Yes. Its value is irrelevant to new accounts but it is still relevant to accounts that either wager or have wagered. Under a formally rational look, this is why it has been kept - who wagers is invited not to go away after having lost.

Despite all the problems that freebitco is going through, I would like to ask if the faucet is still working? I remember one of the members mentioned freebitco as one of the reliable faucets in the old days. Of course, it will not give much, but the idea is still active and it certainly generates some profit for its owners. I also read about the existence of other faucets in other currencies.

Bitcoin faucets in its early years were an important way to spread awareness about Bitcoin and how to use it. Aside from mining activities and trading deals, there were no ways available to the public to get some Bitcoin, because even freelance work on the Internet did not yet use Bitcoin payments. It is true that the faucet sites were nothing but pages displaying different products and services within advertising banners, but Bitcoin helped bring traffic to make them profitable sites par excellence and able to attract advertisers. Yeah the free spins have been send out for a couple of days in a row right now but all the other problems are still there. As some other users mentioned, I doubt they will ever credit the lost WOF spins to everybody. So far, the site is still paying which is good but it is not a guarantee also so I would cash out everything you have on the site.

I don't have high expectations about getting lost spins also. Most of my holdings on this site are FUN tokens now which unlocked recently. Everything else is already withdrawn.

The price of FUN dropped recently and I'm feeling reluctant to sell now. Even though the recent message from PR don't give much hope I'm still wondering if there is any chance to get WOF rewards for FUN holding.

Yeah, account selling isn't forbidden or illegal at Freebitco. You may buy the account if you want, but there is always risk involved in such things. Here is a response of TheQuin regarding account buy-sell

I guess I can say that too. My "your benefit level days" is just empty, and I have no benefits in 0 days. WoF/day 0 - cashback 0% - interest 0%. I have to add though that on "earn BTC" tab it shows annual interest rate with +interest and indeed it has worked.

In my opinion, it's worth nothing.

If you claim a bonus, the same amount of bitcoin will be deducted from your balance and it will go to your bonus account.
For example, if you claim a bonus of 0.03 BTC, another 0.03 BTC will be deducted from your balance and you will have 0.06 BTC in your bonus account with the wagering requirement of 1.5 BTC.

Given the high house edge at freebitco, you will probably lose all your bonus account balance before fulfilling the wagering requirement.
