Becoming Manchester City seems very profitable and they don't need to bother competing with other teams to get the young talent they want and most recently Manchester City managed to sign Savio from Girona. This is all because Manchester City and Girona are in the same parent City Football Group, so both teams have the same owner and when the main team needs a player from a team below it, they can immediately take the player without having to bother with any troublesome deals. There were offers from German and Italian clubs, but Manchester City had complete control in this group so Savio had no choice but to go to the team that won the treble winner last season.
Savio will arrive at the Etihad Stadium in the summer and he will still play with Girona until the end of this season. Manchester City gave Savio the opportunity to get the best results with Girona, especially since they also know that Girona currently has the opportunity to win the La Liga title and compete with Real Madrid. Savio really needs his role from the Girona side and coach Michel certainly doesn't want Savio to leave before this season ends. Savio is still 19 years old and the future of the Manchester City left winger will be brighter with his arrival.
I'm happy and at the same time disappointed for the player, his management and Girona. Even if they're both both clubs are from same parent group. Girona right now has more pressing matters to attend too in the hunt and chase of the La Liga Competition ( Tittle ) and this i believe is the best and fastest way to distract a player from his goals at hand.
Great deal I'll say, he'll and everyother person would want to work with Josep Pep Guardiola but, this shouldn't have been done now, I'm disappointed with the agents most importantly.
But as much as that's what the player wants, Good for him then. Godspeed in the next phase of his life!
