Does the poker work off Java? For some reason I can not get it going in chrome and suspect its because they do not support java. Works on Firefox on my mac which is old.
It does and you need to unblock the javascript in your chrome first, sometimes people mistakenly took it as that the site does not support in java because they have javascript blocker . Playing with chrome should give you much better experiences of playing poker rather than playing with mozilla

Hopefully you checked with them first, they shouldn't have to choose between rearranging their schedule and finishing a tournament that was scheduled to finish on another day. (just distribute the prizepool based on chip counts, trust me - its the only fair option...unless they all agree on a time)
Completely agree on this. If anyone of the has agreed with a replay it's ok otherwise chipcount based refund is the only fair way.

8pm site time is equal to? 8GMT, 8ET, 8 cucumbers?
What about players time? Even in India it cost >1$/h.
Minor? Without any support or whatever for >9 hours. And you are not even talking about compensating your own player for your own fault.
Compensation is a must imho, because the players has spent their time for nothing and need to spend other time to re-play the tourney.

I hope that in the future this problem would not happen again, because it could cause people who are enjoying a game of feel disappointed over the problems experienced and they can directly provide negative trust over the problems they have experienced. Also, if players were stranded in a paused tournament for 10+ hours, and your response is that you're "diligently working 24/7 to address your issue", it's probably not a good idea to later claim it was a "minor technical problem"

I think there will be no refund like usual, it is kinda annoying when we play on tourney for an hour or more but freeze on the final table.
I think if the poker is frozen, they need to split the prize-pool to the remaining players or just restart it just for the remaining players.
So this happened before? It's just random? Sometimes the final table runs, sometimes it doesn't? WHAT . THE. ****.

Unless all players agree on a time to restart, the only option is to chop remaining prizepool according to chip count imo
