I thought my network was the problem but apparently almost everyone feels the same way Cheesy because from yesterday I felt something like this.
I tried to make a post but was blocked by error 524 (A Timeout Occured) but when I tried to refresh my profile, my post was already there.

edit
happens again like this Cheesy

even though my post already exists.

Is anyone else having the same issue for the last hour or so? All the other pages are opening very fast but for some reason bitcointalk is extremely slow to the point of being barely usable.

To me the pages are loading just fine, in fact it feels faster but when I am trying to make a posts it's annoying me. I was about to respond in a post the following then realized the hardship I had to make my last post.

OP, you should blame hugeblack for giving you a neutral tag, because everyone will feel the same that took note of your recent actions in the forum. A neutral tag would have saved your from all these investigations and evidence that is on the account that you are using. Am new here and don't understand how to dig into someone's account but when I saw your acceptance into a campaign yesterday,I was amazed of the number of merits that you have and immediately I checked your profile then I saw that the account was registered 2013,then I relaxed my thought. Is funny to see that what I was thinking was already noticed by other forum members. Seeing this your thread brought back my thought.

What is happening LOL
Did you set up a bot and ordered it to make same post in the same thread in different time interval? If it was a mistake by clicking the Post button multiple times then we would see all these posts posted in few seconds interval but it seems like they are not.

The browser loads for long time once I press the Post button, then shows it can not reach the server. But it post the content successfully.

Since yesterday
It's a bit better today than yesterday, it delayed a lot, tried multiple browsers and nothing worked. Came to confirm on meta if it's just me experiencing the lag, good to have found this thread. Other sites have such delays, although don't know if it's what shoppy use too, but my order there delayed so much on there. Hopefully it gets better and the forum moves faster like usual.

I am also having the same issue here for couple of hours until now. Even the Bitcointalk Telegram notifier is not functioning since morning. Initially, I thought it was my network provider having problem until I started receiving messages from other chats. I hope this get resolved as soon as possible.

Could it be that this has something to do with CloudFlare rather than the hosting server? Lately, I have been experiencing frequent CF antibot checks, way more than usual.

The problem can be with the size of a letter. I tried to send one message multiple times and each time got 500 error. When I shortened that message it passed. I tried to change it after that adding what was not got in, but it gives 500 error again. So only short enough messages can be posted or sent. a message after clocking the post button if nothing happens. It is possible that your message is already there even if nothing happened.

I'm getting the error randomly so it's nothing about the size, and having got my last post which is over 15 lines without issues is obvious that's not the cause.

It definitely has correlation with a message size. I had to cut a quote significantly just few minutes ago before 500 error disappeared. It appears each time when a post is probably too huge (and appears again and again), but as soon as the post is shortened it disappeares immediately.

This is roughly what happened to me in my last post, where I had to delete the quote that was more than about 50% of the post size in order to get past the 500 error page which keep appearing since more than two hours. I thought that it's a browser error before i found this topic here so i reboot my laptop several times and try to use my navigator mobile version. Things became more complicated to me when i succeeded to post a test topic in "Archival" board.

The post was in my local section, where the letters are larger than the Latin letters, I think. I am trying to post here without deleting the quote above to prove if this is possible.

This has happened to me severally today, i taught it's happening to me only or only the low rankers not knowing that it's happening generally, let the technicians who is in charge of the server look down on the problem. The message sending multiple times is as results of clicking on post multiple times also. When i tried it i clicked triple times and it sent my post same times until I checked my profile and confirm that I have double clicked severally

Honestly, this is getting a little ridiculous.
When I try to publish a post, the page loads for a few minutes and then I get a following message:
A timeout occurred Error code 524
bitcointalk.org Host Error

However, when I open the bitcointalk page again, my post is already there.
Practically, now I have to wait a few minutes for each post to be published, which is getting a bit irritating.
I hope these problems will be solved soon. Is there any news from the forum admin?
I published the first post today 4 times because I didn't realize that the post had already been published the first time  Grin
I wonder how long I will have to wait for this post to be published  Grin

What’s wrong with the forum. Posting a reply took a lot of time to load after clicking the post button. It always show Error 524 after waiting for the loading screen to finish. The post is successfuly posted even with the timeout error but still it's annoying to wait on this loading screen just to post a singe message.
Something is wrong that I can't explain. I had to delete two posts today because they appeared on the thread three times. Gradually I understood that one has to be patient with the bitcointalk site. And you don't have to repost even if it shows that an error occurred because in most cases it has been posted. I saw a post where a member was applying for a campaign and the application came three times. Now he has to wait for twenty-four hours to delete them. I keep wondering if there will ever be a lasting solution.

I thought its just my connection I remember having this issue a few years I have to open one tab to see if my post was successfully posted, not after 3 to 4 tries I have to copy-paste my content so if ever it got lost I can just paste and hit submit again, I hope things will be back to normal it's quite annoying to do a lot of reloading of your tab

Edit: even posting this i get error 524, but when i check this thread in different tab it successfully posted.

As for the size of a post don't forget that Cyrillic takes more bytes per symbol than Latinica.

^ As mentioned above, you also posted a comment 4 times, it is going to be a hell of a day for moderators to delete all those dupicated posts. Roll Eyes

I request everyone to check the post history page if the page keep loading when you clicked post and most of the time your post will be available in the history.

I am also facing this cloudfare issue for more than 24 hours and some browsers can't even verify and stuck on that page itself so now using via chrome where the verification and posting process goes through without any error.

Hey everyone be careful when making posts on bitcointalk because due to the congestion of the network, your replies may have been posted with the normal procedures, and if you are not careful you may post the same replies multiple times if you keep clicking the post button your bitcointalk comment session.
So everyone is advised to be manual as much as possible by checking your last post history to know if your comment has been posted or not.

It seems to me that due to the fact that the forum is very slow today, some will make several posts in a row. I found six posts from user Sim_card. I think he will be very surprised when he sees that his posts have been deleted as duplicates. I would be more attentive to the publications at this time.

Coincidentally I travelled many miles away from home and on trying to access the forum from my new location it was reluctant to open. I thought if BTT was restricted in certain regions. Then I tried accessing the forum with a vpn and the delay persisted, I then concluded it was from the forum side. But I didn't expect it because it wasn't long it happened the other time.

Also, it seems even ninjastic.space is having issues getting the posts, I tried to link an example of how to NOT do it, but it seems it hasn't passed those posts at all:

Facing the same issue. Getting Cloudflare verification every time I open up the forum, apart from this issue I am another problem. All pages are sometimes working fine and sometimes not at all working. I too got a few time-out error pages, which generally means some kind of issue on the host server side.

EDIT: I had to try three times to post this reply

Just like what Odusko suggested, once you click the post button if it loads a little bit then I think you need to go back to post history and hit the post history again because most at times it would have actually posted your reply. And if you had actually made mistake of posting multiple times you can immediately delete and it would work out

The post is successfuly posted even with the timeout error but still it's annoying to wait on this loading screen just to post a singe message.

Once you see it loads a little bit do not wait for till it loads fully, your post has already been posted. For now we just need to be patient like the other days or try out the idea from Lucius.

Something is definitely going on, but I can't tell if it's Cloudflare or BTT hosting server or maybe a combination of both. For those who use Tor, there seems to be a way around Cloudflare check when it happens, and all you have to do is select the "New Tor circuit for this site" option. The page then loads normally (currently works for me).
