Never really understood how that worked. Thanks for that explanation so now I can bet on other sites that offer this American style odds system too.

It means risk 100 to get 70.
Its simple, just multiply your bet with 1.7 odd.  
100 x 1.7 = 170
You bet 100 on 1.7 odd and if you win you will get 170 back.

I dunno what 1.7 means but I know -120 is a small price on the royals
