This site was the very first bitcoin I 'earned'. Although I never reached the cash out limit it was still fun to pretend like I was making money haha. freebitco.in has been running for ages man glad to see it's still up and functional. If you don't mind me asking, how much does this site generate from advertisements?

but for some reason, they don't want to post the proofs.

I think that's just human nature, why should anyone spend time doing that rather than just enjoying the winnings. I'd really like to know what percentage of the $20/200 winners actually post even with a $5 incentive. I'd guess it is very small and with only 10 lottery winners a week I think the number that have already come forward is probably consistent with that.

and there's a big possibility most of those winners are abandoned, unused, inaccessible account anymore

I don't think all those winners accounts are abandoned because if one wins with just few lottery tickets then we can believe it. But these winners got few hundred to thousand lotteries so those accounts should be active accounts but for some reason, they don't want to post the proofs.

yes, there's lack of reports of lottery winners
but they have no obligation to post their winning lottery here whatsoever

only wetsuit can confirm this and disclose all related information that we all eager to know

All criticism is not negative. I politely put it out there that the "Lottery" winners is still a bit suspect and that it should be looked at. There is no need to get all rallied up about this. When you observe something strange, you comment on that to improve the system.

I have been using this faucet for years and I would like it if all "grey" areas were cleared. ^smile^

Anyone new to all this reading your initial post, or even this one, would get the impression that there is a reason to doubt the site's honesty. I feel that putting a robust response to that for them to read and counter the arguments is a good thing to do.

I really don't see a way to get winners to report here. The numbers of people, 10 a week, are just too small to get an adequate response. I think the $20/200 thread averages about one a day, I can't tell how many winners there actually are but I would bet that is a tiny fraction of them.

The lack of people posting here is meaningless when anyone who has any doubts can easily prove themselves that it is fair every Sunday by working out the winners' user IDs first and then seeing that they match those reported on the site.

If Trump can get elected and yet stay in office and is yet considered as a fit president then you're also free to have your doubts, but in both cases it's wrong to even be there in the first place.

I remember there was a time, where a majority of members demanded proof if someone actually won using lottery tickets or 9999, then members came forward and posted proof they did.

I have personally won 9999 number.

Trust is something that you earn, doubt is free, but freebitco.in has earned the trust and I don't feel now they need to clarify even one % of who wins and who doesn't.

For most people using Freebitco.in, trust was based on the withdrawal of their accumulated Satoshi at the end of every week. Back in the day, there were a lot of scam faucets that were not paying people for the time they put in to solve those Capthas. Freebitco.in was not one of those sites and people trusted them because of that.

They also introduced a provably fair gambling feature, which built more trust and later they introduced the provably fair Lottery system. So I agree, based on it's history, Freebitco.in is perceived as a trustworthy website.

So the Freebitco.in story has evolved into something trustworthy, because people using this service actively requested validation for the features that are offered on this site. The site owner or owners obliged by adding validation features and everyone was happy.

Lately, this site has offered Banking services, where you receive interest on your deposit.

So the whole "trust" relationship with this site is built on their track history of providing validation for features they added and acting in good faith. Given this background, I should think that they should not have any problem to add "reporting" mechanisms for the Lottery users and even incentives for these people doing that, to make things more transparent.

You might agree with me that reporting on a weekly Lottery of +/- 3 BTC in total is more important than a $20 giveaway. Why can this not be done? There are 10 prizes in total and some of these are valued at $20+

Let's build some more trust to improve this site even more. ^smile^

It is quite obvious that you are affiliate to Freebitco.in in some manner, because you have been camping on this thread for some time now. So I was waiting for a response from you, well I expected it. ^lol^

I'm not an affiliate but I make no secret that I have made a reasonable amount of Bitcoin from using the site since it first started. Wetsuit used to answer any negativity in the threads back in those days, I just do that now because I don't like to see baseless accusations going unanswered.

You are obviously ignoring the fact that there are several smaller prizes being won every WEEK, other than the 1 or 2 BTC that are won as a first prize. Why would people report $20 winnings regularly, but they will not report once on the small winnings on the prizes that are won on the 6th to 10th level of the Lottery?

They are not being offered a $5 incentive to do so.

The Lottery can be profitably fair, I have not seen anyone disputing that, but I have seen people commenting on this thread that it is very strange that the winners User ID's are mostly newly created accounts, based on the numbering that are used.

If you go back a few months people were suggesting it was rigged because a some low numbered older accounts won a few times. It also seems quite logical that newer accounts have a higher probability of still being active.

My drivel is only a curiosity at this moment. Time will tell if this was true or not. ^smile^

Actually, the drivel was when you said "supposed to be provably fair". It is provably fair and that means YOU can prove it. You may have shied away from making a direct accusation that they are cheating but that is the exactly what your message conveys.

