Yeah honestly I wasn't expecting PSG to be this amazing after Mbappe left the team. But I was missing a point. Relying on a specific player is mostly a bad thing. It prevents a good teamwork at a high rate.  Sad  Since he left, the team have been destroying every single opponent they face. Of course there is still a big quality gap between them and the rest of the Ligue 1 teams. But the way they play is very promising.

Now when it comes to the Champions League... Their fixture is quite tough. However I still expect last 16 from PSG. Because they will probably play way better than Mbappe era.  Wink
Since the beginning I predicted that there would be 2 possibilities that Paris Saint Germain would experience after their valuable players left, the first is that they will slump because they are not used to playing without star players and the second is that they will be better because they can maximize teamwork, and that's what we see at least until the 2nd week. They can actually show something better than before. However, they still have a bigger job, namely they must be able to maintain the consistency of the game that they managed to show at the beginning, because if not they will decline. Also they must prepare to play in the Champions League. In terms of challenges, the Champions League will be more challenging for them, because there will be many strong teams they will face.

So far PSG have started the season perfectly, 10 goals in 2 match is a really good statistic.
Many people think that PSG's goal productivity this season will decrease greatly when they are left behind by Kylian Mbappe, but in fact this is not true. If PSG can maintain this kind of performance in Ligue 1, then they will retain the Ligue 1 title this season.

Losing 1 player (even if he's important) will not reduce the overall performance of the team, that's what we saw with PSG and Barcelona in the past when their MSN trio left the team. The strong tradition of winning Ligue 1 is held by PSG, it will be difficult to replace considering that the owner of PSG makes football one of the industries he's serious about, their next match is against Lille, Lille is currently in 2nd place in the standings, there's no doubt that PSG will win that match though playing away.

Now, do you really believe PSG can qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League when they are drawn against the following teams?

Home: Manchester City, Atlético Madrid, PSV Eindhoven and Girona.
Away: Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Salzburg and Stuttgart.

Yes, I do. In fact, I still believe they can go to the quarter-finals, semi-finals and even the final, I just can't believe that PSG won the UCL Cheesy.
It is too early for us to say that the loss of Mbappe does not have a big influence on PSG, indeed in the last two matches PSG was able to win with an absolute score over its opponents but we also do not deny that teams like le havre and montpellier are not strong teams that have been able to make it difficult for PSG so far, in my opinion the sharpness shown by PSG in the two matches is none other than due to the weak defense owned by the opposing team and I'm quite sure that PSG may have a very difficult time if they face a team that has a solid defense later, indeed so far we cannot rule out that PSG is the only team that has a great chance to win Ligue 1 but I really hope that there will be a team that at least will be able to make it difficult for PSG to win Ligue 1 this season.

In ligue 1 of course we cannot doubt the capacity possessed by PSG to become champions, but in the champions league of course we cannot expect much from them at the moment, in the draw that was carried out yesterday PSG has joined a strong European team in the league phase, I think PSG journey is currently very difficult and it may even be difficult for them to be able to qualify for the next round if they have to face a team like Manchester City, Atlético Madrid, PSV Eindhoven, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, maybe only Salzburg, Girona and Stuttgart can be easy opponents for them.

I was never thinking that if Mbappe was our problem. The decision to let him leave from the club gave us more intensity in our gameplay. There was no selfishness in our club after he went to Madrid. I think that we have a winner now. No club in League One can fight against our squad.

PSG does always have chance to qualify for the top 16 even if they got a very strict group. I still stick to the same scenario as last season. They got a tough group, but they can still qualify.

Home: Manchester City, Atlético Madrid, PSV Eindhoven and Girona.

Away: Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Salzburg and Stuttgart.

Here's my pick for the possible opponents of PSG in UCL Group stage.

