Mining looks interesting, we can choose to mine with 10% of cpu power and not fry it  Grin
Btw what are we mining with CPU?
I can't find any info on site.

It's probably mining Monero, as it has the best profit for CPU mining.

TIME and WAVE COINs TO REMEMBER
In the past i was addicted to faucets specially freebitco.in at that time i spent more than 8 hours working to generate free reward wishing every time to get 0.05 bitcoin but i realize later after i have been paid for translation work with bitcoin that all faucets is a waste of time.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
is there any 2fa in your site? like google authenticator for a more secure account?
Yes they have 2fa
2fa is good for security but remember not to lose the 2fa device. One of my close friend has the 2fa for freebitco  on his mobile via google authenticator. One day accidentally he lost the mobile and face a lot of trouble signing in to the website. Nevertheless after a week's hard work, he was able to get his account back.

My home server is running 24/7 and my browser stopped mining yesterday although I was still logged in to freebitco.in
How is that possbile? Known issue?

It is still a new feature so only admin should know the how to fix it, it is better to send issue details to admin to get the right answer. Earlier there was an option to choose browser not to refresh but it is not seen now. It looks like they are doing some improvements on this new feature so better send all your findings directly to admin.

I caught 9999 2 times, but I never caught 10000...I hope I will ever be lucky Wink
I love Freebitco.in Smiley

Rolling 9999 2 times is quite lucky already, others might not be lucky as you to hit that number. My highest rolled number was 9990 only and it was few years ago when I was new to know about bitcoin.

I think running at 10% is not safe for the most of the users who don't have at least air-condition on in their room because your PC/laptop can easily heat up high at normal room temperature and if you run at that high temp then it is not safe for your PC.

What on earth could make anyone think that? I repeat again they will quite happily run at 100% unless there is something abnormal to cause overheating. By abnormal I mean it would require that a) The airflow is blocked in some way like the heatsink being clogged with dusk or the computer air inlets are blocked and b) The sensors that monitor the CPU temperature for protection systems are faulty.

You could run a CPU at 100% 24/7 and it will still be running many years after it has been made obsolete by several new generations of chips.

Again if you reduce to 20 or 30% then your earning will be the very negligible amount.

This is designed to be used by someone who is already claiming from the faucet and add a few extra satoshis to their account. It does exactly what it is supposed to do.

If you run it in the background then your PC will slow down and your other work also may slow down. I also don't know how it will affect my PC function in the long run for utilizing CPU power always at higher side. I don't think it is worth at least for myself and don't want to risk my PC to earn these small amounts of bitcoins.

I did quite a bit of testing on this and setting the mining at 20% had no noticeable impact on anything I use on a day to day basis. It really is quite odd that anyone could be worried about the impact of using a processor to do processing. As long as it is properly cooled and the safety cutout systems are all working to prevent overheating running at 100% is perfectly safe. Running at 20~30% is just normal usage.

I just run a small test on my laptop which is the latest spec and 32 GB ram and run for one hour continuously with 100 threads and 100% CPU usage and my hash rate was around 75 H/s got around 120+ Santoshi and which I think very less for the electricity we spend for running one hour. But it may be good for people where they get cheat electricity.

I think the best idea is to run it in the background while you are using your PC for something else so it's only costing a little extra electricity in the CPU. Doing this it is running at about breakeven on my 4-year-old i5 so something more modern like you are talking about should be running in profit.

You are absolutely right just for very few satoshies taking too much risk is not good idea admin need to do some other idea for increasing income this can effect many members I am also not in favor of this to take risk like this because this can bring more loss then your income from this site

Running mining page now on my computer, 80% of CPU power and i don't notice any lag in my activities (which are web browsing and working on documents, not very CPU-consuming).
CPU now are regulated, if they heat too much, they lower their max frequency to cool down.

Just tried it for testing on my mobile device...

6 to 7 H/s
6 Threads, 70% CPU usage

5000 Hashes solved but not a single Satoshi  Roll Eyes

Still a nice new Feature. Freebitco.in will always remain the best faucet for me!

you probably need to visit the mining tab again to reflect your mining earnings, i tried to mine with my normal CPU and got less than 5000 hashes solved and shows 0 earnings but when i refreshed after 5 mins it shows i earned 2satoshis
How is this working because all members have no access to this section so its working by area or what can any one give update about this I am also interesting in this but not showing in my account

i believe its just a waste of electricity if you let your computer ON just to mine, but if you are mining in the background while doing something like your work or so it might be a little helpful for some users
