hee-ho.
So exactly how is activity counted?  What counts as activity vs posts?  My profile says I have 25 posts and 24 activity.

Edit:

Nevermind, I found the answer here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657

can someone explain why my activity went from 29 to 28 is there a timeframe which stops my activity from dropping

It will only happen if you have deleted any of your previous posts and you have not posted anything within 30 minutes after deleting.

The previous activity count goes down in that case.

In any case from next time try to counter balance your posts by making new posts after deleting the old ones.
Erm another misconception about activity. If one of your only post from an activity period is deleted, you lose the 14 activity that came with it

29 is not possible, it must be a multiple of 14.
It is possible if you have posted one post each on three activity periods, and 29 post count. Which ofc is not the case here

It's impossible for the activity to drop as far as I know unless you got your posts deleted I guess , but it's not the case for you since you have 38 posts .
Activity reset was yesterday , so if you was with 14 Activity , you got 28 now and if you still 28 since one/two weeks then It should become 42 (max) once you reach that amount of posts .

No I dont escrow anymore.
Thanks for the information. ..  How many posts can be done daily? is it according to the rank or something?

Indirectly yes. You have a post limit that decreases with higher activity. E.g. a newbie can only post every 360 seconds (5 minutes), while after a certain activity you can post every 4 seconds (you shouldnt though). Besides that, there is no limit to the number of posts you are allowed to make as long as you dont spam.

# keep the posts ontopic even when others try to derail the topic
# make sure you read the entire thread before you answer (or at the very least the last few pages of a very long thread), giving the same answer over and over again does not help anyone
# if you state your opinion on something, explain a bit about why you have it. Dont post "I think x is y", but rather "I think x is y because of a".
# dont copy someone elses posts (perma ban w/o warning)
