I am sure it would not be a horrible hit for you guys, do not know how much you guys paid it out but in the end you guys have enough customers to keep that profit back up in a few days at the very most I suppose. Even if not, even if it takes a few weeks, it is both a good lesson that you learned and also it is not a make or break for such a gigantic website anyway.

You have managed to keep this website afloat for years now, half a decade at the very least I can remember and you deserve to have some mishaps without any headaches, it just happens, don't worry about it. I "know" wetsuit as well, not really but talked with him way back in the day about some stuff and I know he is a cool dude as well so he wouldn't really care about it too much neither. Keep your chin up, I hope you wouldn't feel too bad about it, it is really not looking like a big deal at all.
Let Wetsuit deduct this loss from TheQuin salary.

Wow that's a nightmare! I thought you set the results manually, is it really automatically?
It was manual. I manually forgot that the round of 16 has started so it's a 2 leg game when I was doing the payouts today.

What do you mean by "meme votes"? If you think that people were just betting 1 satoshi on "More than $1,000,000" just for the fun of it(like I did, btw Smiley ), them you are wrong. People were voting with their money. Look at the current situation:

96 bets are placed on "More than $1,000,000" and 140 on "$5,000 or less", and yet the outcome odds are 5 times higher for "$5,000 or less". That means only one thing: on average, people were placing several-fold higher bets on "More than $1,000,000".
Yes, for me, I think these votes are considered as meme votes as these votes are made for fun and not to be taken seriously. You're right that bets on the "More than $1,000,00" are several-fold higher than those on the other two however, I don't think the the people who place those bets take these bets seriously and really hoping to win.
Again, I'm still happy that there are more bets on the "More than $1,000,000" than for the "$10,000 or less" bets. Hopefully, bitcoin will reach those price sooner.

Even though those are just meme votes, I guess, still it is nice knowing that there are more people believing that bitcoin will reach more than a million dollar rather than those who believe that it will plummet back at 10,000 dollars or less.
Anyway, based on the current status of bitcoin price chart and its past history that has the same chart, I guess that it's price will pump later on but I am not sure if it will reach a new ATH.

TheQuin, why it's paid out already? An error?

Yes, an error, I messed that up. I'm talking to wetsuit about how to resolve it.

Edit. We can't reverse the payouts because some people will have already spent or withdrawn it so we'll just have to take the hit and payout twice if Real Madrid goes through after the second leg.

Thank you for the detailed explanation, now I understand it completely.Still a great offering I would say to people who can permit to risk 1 or 2 Bitcoin as I don't see any banking interest to even come close or compete with such return for one year if you put let's say a Bitcoin with price 43.000 USD you get as an interest after a year 1754 USD as a reward.I would love to see a bank which can do that as in Europe I know for sure there is none, but may be there is in US I don't know.

A great but also illegal offering. BlockFi just agreed to pay $100 million dollars to the SEC because their interest accounts were not compliant with securities regulation. If freebitco.in was fined $100 million there is next to zero chance that any large investor ever gets their BTC back.

Oh, you're back. What happened? Did you spend a few days looking for something positive to do with your life and think that it was too difficult and come back to the pool to take another shit?

Idiotic claims that we are doing something illegal always give me a good laugh. We've been offering interest on Bitcoin balances for over 5 years IIRC. Don't you think if that was of any concern to any authorities in a third country like the US then something would have already happened? Or do you think you're so smart you're the first person in the world to think of it? Have you considered that running a successful business like this for 8 years doesn't just happen by chance? We retain a top law firm to advise us and make sure that everything we do is legal and doesn't fall into any regulated markets.

LOOOL!! Most of the winners only have less than 1,000 tickets. And only 3rd place for the 17millions tickets  Shocked

By the way, it's worth noting that the user in 3rd place wagered more than 45 BTC and won two daily jackpots last week. Therefore, it is not surprising that he had such a huge number of lottery tickets. Although I guess the result of this round of the lottery most likely disappointed him. He collected over 17 million tickets, but he was still beaten by a user who had only 41 tickets. Smiley

You can move from the daily interest stated to the total yearly interest given, by putting days of compounding wanted like 365 into the power of.   So  (1+(daily%/100))^365= yearly compounded interest rate which is the 4% or so you expected to see.

Quote
Daily interest will be calculated at a random time everyday @ 0.01232876% * per day.

1+(0.01232876/100)^365 = 1.046

remove the 1 and if you prefer not to see a decimal do x100 it will be 4.6% which is close to the stated 4.59.   Thats a rounding error I guess though it is 100 dollars difference if you are a millionaire I guess some care, close enough for me

Code:
(1+(0.01232876/100))^365 =
copy paste that to wolfram and click equals at the end, actually google does it just fine also.