Pot 1: Madrid & Leipzig

Pot 2: Arsenal & Atletico Madrid

Pot 3: PSV & Salzburg

Pot 4: Aston Villa & bologna

Ligue 1 will not be able to be dominated by other teams this season because PSG is still a strong team without Mbappe in it, but the size of PSG's strength will be truly measured when PSG competes in the Champions League this season. Because in Ligue 1 there is still no one who is able to break the power and dominance of PSG even though PSG is no longer strengthened by Mbappe and I was never surprised by PSG's two wins at the start of this League because other teams are still unable to match the strength that PSG has this season.
When it was announced that Kylian Mbappe is going to leave Paris Saint Germaine at the end of last season, a lot of people were of the opinion that the club will struggle both in the league and in Europe but I was quick to remind everyone in this thread about the depth in the Paris Saint Germaine squad and why they'll continue to dominate French football even in the absence of their former striker Mbappe. Their results in the domestic games they've played so far this season have actually authenticated my opinion of them.
The strength of the team will be greatly tested in the UEFA Champions League competition and that's were we can ascertain if Paris Saint Germaine is better without Kylian Mbappe or not. Marseille I think will do well this season but I don't expect them to match the success of the French champions in the league.
Yes, Mbappe departure from PSG will not really affect their performance in Ligue 1 even though this is an opportunity for other teams to be condition that makes it easier for them to become PSG competitors in the fight for the championship title.
But all of this will be clearly visible and affect PSG performance when they are in an important competition like the UCL, we all know how Mbappe performance is and his departure will certainly be very difficult for PSG to compete in the UCL competition.
Several PSG players who have always been Mbappe colleagues before have now also shown how great they are to continue to perform optimally in every Ligue 1 match and hopefully in the future when they play for the UCL competition they can show their performance again like when they were here, although I not sure but I want to see it.

Although teams like Lille, Lens, and Monaco currently have the same points as PSG, it is only temporary. Because the strength of the three clubs will not be consistent, this is different from PSG who have a good squad and a good coach. So I think there is nothing wrong with assessing that PSG will easily get the League 1 trophy this season because other teams will not be able to compete with PSG. PSG's dominance is still very strong in League 1, one of the reasons other teams are unable to compete is of course because of financial limitations.

Moreover, looking at PSG's performance in the last two matches, they have been more productive in scoring goals, even many believe that PSG will have difficulty scoring goals after Mbappe left, but on the contrary, PSG without Mbappe played more freely, more collectively, so that the game ran harmoniously and was able to score more goals. This can be seen in the last two matches, PSG managed to score nine goals and only conceded one goal.
The power gap is still clearly visible, PSG financial strength makes the competition for the Ligue 1 trophy easy for them. It is true, the consistency achieved by other Ligue 1 contestants is likely to be temporary, and in the future we will see the standings reformed with a large points gap, which is no different from last season. I hope this season Marseille can be one of the surprise teams, because they have been active in the transfer window and have a quality manager. Monaco and Lille seem to have difficulty, because they are faced with a tight match schedule in the Champions League.

On the other hand, PSG management seems to be really trying to change their transfer policy, they are no longer trying to recruit high-priced star players. So far Enrique has still been able to make PSG perform consistently even though Mbappe has left, and it seems Enrique is quite satisfied with the players who are currently available. We'll see if PSG can perform well in the Champions League without Mbappe, which is clear that it will be difficult to realize.

As I often say, PSG's game is much more solid in every line and much more fluid, not focusing on one player like when Mbappe was still at the club, losing Mbappe can be said to be a good thing this season PSG is more productive in terms of goals.
yes if we talk about PSG's current opponents in week 3 of league 1, I am still optimistic that PSG can win at Lille's home later, but Lille also cannot be underestimated by every opponent including PSG, most likely Lille will give a surprise in the match later, and PSG must be more focused in this match if not Lille can steal points.
This observation of yours applies mainly in their recent pattern but if it were to be before, I will definitely not be agreeing with your as I will prove it otherwise as the had a good percentage of dependency as at that time of certain key players, probably they have see how disadvantageous it's been and now trying a better model to their strategy and tactics so as to see how productive it may turn out for them this season. At liles home PSG may have some struggles because looking at lilies performance this season, it's enough not to for any reason see them any less of a team as they can be able to achieve a whole lot of they add some improvement and consistency to their performance so far.

I saw PSG's overall performance in the two matches. The squad does not have a big star player like Mbappe. However, with the help of Luis Enrique, PSG have managed to build a stable squad capable of performing well. Scoring 10 goals in two matches was not an easy task. Even if the opposition is relatively weak, it is very difficult to score 10 goals in two matches.

It won't be easy for PSG to do well in the Champions League. But I guess PSG team will be able to win home matches against Girona and PSV. On the other hand, away matches against Salzburg and Stuttgart won't be difficult. But it is very difficult to win against Munich and Arsenal. However, Bayern Munich are not in good form this season. So it cannot be said that PSG win against Bayern Munich is unlikely.

Lille and Monaco also started well and have the same number of points as PSG, I think it is too early to draw such conclusions, and most likely this happens based on the results of previous seasons, when other teams could not keep up with the pace with which PSG moved. The reason for this is also the financial capabilities of the team, no one can compare with PSG in this, so the absence of Mbappe will not be a problem for PSG, or any other player who wants to leave the team, because they will be able to take their place several others, perhaps no worse.

