This is what I expected of French Ligue 1, not a league that is hugely get dominated by just one team, and the worst case sometimes, Is seeing them "PSG" win their league even when it's clear that they're not even in form that very season to lift the trophy, seeing Monaco and Marseille come up this season is quite making that side of league become more interesting this very season, I will be glad to see Monaco maintain this position to the end of the season, because right now PSG no longer has a threatening super star player in their team to be fearful of the club.
PSG is so confident in the France league that they have not worried much about winning the league title so far. Until last season they have single-handedly dominated the France league and won the local league tournament every season but the opposite may happen this time. PSG have had a number of players leave as opposed to buying players and relying on the players at their club but now that they are not doing very well against other teams they may be stressing that they should have signed some players.  However, if a new team wins the league in France, other teams will be motivated to do better and the league games will be more competitive. Now the only thing to be seen is whether PSG can maintain their title streak or another team will win the title this season.

I don't think they will have a hard time against Strasbourg, to be honest. Paris Saint-Germain is by far the best team in the French league right now. They are currently in second place because of Monaco's very good performance. However, in a fight that will continue until the end of the season, they could be the winners. I can't think of any team other than Paris Saint-Germain that could win the championship in the French league. Monaco will make things a bit tough for them this year, but I think PSG will be the champions at the end of the year.
Been the best in the Ligue 1 is something almost everyone knows about PSG but that isn't a guarantee they will be wining Strasbourg, its very possible they will not have a tough time but on the other hand, they may aswell not get lucky enough to win as there have been cases as such having bigger and better teams against smaller teams and still struggle, mind you I'm not disputing the fact that PSG is more favored in this fixture and has got a much better chance than their opponent, I'm just spelling out the room for some benefits of doubt which i know does takes place in times when they become necessary,
On paper Paris Saint Germain are the favorites in this match, and not only in this match because they are also the favorites in almost all Ligue 1 matches and they are also the first favorites to win the title every season. But I agree with you that it does not guarantee that they will be able to win when facing Strasbourg. Their chances of winning are indeed big, but if they experience unwanted things then it is not impossible that Strasbourg will be the winner in this match. Other factors besides the game such as luck might be an obstacle for them to win. But for betting, it is clear that they are a club worth betting on.

PSG is the only strongest team in Ligue 1, so it is quite natural that they remain strong candidates in winning the championship trophy every season, even when currently Monaco and Marseille have risen and are considered title contenders this season, but it is undeniable that PSG chances for winning the league are still greater than other teams including Monaco and Marseille, Indeed so far Monaco and Marseille have been able to provide tighter and more interesting competition in league but we cannot guarantee if they can do it until the end of the season or no, consistency is the biggest problem that currently has PSG rival team and it continues to happen every season so that PSG is very free to win Ligue 1,  the consistency and qualified squad owned by PSG have been their weapon so far in dominating the league.

This weekend we will see the excitement of the competition between Monaco, PSG and Marseille.
Monaco will face Lille and statistically both teams have the same results but in terms of consistency, Monaco is favored by bookmakers and if in the match Monaco only gets a draw or gets 3 full points, Monaco will still lead League 1.
And for PSG on paper it is very easy to beat Strasbourg. Because PSG can always beat and have the weaknesses of the team and I am sure PSG can get full points. But unfortunately it will still be below Monaco.
After that, Marseille is guaranteed to get a win when Montpellier is currently performing very poorly.

And these are the odds of the favorite team this weekend.

I think PSG has the upper hand to win against Strasbourg if you look at their general performance this season, PSG has had some poor result in their recent matches but i don't think it should affect their performance against Strasbourg when they play at home. Luis Enrique will not want to drop points again having dropped points in the last game and looking at the results of Strasbourg since the beginning of the season you could see that they have played more of draws so in the game PSG will definitely do their possible best avoid Strasbourg holding them to a draw at home and since they will be playing in front of their fans they will have enough motivation to Strasbourg.
Enrique needs to get some wins to get his spirit back, in the last games it doesn't seem like the main problem was the poor attacking play, although in the match against Arsenal and especially in the match against Nice they created a lot of chances that should have been goals. Sometimes it happens that the ball doesn't want to fly into the opponent's goal, we saw the same problem with PSG in the Champions League, when they had difficulties scoring, I hoped that PSG got rid of this problem, but it seems that its manifestations are still there.

