The first decentralized crypto betting platform
so this is pretty much a bitcoin casino?

Is it still valid now that transactions are slow? Looks interesting.

Not exactly a bitcoin casino because it doesn’t have as wide variety of games as casinos have but you can earn free satoshis, which is their main attraction, and play a Hi-Low game, which is a casino-like game. It has some other interesting features as well. Just visit the site and click the tabs so you will see what they offer.

Is the withdrawal fee permanent or temporary? and will bounce back to “free” when transaction fees and delays soon to be on normal phase again. I’d rather hold my bitcoin on the site for now and claim for an extra time for extra Satoshi and love they’re interest. Small but enough for a simple man like me.
I think it's a temporary measure. once tx fee goes down and remains that way, we might see free withdrawal again. Wink  we need lighting network to solve the fees issue once and for all.

Thanks for answering to my concern. And I hope it will happen. I’ve been using freebitco.in for more than a month now and I’m loving it.

It's almost 3 hours left before the lottery rolls out. Who's Christmas will get very merry?  Grin

3k sats tx fee is almost free compared to the current fees. But it's ok for since i don't have a safe wallet, it's better to keep it in freebitco and let it accumulate.

What do you mean by don't have a safe wallet?

There are so many good desktop wallets are available to use at free of cost and you want to keep your coins in an online wallet and telling that it is safe. For long-term storage either use a paper wallet or desktop wallets if you can't afford to buy those hardware wallets never store your coins in any online wallets not only freebitco wallet.

Hopefully the lightning network will get implemented soon as the fees nowadays are ridiculous. Personally I also think they will remove the 3000 satoshi fee if the situation goes back to normal but only Myfe/Wetsuit could answer this.

I dont know if that lightning network would still happen or not which i dont really bother myself to think off. For now fees would really be not a free thing seeing on its cost for you to make a transfer but its not really a bad idea to let those satoshi being accumulated on the site which i do consider a good way on saving up too.  Cheesy just wait for fees to settle down and would come back to usual state.

is this faucet still up ? is this profitable? need some extra cash

Yes, the faucet is up and working smoothly.

I don't know what you mean by profitable because anything you get at free is profitable. But if you want to depend on the faucet to make some decent amount then it is not possible because they pay very less and now need to claim almost six months to withdraw those small amounts.

Wow what on earth i just seen this site started charging players for withdrawal.  Before they had the one free bitcoin withdrawal a week. I see now the free once a week withdrawal has a charge to be processed.  I personally think that if you gamble with bitcoin on the site they should offer discount withdrawal.

3k satoshi fee for your withdrawal is nothing if you look at the recent heavy bitcoin network. It is reasonable if they charge some fees to make your withdrawal stays as usual. Many other sites charges you higher amount for withdrawal fee so I dont think it is a big deal for loyal users.

~~ ANNOUNCEMENT ~~

Friends, it's true...starting Sunday, December 24th GMT we will be instituting a 3,000 satoshi fee for each auto-withdrawal. We need to do this to offset the cost of increasing Bitcoin transaction fees.

I know this may come as a disappointment for some of you, but we'll have some more exciting news at the start of the New Year!

If you have any questions or issues with your account please PM me.

My alternative suggestion for this withdrawal fee.

Anyway, I never withdraw any money from this site because I claim few times to get few lottery tickets. For those people who really trying to withdraw coins from this site even though your charging very small fee amount but for those guys takes a lot of time to earn that fee amount. So you can consider allowing them to withdraw the amount in some other altcoins so that those guys can save some transaction fee amount.

this will introduce a lot of issues.
altcoins prices are pretty volatile so they either have to have that altcoin already which means they have to invest their money in that altcoin and lose money if it goes down. and pay people based on the current market rate. which means implementing a new system for withdrawals and lots of security audits.

or they have to  do the exchange on the fly as people make withdrawal claims. for example using something like ShapeShift. but that will require additional fees for  exchanging bitcoin to those altcoins and for those who want to withdraw a small amount and are worried about 3000 satoshi, that fee will also not be acceptable.

