thanks for information. but i am little bit confuse. can i post freequently or have any limit?

You can post as many good quality posts as you wish. The only limits that you have as a newbie is that you have to wait 360 seconds between each post and your submitted images cannot show and of course the limited signature text.
If you want them to be removed take a look here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-can-now-pay-a-small-fee-to-enable-images-2385104

the higher activity i have the higher Rank i can posible can be
so what is the advantage ?
i read some thread about Ranks
so the higher rank what you are
the higher of posible there will be a user or company will buy your account ?
it is that's true ?

well if you are going to participate in bounty campaigns, the higher your rank, the better earning you get. so if you want to earn on bounties you need to work on your account. and of course you can sell your account, but there are a lot of offers now, it will take time to upgrade your rank and a lot of work. not sure it's worth it..

Lol. He just explained it to you and it's been explained dozens of times in this thread alone. Post count and activity are different but linked. Simply put you can only get 14 activity for every two weeks you have been here and posted in. So you have posted in 13 activity periods. When you post in the next one you'll get another 14.

I'm here almost online everyday and my activity does't go up..how the heck is this working?

People with half of my posts have higher rank...like watta FF man.. Embarrassed Embarrassed

Hm.. see on the first page:

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.

Not sure, if I understood it correct tbh..

Yeah saw that but doesn't understand much of it... All i know and see some go faster up in ranks than others while the one going faster up not being online more often that the slower guy...

Feels like a bogus rank system.. Sad

It's basic maths. How could it possible be a bogus system?

Let's say the amount of periods you've been registered is 1, which is equivalent to two weeks, this means you will have 1 * 14, 14 posts to make if you want to get your maximum activity. Which is equivalent to 1 a day.

Would you mind linking me some profiles that have gone up faster in activity then others? Being/ having alot of time  online / spend on this forum has nothing to do with it. It is all about your posts in relation to when you registered..

Are you an admin?..

Did you see my post count and my activity?... dude i got almost 500 post and 182 activity... ..some have 400 post and are already higher rank... explain that to me dude Smiley

Hi, I'm new to this forum.

Can anyone please help me understand how activity is measured? I found this, but don't understand it.

"The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour"

Simply put: You can only get 14 activity points every two week period and that's pretty much all you need to know.

Did you even read the first post? Ranks advantage include time limits on post and PM, able to use an avatar, and of course less restriction on signature styling.

... no. Geez, this forum is neither about buying and selling account nor it is about earning Bitcoin or anything. It is a media for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency discussion. You shouldn't participate in this forum at all if you only care about earning Bitcoin or something like that.

Hello,

I have a question about activity. Will my activity grow by 14 points in 2 weeks regardless of how active I am during this time? Is it how it's calculated? I am sorry if I misunderstood first post about activity.
What it means being "active" in that 2-week period means posting atleast 1. It doesn't matter how long you stayed logged in, how many posts you made in that time frame to the definition of what being active in that case. If you don't have enough posts to cover the 14 activities to be added then it turns as a potential actvity (from the word itself, "potential").

Hi guys, quick question, do I need to post every single day to rank up? (I didnt post anything on the  17th so not sure if it had any effect). Thanks

No, but you need to make sure you make at least one post in each activity period. If you don't you will lose that activity for ever. As long as you make at least one post in each period you can then accumulate activity and collect it at a later date by making the required posts.

Is that mean accumulating 2 weeks period with no post will make your up ranking harder to achieve ? I have an account from 2013 with zero post, most of the time the account is freeze due to security breach of bitcointalk in 2015, just recently reactivated and start posting, really hard to get the rank moving compared to newly created one, the I created to recover the freeze account