After Mbappe left PSG, I thought PSG would be an average team again and other teams would be able to match them. But 2 wins with 10 goals and 1 conceded made me think that this season it seems like PSG has become a solid team and plays collectively as a team, not just making one person as a target man. PSG's gameplay in the first 2 league matches really surprised me. It was beyond my expectation. The next match is against LOSC, a team that also collected 6 points. It will be an interesting match. But it seems that with PSG's current performance it will still be difficult for other teams to beat their dominance in Ligue 1.

Yeah the number of goals scored by PSG is wonderful so far and they have to continue that way, otherwise it will be a heated game against Lille indeed.
Le Havre wasn't a top team so scoring 4 goals against them wasn't surprising. For Montpellier, it was a bit bizarre to see them taking 6 goals from PSG without scoring any. When it comes to Lille, I know they will try to not receive goals at home so PSG might not be able to score as usual but they shouldn't also fall into their trap and end with a draw. That would be a fine result for Lille.

With the presence of Roberto De Zerbi and the active transfer moves of Marseille, I am predicting that the club will be able to compete with PSG this season. They had a disappointing draw with Reims, which made them lose two points. Olympique de Marseille lost that game because they wasted lots of opportunities. They had twenty-one shots and eleven were on target. Yehvann Diouf Reims made nine saves thereby denying the home side of a deserved win. De Zerbi agreed that there is much work to be done, especially in the attack. Any club that is wasteful upfront won't achieve much.

The perfect starts by Lille, Monaco and Lens have seen them pick up points like PSG have, but these teams have always failed to maintain their form after entering the mid-season or second quarter which has seen PSG comfortably sit at the top of the table. The competition in Ligue 1 is not as competitive as the EPL, Serie A and La Liga because the strength that PSG has cannot be matched by other clubs. The comfort that PSG feels in Ligue 1 makes it difficult for them to compete in the UCL, due to too often getting relatively weaker opponents, they always fail in the UCL because the opponents they face there are top teams from various leagues.

To judge PSG cannot be done by the results they will get in the Champions League later because after all, when Mbappe was still at PSG, PSG actually got bad results in the Champions League. So, the Champions League cannot be used as a benchmark for PSG's quality with and without Mbappe because if this season PSG still gets bad results in the Champions League, then basically it's the same result as in previous seasons. But indeed, if this season PSG gets good results in the Champions League then it can be said that PSG is better without Mbappe.

Regarding being too early or not judging PSG in Ligue 1, I think there's nothing wrong because after all, in the previous season PSG also got bad results at the beginning of the season. But as time went by, Mbappe last season managed to make PSG recover quickly and still get the Ligue 1 trophy.

So, even though at this moment Lille, Monaco and Lens all managed to get two wins like PSG got but after all, in reality PSG is better with a total of more goals. So, it is not wrong to say that PSG continues to dominate Ligue 1 because after all, PSG managed to be at the top of the standings at the start of this season with a total of 10 goals from just two matches played.

Entering the 3rd week of Ligue 1 this season, Paris Saint Germain will face LOSC. In my opinion, this will be an interesting match that will take place in the 3rd week. They are a club that can achieve maximum results in the previous 2 matches, so their meeting will determine who among them will continue to win and who will have to accept their first defeat, or they will share points in this match. I expect a lot from LOSC in this match, because if they can hold a draw or even give Paris Saint Germain a defeat, it will arouse the passion of competition in Ligue 1. Because you can imagine how difficult it is to break the dominance of Paris Siant Germain in the last few seasons, so if they can be defeated in this match, it will open the tap of enthusiasm for other clubs.
PSG start is very impressive this season and their current records is scores 10 goals from 2 matches so these statistics is proven PSG is more dangerous compared to last season and i can see their forward players such as Bradley Barcola, Marco Asensio and Ousmane Dembele in the good shape and onfire especially Bradley Barcola that he is currently PSG top scorer in Ligue 1 with 3 goals and these situation makes me thinking that PSG is not necessary anymore to find the replacement of Mbappe

About the match against Lille this week if we see based on head to head statistics PSG was unbeated since 2021 even PSG has been gets win with big scores several times from Lille and i think PSG has good chances to resumes their positive results from Lille considering PSG is really on fire and i think PSG will win again and most likely win with big scores and here is the current odds for them below

PSG doesn't have any big team and other teams don't have any big strikers, so PSG will do much better with this team that PSG currently has in their local league. But we will not get the same performance from PSG this season as we got from PSG in the Champions League last season because Mbappe was one of the best players in the Champions League, that Mbappe is now playing for Real Madrid. One by one, key players left PSG and every transfer season saw PSG playing a quiet role but when Mbappe left we thought maybe they would buy more players but still they are quiet.

Since they are not doing well in the Champions League despite their efforts, maybe now they won't spend extra money on any player. If they do well in the Champions League, they don't have a problem.
