I thought about that one too. The site doesn't actually force you to provide an email address you can just set up an account with a BTC withdrawal address. When I first joined auto-withdrawal was enabled by default, not sure if it still is, but I just hope that they got a very pleasant surprise either by email or an unexpected transaction arriving.

Yes lottery winners have email notice (someone posted a screen shot of it somewhere), but he may have used a junk email just to create an account and confirm it. I hope he didn't though and that he/she noticed (s)he won the big prize.

It is only impossible to win the lottery if you don't have any ticket. When you have just one, it is quite unlikely but not impossible.

There are 10 winners each week out of more than 7 million accounts (not all active, I agree, but some are). Most players aren't registered here on bitcointalk, for proof chech the "Big wins at freebitco.in" thread in micro-section subforum : lot of $20 winners are newbies that have just registered here to claim $5 more.
So I'm not sure a lot of us ever won a prize at the lottery.
And if I ever win a prize, would I tell everyone here that I'm 2BTC richer? Not sure, as some people would spam my inbox.

I do even sure that those 10 and 22 tickets were not bought tickets, it must be just free tickets from claiming the free btc (faucet). This is what we call by luck, no one can beat other's luck even though others has more money to buy lottery tickets. Just keep on trying on this lottery and wish our luck will come in the future.