The site has to find some good alternative otherwise they may lose a lot of faucets claiming people because no one wants to waste so much time to earn small amount and pay such a high fee.

So far site manages to pull so many people because of no withdrawal fee. Now, these guys need to claim few weeks just to earn fee amount. If they don't find a good alternative then finally, the site will be left with people like me who claim few times in a few to buy some lottery tickets.

i can follow your reasoning, but I don't think the people will stay away from the site due to the fee. The minimun payout is 30 000 satoshi, so if you are motivated to achieve that goal, than this low fee is no problem. I think most people begin with the site and then stop because of the (high) minimum payout.

This fee is inviable... 15 satoshis per claim every hour. You need to claim 200 hours only to be able to withdraw your money from the site. For the common faucet user it's not good, for the investor and gambler it's not a problem as they deposit money on the site to play and invest, for them 3000 satoshis is nothing, but for those collecting pennies everywhere it's a lot! To pay via Micro Payment System or using another currency is a good idea.

For people who are on freebitco.in and only doing the free rolls, a 3000 satoshi fee is indeed significant. I deposited a nice amount of satoshi to earn interest, so the fee is acceptable for me. An option to use a micro payment system such as faucethub could indeed be a good idea.

Faucet only user has to claim ...-snip-...e for users to accumulate the minimum amount to withdraw from this site.
How can it be lowered? I am sure this is not... -snip-...t fee?
Looks like this sudden fee conundrum is making an actual case for some. My Idea:
I think that merging freebitco.in with freedoge.co.in could be liable option here.
Both[?] sites no longer rely of advertisement, why not to merge them together?
This would give players additional option to withdraw with doge coin and take advantage of its cheap TX fee.
This will also make the service somehow bigger and more complete. I am a strange person, I like complicated things with tons of options Smiley
so for me, the merer the better. More stats, more "widgets", BTC price ticker and some new ways for utilising RP...please  Roll Eyes [example: small advert box for rent with RP{could be useful for some}, RP "hard conversion" in to lottery tickets, auto claim for rent with RP, etc.].

Remember (Im sure you know this by now) wetsuit, who doesn't move forward, is taking a step back  Cool

It sounds like a good idea, just maybe a bit complicated to implement. I would like if these websites would be merged and users woupd be able to convert btc to doge if they want (offcourse, they would have to pay conversion fee, which would be a new way to monetize website). Now Doge faucet is abandoned, no new features were implemented and owners are just loosing money by running doge faucet.
Big BTC price and huge transaction fees now killing Bitcoin faucets and something have to be done that users would be able to continue earning from faucets.

Faucet only user has to claim quite a long time already to be able to withdraw (30000/15 = 2000 hours, about six months with 12-15 claims a day), and the fee means 200 claims are done to pay the miners and not to fulfill the wallet. I understand new registered people won't stay long.
Maybe the admin of the site can consider lowering the minimum amount to withdraw from the site since the free rolls per claim is giving out so little satoshis per claim, and I agreed with you that it will take a long time for users to accumulate the minimum amount to withdraw from this site.

How can it be lowered? I am sure this is not going to happen because of there is so much fee to take just to send that amount. Are you saying that by lowering that amount you might have the chance to get it? I do not think it is worth since you need to get higher fee in case of transaction problem like nowadays. How much you think that the amount should be for the lowest fee?

Wrong equation. It is not 30K satoshi fee but it is 3K satoshi fee.

That brings down to just 200 hours - Average 10 hours claim per day means 20 days and it is no way a good option for anyone to earn money from this site because it is like people working for miners, not for themselves so should find other ways to earn money online.

Yes, but I was talking about minimum withdraw amount, 30k satoshi actually. A brand new user will have to collect free rolls for more than six months before being able to withdraw anything (with hypothesis of a fixed bitcoin price, the more it increases, the longer it is to reach 30k threshold to withdraw). And among those six months, 1/10 of the claims are for the miners.
