenal-takehiro-tomiyasu-signs-new-contract

Tomiyasu has extended his contract with Arsenal. He has extended his contract for 2 years with Arsenal.
He is going to stay in Arsenal till 2026. This Japanese guy looks to be pretty dedicated towards his club, Arsenal.
Of course, it is not sure if he is going to extend his contract or not further than this.
But there is a chance for him to extend his contract for one more year with Arsenal.
At least that's what I think is written in his clause.
I thought Tomiyasu will not extended his contract with Arsenal because during joining with Arsenal on season 2021 Tomiyasu was never being an Arsenal main players this because he was lost to compete with Ben White and William Saliba for defender position moreover this season Tomiyasu also has several times to gets injured and this makes he still not able to reach his top performance again and with lack of minutes to play i thought Tomiyasu will thinking his future and moved to other teams but surprisingly Tomiyasu has decide to extended his contract and he will be at Arsenal until 2026 and indeed one of his main reason why Tomiyasu has decide to extended his contract because Arsenal fans were support to him and Tomiyasu also feel comfortable to playing at Arsenal and apparently Tomiyasu is not the only player to extend his contract because recently Arsenal has been reach an agreement for Ben White new contract it says Arsenal give Ben White long term duration contract because he will be at Arsenal until 2028

It's not about the head coaches at all in my opinion. It’s just that United at some point stopped progressing (not only as a team of players, but in general) and was simply overtaken by many competitors. In short, United are behind the times. To stay at the top you need to “run” faster than everyone else, but United were not ready for this, Ronaldo described this in sufficient detail in his interview with Morgan.
But this does not change the fact that Ten Hag does not correspond to the level of top clubs and should be sent back to Ajax (along with his "miracle" acquisitions)  Grin

If Erik Ten Hag gets to qualify Manchester United fir the Champions League Competition and wins the FA Cup Competition, then all of these flaggings would definitely come to an end.
Lol, I believe you must be amongst those who thinks Gareth Southgate would also be a good idea of replacement for Erik Ten Hag. I won't be fazed.

Manchester United really needs a coach that would change the clubs game play and it actually not Gareth Southgate because Manchester united have got some professional players so all they need now is a coach with good coaching skills and not the one to test his skills. No matter any achievement that Eric Ten Haag will bring to Manchester United, it doesn't mean he can handle the club very well in the future so after this season, the management of Manchester united needs to sort for his replacement and bring a more professional coach that can handle the club effectively.

Had it been Manchester United has a coach that understands the nature of play of the team, they would have gone far earlier because if you watch Manchester United play you will see that they are always more active at the beginning of a game and doesn't seems to maintain same energy till full time so they need a coach that can change that mentality of United's players on the need to maintain same energy they started a game with till the end.

You are completely correct in my opinion, Manchester United has many experienced players in the club who will help them win many trophies for the team, but they lack a talented coach who will boost their performance. Erik Ten Hag came to Manchester United and began buying players from his former club, and he instructs Alex, which is when I realized he is not a true coach.  he can't buy other players from new clubs and perform with them. Antony only performed well for one season, which made people like him, but he is no longer doing well, and all Manchester United concerns are now in the hands of the coach. Look how Manchester is losing points, I don't think they'll even get the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League.

Erik Ten should simply leave Manchester United next season if he is unable to qualify for the Champions League next year for Manchester united as Xavi did at Barcelona, and consider leaving the team when the season ends. Rashford is gradually regaining form, and I enjoyed his performance against Liverpool. I was astonished when Manchester United defeated Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinals. I am confident they will get to the final and face either Chelsea or Manchester City.