In addition to having to maintain their impressive performance since the start of the season, Monaco also hopes that PSG will lose many points in the next match. Topping the standings with a two-point advantage over PSG is something extraordinary that Monaco players have shown this season, perhaps the scenario that happened in the Bundesliga last season will repeat itself in Ligue 1, and if this really happens, then Luis Enrique's reputation will be further damaged because so far PSG has always managed to dominate Ligue 1. Marseille and Reims can also disrupt PSG's dominance, until week 7 there has been no significant difference in points in the top four positions. Changes in position can still occur depending on their performance. I can say, Ligue 1 this season is more competitive than the previous season.
PSG will get a fairly equal condition this season because there are many teams that will try to stop their dominance this season and this has been seen when PSG visited Nice's headquarters and the match result was a draw. Now with two points behind Monaco, of course PSG will feel quite heavy pressure because several other teams also have points that are not too far from PSG so that the level of fierce competition in Ligue1 this season will be much greater than last season. I also hope that Monaco and Marseille can be more consistent in winning their matches this season in the Ligue1 competition so that the condition of Ligue1 this season becomes more interesting.

[..]PSG as a host will playing against Strasbourg and i think the analysis isn't required more for this match because certainly PSG is much better than Strasbourg especially Strasbourg status in Ligue 1 is only small team and i think this is easy match for PSG because Strasbourg is weak team so i am sure PSG will win and my prediction for the final scores of this match is 1-0 or 2-0 for PSG
From the depth of the squad, strength statistics and past history, Strasbourg is not a tough opponent for PSG in the sense that it is easy to get 3 points, that should be what Luis Enrique's squad does in the match later, but then again this is about football where everything will not go according to plan and you have to see this season Strasbourg only experienced 1 loss, 2 wins, 4 draws and in the previous match they were able to win over Marseille although it cannot be a benchmark, they still have a chance to hold a draw at PSG's home.

Paris Saint Germain is the best team in Ligue 1, I think we already know that in general and it will be very difficult to break their dominance, because they are a team that has everything, from finance, player composition and so on. It is difficult to expect them to decline so that Ligue 1 has tight competition, what we hope is to see other teams improve so that they can be at the same level as Paris Saint Germain, or at least they are not far from Paris Saint Germain in terms of game level. Now there is the name Monaco who can be at the top of the standings, this is good news, because at least the hope of seeing tight competition appears. Apart from Monaco, there is also the name Marseille who is currently playing quite well.
Competitive competition will shape PSG into a team to be reckoned with in the Champions League. AS Monaco and Marseille seem to have the ability to increase the intensity of the competition that we mean, so that PSG will be under pressure every week. In the long term, this will benefit PSG, because they are no longer in their comfort zone, which has so far prevented them from competing in a more difficult competition, namely the Champions League. After the international break, AS Monaco efforts to continue to survive at the top of the standings will be tested by Lille and Nice. If they fail, then PSG will return to the top as usual. Meanwhile, AS Monaco has performed better than PSG in the Champions League, they are unbeaten so far, in this case they deserve praise.

Do you see the way Barcola performs this season? He is like reborn right?  Grin

Let's take a look at his statistics:

Just look at the difference between these two seasons. A huge one... Mbappe's departure really helped him start shining. Because you know how much Mbappe was at the centre of their game. It is really not good for young talents like Barcola. Now he is free and taking the opportunity really nicely.  Cool  He is only 22 years old now. I think he is PSG's future as long as he keeps going like this.

Especially as long as they don't start relying on a player again like they did with Mbappe. Of course having such player is great but if you don't have a good team effort then it doesn't matter at all.

Barcola is still performing amazingly so far. He reminds me of young Mbappé. He's young, energetic, and very clinical when he is on the ball. And he has a good work rate off the ball as well.

No doubt that his price is going up drastically. He has been nominated to be the new Mbappé. But, at his current rate, he may be worth £100m or more.

Mbappé's departure helped him get more game time in the main squad. He's not overshadowed by Mbappé like last season. We could develop him to be the next Mbappé.

And, FYI, PSG is not becoming a centered a player anymore. They looked like a solid team after they parted ways with mbappe.

I don't think PSG is a little bad because this is what football fans expect in league 1 to see competitive competition without the dominance of 1 team and without Mbappe. In fact, PSG is still very consistent without being defeated and has been able to score 21 goals. This is a very good result and currently Monaco is indeed at the top of the standings but I believe whatever happens PSG will easily shift it again. As you said in the upcoming match PSG has an easier opponent and Monaco will certainly find it a little difficult to get full points to beat Lille.
Taking away the dominance from around a particular team will literally bring to live the essence of competition in a league and that mainly could actually be the thing with the Ligue 1 that awe can see taking place of which i will say i find really ideal. Having good contention from other teams around in the Ligue 1 will really get the other teams seeing the possibility of breaking the dominance of the particular team that has enjoyed it for the longest you can ever think in the Ligue 1.  Monaco been at the top is beginning to give that perception that its possible the emergence of a new form of dominance but they don't seem to me like the right team for the job.