Use the same thing for credit cards, they sometimes state interest differently there and obviously it adds up.  So monthly is ^12 and so on.  Yearly interest on a 25 year term mortgage would be ^25 if you want to see how much altering your payments would do to total cost, etc.    There is definitely many websites that will help with simple forms to translate the same things.

Do not forget that you are investing in bitcoin, and not any other fiat thing. So, basically if you invested 1 bitcoin today, at bare mimum 4%, that means in 20 years that will be around 2.25 or so bitcoins. That is bitcoins, not fiat, which means your bitcoin could worth 1 million dollars during that period as well, so you would have invested 45k or so worth today, get 1 bitcoin, and in 20 years you would have 2.25 million dollars instead while all other 1 bitcoin holders would have 1 million dollars.

I believe the biggest increase you could get was 4.40% interest, and that would basically be 2.4 or so as well. So all in all, you will keep on making money while your money also gains value in itself.

Leading Crypto Sports Betting & Casino Platform

There was another insanely lucky lottery winner this week. Second place goes to brand new account 48883257 with an entire history of one WoF spin winning 41 lottery tickets which is now 0.04649464 BTC ~$1,950.

It's great to see these results and these lucky winners, since 2017 I've been playing and drawing these giveaways, but no luck so far, freebitco.in I don't know how it manages to support so many good giveaways and winners, it's for real this is admirable in a platform, and the prizes are always given for what the BTC market goes down, they continue to maintain that winning streak, I simply see Freebitco.in as a great company that continues to grow every day, and it fills me with pride to say that this It was the first crypto platform that I found and that I learned everything that has to do with BTC and cryptocurrencies. If one day, God forbid, if this platform finds itself in trouble and I have a way to help, I will do it without thinking about it.

The first thing that I did is sent pm to TheQuin, but still not answer me.

I sent it today again.

I don't have time to answer everyone individually about every issue. I have already answered here in this thread for everyone to see.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.59152094

But the story is bigger than you think. TheQuin noticed me for sure. I was opened a separate topic about this problem too after TheQuin ignore me. The TheQuin said that I am nothing, cause I a new here and for that don't answer me and the problem is not big and will be resolved(it will be put in task list from TheQuin words.) And after some sabotages from them, the problem still not resolve.

I didn't notice your other thread. Although I can offer support via PM to people who have problems with their account and don't want to post their user ID here I can't offer your own personal ANN thread for general issues through PM or monitor the whole of Bitcointalk to see what other threads you have started.

Edit: I have now had time to check my PMs and I'd just like to advise you that the only thing shouting at me in bold will achieve is getting added to my ignore list.

We did resolve the problem on the email spins but it is more difficult to do on the premium page when there is no captcha. We used an external developer to code the WoF and it works slightly differently in that spin happens before you click spin so a major recoding is required.

One simple question about the interest as it seems unusually high 2.5% if you have at least 12.500 FUN for 30 days and if you have it for one year then it is 10%.I want to ask as I doubt if I put 1 Bitcoin in my Freebitco.in balance I will get 0.10 daily or monthly. That seems really high to me but most probably I have not understood it well because if it does I am going to add a huge chunk of my savings here.So how does interest work here in detail explanation is greatly appreciated.
Base interest is 4,08% annually for everyone. If your interest rate increases 2,5% through FUN holdings, annual interest will be raised to 4,18%. And if it increases 10%, annual interest will go to 4,48%.

You need to add the bonus percentage to the base percentage to reach the correct result (4,08 + 2,5% or 4,08 + 10%).

Correct answer. 10% would be unusually high. It actually says increased 10%.

You don't say anything new.

I already know that in your eyes you are untouchable and for you I am nothing.

And after 6 months the problem is still here, just scam, no other bullshit story.

So if annually is 4.48% with the FUN holdings does this mean that daily increase interest is 4.48% divided by 365 days that we have in a year?

No. That's a compounded APR. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/compoundinterest.asp

Because interest is paid daily it means the next day's interest is calculated on the new higher amount each day. So with the standard 4.08% APR we pay 0.0109589% per day.

0.0109589 * 365 = 3.9999985

But if you had 1 BTC you don't get 0.00010958 BTC every day. You get 0.00010958 BTC the first day but the second day your balance is now 1.00010958 BTC so you get 0.00010960 BTC and so on for 365 days giving a total interest of 0.04080436 BTC.
