This issue is getting worse every second now. To submit a post you must verify yourself, to click a link you must verify yourself, anything you do or click you must verify yourself. What is really happening? Is it that the website is under maintenance or the admin is adding some features to it? Now to post is a very  big issue.

Forum is working for me with Tor browser but it is much slower and I am always getting cloudflare boxes to click.

Interesting. Cloudflare check did not work for me and I kept trying multiple times. I got the checkmark box, clicked it and even after multiple attempts it never went through. It just reloaded the page and did another check. Perhaps it depends on what exit nodes are being used.

The situation has been worse with me. I have been trying to reach the site for more than 8 hours, but unfortunately I was unable to visit the site. I tried different networks like 4G, fiber network, and others but still I was unable to visit the forum because there wasn't any option for me to visit the forum as the Cloudflare didn't loaded with my IP addresses.

Finally, I downloaded Tor browser and for many hours I was trying my best to connect with Tor but still I wasn't getting any success. I have changed entry and exit nodes of the Tor network many times, and finally I found that I was able to connect to the site by using France based IP. I have never faced such issues with the site as of this time. I hope that others may also get success in browsing the site if they use France based IP address because other IP addresses were unable to connect me to the forum.

I thought my network was the problem but apparently almost everyone feels the same way Cheesy because from yesterday I felt something like this.
I tried to make a post but was blocked by error 524 (A Timeout Occured) but when I tried to refresh my profile, my post was already there.
Many have thought about the network but after seeing yesterday's thread about this problem I think the problem is not the network but the forum, now have to be a little patient when leaving posts waiting for a while to load and after "Timeout Occurred," means the post has been made, so now there should be another tab to check the posting has occurred or not.

Is anyone else having the same issue for the last hour or so? All the other pages are opening very fast but for some reason bitcointalk is extremely slow to the point of being barely usable.
I opened similar topic yesterday and I had many issues, but than later it looked like everything is back to normal so I looked my topic to avoid spam comments.
Today I came to forum and I notice different problems again, I write a post click to post it and page keeps loading all the time, but then I check and it was posted.
This has to be something connected with cloudflare but I want to hear official confirmation from forum administration.
Is there any subsitution for cloudflare we can use for protection against attacks?

In the light of this, has the forum banned Tor exit nodes on their Cloudflare? Cloudflare by itself does not ban Tor so it must be the forum (or the threat level they have chosen). The administrators should look into it. I conducted a test by visiting Cloudflare website and I managed to pass the connection security check on Tor Browser.

I'm getting this.  Except about 80% of the time, after it finishes trying to verify, the 'I am human' checkbox which is supposed to come up is instead displaying a blank grey box and doesn't do anything.  I have to re-open the site in a new tab several times in order to get it to work.

And even if I don't navigate away from the forum, if I spend too long looking at a different tab on another site, it'll do it again when I switch back to the open forum tab.

Worth looking into. It's terrible if Tor users cannot access the forum.

https://developers.cloudflare.com/support/firewall/learn-more/understanding-cloudflare-tor-support-and-onion-routing/

EDIT:

Something is definitely going on, but I can't tell if it's Cloudflare or BTT hosting server or maybe a combination of both. For those who use Tor, there seems to be a way around Cloudflare check when it happens, and all you have to do is select the "New Tor circuit for this site" option. The page then loads normally (currently works for me).

And I've tried this. Even if it worked, I think it doesn't solve the actual issue.

EDIT2: There is a link that allows Tor users to bypass Google captcha easily. If there's no other option, maybe similar could be utilized to bypass Cloudflare checks somehow.

I think it's clearly something to do with the database connection where insert function exists. It's inserting new data but then because of the error the browser keeps waiting until showing the timeout error.

In a forum script like this one, practically every time you load a page, it is gonna insert (or update) something in the database. It could be the count of post views, user activity, or any other data. I mean, it is possible that there is a problem with the database server, but it is impossible to tell for sure on our end.

Solution:  Get to the bunker, gents.  Bring the booze, drugs, guns, and ho's and I'll meet you there in 5.
Don't you need the toys 😉?
I don't know 'bout all that, but if y'all is cute (and of legal age), I'm authorized to wheel and deal as keymaster of the bunker.   Wink

Not kidding though:  I'm spooked.  Aren't any of you?  And another thing, this is why I've kept all my DVDs so as not to be solely reliant on streaming services.  Then again, if Skynet takes down the power grid I'm not sure where movie watching is going to rank on the priority list.  Anyone got a ham radio they want to donate to a slothful slob?

It is world wide issue with Cloudflare, not only issue on Bitcointalk.
Jeeeesus, my internet has been moving like a tranquilized snail across the backside of a strip of packing tape all day long.

My thinking:  AI-->bad thing-->somethin' happened-->Skynet launched itself.

Update of my experience.

The buttons words just fine are: Preview, Save [when updating]
Button that is having difficulties: Post.

I am having fun LOL.
Honestly speaking the browsing experience seems faster than other days. May be not many people are logged in today because of the error 😉

I have also facing the same issues from yesterday night. Yesterday when I went to visit the page but it was showing loading and loading. I have also thought that it can be of my net ISP issue but when I am seeing it is also happening to others then I realized that this is another forum related issues.
Currently I have more problem while posting, after writing the post when I click on the post button, the tab just keeps loading and shows the following error.

I've  been blaming this on my network and u was at some point  reluctant about it but I was careful enough to delete any duplicate post but at least I'm a little eased now since its a almost general issue and not just from my end.

I haven't through the entire thread but I hope this gets fixed anytime soon as it is making work tiring and not easy for persons  like me who is already battling with local network.

Very slow download since yesterday. Especially when you make transitions by topic, there is a constant check for security.
This site being down or dragging to load up is becoming one too many recently. I sincerely hope it's not something untoward or that which could destabilize this forum, anyway.

The sad thing is that the "Host Error or occurred timeout" sent my post twice and I have to delete one. I believe the issue was caused by the new Cloudflare added by the forum admin and it will be nice if Theymos and the team do something about it.

This is really frustrating and annoying now and i also wish if the admins tell us why exactly this is happening and when it will be resolved ?

Just for experiment, i restarted my Internet router (to get a different IP), clear the cache of my browser and it start working normally for sometime and then again the same problem.

Is they any work around found to tackle this issue for the time being ?

I've had the last few hours, well to go to other pages it's still perfectly normal but when I start posting I always run into issues here.

Several times I tried to post but still the same.
This is the exact issue I am experiencing either and I was thinking about creating a thread for it in the meta before I see that there's already a discussion on it.

Same here, There's no way make a successful post without experiencing the timeout error. This maybe the reason why there's a lot of double post on different boards. I'm doing same method as yours by having a separate tab for my post history that I just refreshing whenever I made a post that still loading just to whether the post is already successful or not but most of the time the post is always successful after clicking the post and the screen load.
