By the way you're not interested in making the competition ? I mean competition for the winner tipster 1 to 7
it seems interesting to know who the winner amongst it all .

As you know we are already in our 8th competition, so we gathered the results from all previous 7 competitions, and created a Hall of Fame that shows everyone that made his place to the prizes in all precious competitions. This is quite important in my opinion, because like we keep saying, one of the goals of these competition is to see how our participants manage in the long run. So like this we get to see that users like bitbollo (naming him because he is on top of our Hall of Fame), already got to the prizes for 7 times in 7 competitions with a total ROI% of 1058.57%, and total added prizes in the value of 1938 mBTC

This is quite impressive to say the least!
Still using him as an example, we can add the link of his Tipster Thread right next to his name in the Hall of Fame. That way any user that sees that post, can follow his link and see his tips there. This could be a great promotion if he decides to open a tipster service for example.


Multi entries are treated as the same user, because they do represent the same user. So we just add the ROI% and prizes accumulated from all entries of a given user that made his way to the prizes. Now that you mention it, we do have a problem, because we are not considering entries that did not make it to top7. That means that the ROI% on the Hall of Fame could be bigger or smaller depending if the those entries had negative or positive ROI%. I will try to gather that information and update the list, if I can't get that information, we will just remove ROI%, and order the list by number of wins in the competitions.

I don't have a tipster thread yet, but I will consider creating one to add my link to the Hall of Fame.
It sure looks like a good place to promote yourself as a tipster, given that we now have a place with our public stats in the long run.
It's impossible to deny the value of that, since it's not just a self proclaimed title in a tipster thread xD

EDIT: Congrats to everyone that has their name in the Hall of fame, but a special congrats to bitbollo and Omikifuse, their stats are quite impressive.

Do you mean like an all time ranking? Who it is going to be calculated now that there are multientries?

By the way, it is funny that the big tipsters of the forum always end up with negative ROI when they participate the championship, like Joca97 and BetAdviser

Hall of fame from the beginning of the 1st tipster competition?? Its great idea for someone that had tipster thread even for some new comers like me its good to start personal thread about tips on betting...

For side competition like last special competition its more better than daily challenge from what i see because i dont joint in both competition...

Yes that could be another problem. Not sure if it makes sense to just limit those extra points to football.
We do have the Olympics, so we could award extra points for some kind of bet in the Olympics. If we do that, we will probably keep it to football, but only in the Olympics. That would also reduce the possibility to try to exploit the system, since you will not have that many games, and you only get one extra point per game with a winning correct score bet.

0.5 points for correct score would be too little.

And what kind of games would be considered for correct score in the next competition?

Do you think it was overpowered in the knockoff phase?
We tried to adjust it, and I think it went well. Note that we removed the bonus from just getting one side of the correct score.
So right now you can only get one point per game, and only if you win that bet.

We can reduce it even more, and just awarding 0.5 points if necessary, but the incentive would probably be to small (although the next competition will not be exclusive to any event, so there will be many games available, so reducing to 0.5 points to only winning bets might be a good idea)

Important Update: (Hall of Fame)

Hello everyone, we are about to create a Hall of Fame that will be displayed on the first post of this thread.
Right now we only have the winners of the VI Championship, but it will contain, as soon as u9y42 updates the post, all the winner from the previous competition, the number of wins, and the accumulated ROI% and prizes from all editions.

If you see your name there, and if you have a tipster thread, you can ask us to put the link of your thread there.
So as for now, you not only get your get prizes, but you also get free promotion to your tipster thread just for participating in our Competition!!!

I will let you know as soon as it's done, and then we can start adding your links if you want.

The side competition is good because you don't need to go and chase different goals, you can just do what you always do, get a bigger ROI.

But I think the correct score bets are a bit overpowered, specially in the group stage with lots of games, so maybe cut their reward in half(correct score would give 1.5 points and correct goals from one side 0.5) would be interesting

Same with you, I'm quite satisfied with the competition yesterday so I think there is nothing new to be added

As for feedback, I agree with Free1bitco.in things were pretty good on this one. The main competition was good as the others, and I liked the new side competition. I prefer it to the daily prizes, mostly because it's more exciting. I actually won the same bonus on the last two side competitions (60 mBTC each), but it's much better to compete against other players in this format, and having the chance to compete in a final xD

I do not have a new idea because I think VII Tipster Championship (Euro Promo) has been good
you may be able to implement the same system in VIII Tipster Championship

VIII Tipster Championship update

Hello everyone, now that the VII Tipster Championship (Euro Promo) is over, it's time to prepare for the VIII Tipster Championship!
As usual we will take this week to get your feedback to see if we need to make any improvements on the next one.

So here are the dates:
- 12th to 20st July (Time to listen to your feedback and ideas)
- 21st July to  7th August (Registration period)
- 1st August at 00h UTC (Live competition)

Also I would like to listen to your feedback regarding the side competition. I really enjoyed this new format, compared to the daily challenges, but we can go back to the daily challenges format if you prefer. I think this one was more challenging, as you were free to develop any strategy you wanted and were not limited to fixed daily challenges, and the prizes are more solid, meaning most users still got a chance to win something, but as you kept progressing the accumulated prizes sure got better, compared to the daily challenges.

The registration thread and live thread will be locked as usual, and will be open on those dates.

See us on the VIII Tipster Championship!!!

If France win on penalties maybe I get a place in the top 7  but unfortunately all lost