When the lottery was first introduced it wasn't a provably fair system and people rightly raised concerns in these threads. Wetsuit asked for suggestions as how to make a provably fair lottery and worked with people here to come up with an indisputable system where the Bitcoin blockchain picks the winners.
The crypto gambling industry is entirely reliant on reputation, I don't think it's cool to smear a site that has done so much to prove itself.

I am merely making an observation and I have done this before. I was also one of the people showing concern that one of my favourite faucets introduced a Lottery system that was not fair. Their comments back then was that they were waiting for other people to come up with suggestions for a provably fair solution. Objective reached! My favourite faucet, just improved their system and implemented a solution for that problem.

Since then, a lot of people have hinted that nobody is reporting any Lottery winnings, but people are reporting Free roll winnings. The question is, why are incentives not implemented to reward people that are winning at the Lottery?

Let's be realistic for a second. There has been 141 Lottery rounds with 10 Winners every round. but still. If you do some quick math -- 141 x 10 = 1410 Winners and almost nobody reporting that they are winning anything, then I find this very strange.

Yes, you have the thread where people report the $10 or $20 that they won in the Free roll, but almost none of the 1410 winners in the Lottery, reported anything. I know it is supposed to be Provably fair and all, but I still find it strange that these people are not bragging on the forum that they won something.

The excuse that Freebitcoin has millions of users that are not members of this forum is becoming very thin as these totals increase. I have seen people bragging about winning $10 in a raffle, why not $100 or even less in a online Lottery.

The users that win $20 or $200 are sent an email offering a $5 bonus for posting in that thread. You will notice that nearly all of them needed to make an account to do so. The winner of the last lottery won 1.47418431 BTC which is about $13k. I can perfectly well understand why that person would not be tempted by $5 to give up their anonymity if they are a forum member of spend time signing up if they are not. I actually find it mildly surprising that at least 3 winners have come forward. Bragging about a $200 win has no downside, $13k can make you a target for scammers and beggers.

The lottery is not only supposed to be provably fair, it is. That means you can prove it to yourself if you follow the instructions on the site. Did you try that before posting this drivel?

No wonder more and more people are buying less tickets for the Lottery.  Roll Eyes

There is no wonder but the reason is completely different to what you are inferring. There is a correlation to the BTC price in USD as the tickets are priced in Satoshi. If you check the draw history you will see that ticket sales have gone back up with the recent drop in BTC price.

Yes bonuses you can claim with free rolls (more satoshis, more RP) only last 24 hours, so you must be very active and claim each hour if you want to earn more than what you've spent.
At any rate, it's free money and there seems to be more from where they come from.

12 to 15 times per day is too much for me because it is almost more than half day you need to go to your pc to claim this small amount. I usually claim two or three times in a day and sometimes not even a single time when I'm busy with other important things. Also, I don't spend so many hours in front of a computer in a day.
Your smartphone comes in here and intermittently you can still claim the faucet when the alarm goes off without abandoning your work.

I always accumulate my reward points to exchange them for a free BTC bonus (3200 RP = 1000 %), than you can gain +/- 250 satoshi/free roll.
Is it worth to get those? I do not really think that it is really worth, may be if you are having so much time to claim it every hour then may be this is good.
I disabled lottery ticket and just receive reward points instead, accumulated 150k RP so far
I'll just think of it as locked savings without interest, if I have it on my balance I'm just going to lose it on multiply btc
but I'm still getting tickets from playing multiply btc, so I don't lose my chance completely on weekly lottery

Why? You can get lottery tickets from claiming their faucet right? And that is somehow I can say worth because you do not need to spend any of your coin to get that. And you said you are going to lose any amount in your balance if you pkay their hi-lo games so why are you playing it to get those tickets? Does not make sense on what you are saying here. What I can say here, if you tend to losing your money and getting tickets then it is better to spend all your entire balance on tickets and hope you will get the prize
Choices would vary here its either he would spend all those on buying tickets or would tend to lose it all on hi-lo game. The difference here is that he wont able to get some enjoyment on lottery but rather have the chance on hitting jackpot but yet not an assurance to hit it. Its his choice since its his balance after all. Claiming faucet do really give you some lottery tickets.

I don't often claim more than 12-15 times a day, so these bonuses aren't worth their price for me. I keep my RP until I reach 100k to convert them.

Actually you do not need to stay in front of your PC so many hours as you can just visit and claim it every hour. You can even open it with your mobile, it takes maybe less than a minutes to claim freeroll every hour. Indeed it is our own preferences, I also do not really often claim the freeroll here. Probably no more than 20 claims every week, I just do it whenever I want as I do not want to force myself to claim it as many as possible.