AS Monaco needs a miracle to break PSG dominance in Ligue 1, they must maintain their unbeaten record for a long time, although not necessarily throughout the season, in order to successfully seize the trophy from PSG. This is like the scenario that Leverkusen once did against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. Many people hope that it can happen, so that Ligue 1 looks like a competitive league, and not boring to follow. Marseille actually also has the potential to compete for the trophy, expectations for them this season have increased after appointing De Zerbi as manager. If we are realistic, PSG is still a team that is difficult to beat by all Ligue 1 contestants, although so far their consistency has stumbled a little due to two draws.

The same as Monaco this season if he can appear consistently then he can break PSG's dominance but we'll see at their second meeting in January if Monaco can beat PSG at home it could widen the gap between Monaco and PSG at the top of the standings.

Greenwood has been the best player Manchester United have even if he doesn't play for the club due to the loan spell, I feel he has made a good account of himself and no UTD play is up to his level. Playing for Marseille has really elevated the club and they have been more dominant than they used to as of last season. I won't say they would have won the league without Greenwood, they couldn't get past PSG because they never had what it took to bypass PSG to become Champions and having a player like Greenwood made the team (Marseille) to be more productive and a better contender in the Ligue 1 to withstand the current Champions, we can see the change he brought to the team and is good that way for PSG to find it hard to win the league, it shouldn't be them all the time.

What do you mean by Greenwood has been the best player that Manchester united have? Was Greenwood extraordinary when playing at Manchester united? Or was he performing better than those he met or left there? For goodness sake, Greenwood was and still an average player despite his current stats. Even with his current performance, I don't know who he can bench at Manchester united now if he should return. The fact he's seemingly doing well in where he is presently doesn't make him better than any United players. His performance at Manchester united is what people are using to judge him and not at somewhere else. Before going to Marseille, they were not doing too bad that we'll assume Greenwood revived them.

Can you for ones see those guys at Man UTD now? How they play even the ones they bought with a high price, can they be compared to Greenwood (in the attacking department) even if you see him as am average player? Greenwood stopped playing for UTD for a long time while he was on his case and ever since then he never played football but the other UTD players have been playing and all that but till this very moment they couldn't perform more than someone who have off football for long, he does better than all of them out together. As it is Greenwood is still a Manchester United player and his performance during his loan spell in the Spanish league and in the Ligue 1 currently has been extraordinarily wonderful, who in the UTD squad that have done better than him this season? Is it Rashford, Anthony, Garnacho or the newly signed Joshua Zirkzee or Rasmus Hojlund? Non has played anything close to what Greenwood has been playing.
If he should get his spot back to the Red Devils team he can bench almost all those players I mentioned and we shouldn't use what happened to judge the young man, Greenwood is one hell of a great player, if Man UTD board could drop the act and let him join the team instead of loaning him I believe the team would be a bit reasonable in the attacking line. You have to admit that Manchester United have not been brilliant since the beginning of this campaign and they can't even get a 3 straight win.

The draw against Nice was quite surprising, I think there are a few problems with them that make them not get a win in this match and that's why PSG can't get a goal, even the equalizer goal is an own goal, I don't know why, maybe they hid their strength or basically Nice played quite well, looking at the statistics of the Nice match is not so interesting to see because PSG dominated the match, it's just that this draw I can't accept it, Monaco is at the top of the table with 2 points difference, the next match against Strasbourg don't make any more mistakes even though they are a weak team but they can threaten PSG.

No one hides their strength. because that is the result that PSG got. although Nice was never favored when facing PSG, but they did a strong defense in the match. and it was difficult for PSG to score.
It is not easy to face a very dominant team like PSG. even with 72% ball possession and 19 shooting opportunities made, PSG did not win the match. it must be frustrating for PSG players, but this is a fairly positive result for Nice.

I just don't understand Kolo Muani and Dembele playing so dull, maybe because the Nice defense defended tightly and didn't give PSG attackers more opportunities to shoot dangerously at them, 19 shots were only 8 aimed at Bulka's goal, fortunately Mendes' hard kick bounced off Bombito's feet and could penetrate the Nice defense to equalize, I think maybe they are quite tired, the control of the match does not provide more opportunities for them to get more goals, this is a sign that they have to retrain the front line or find new players to perfect their attack.

Facing a team with a strong defense and even with a game scheme where almost all the players are defensive, is not easy. where the space for the attackers to move will be smaller and that makes the opportunities that can be created even smaller. we see several matches like this and the solution is usually made by players who have the courage to shoot from outside the penalty box or try to create opportunities from violations in the penalty box. PSG also did it several times in that match.

You are also right about their attack line, they need improvements in the attack line. especially to compete in the Champions League.
besides that, I think they also need smart midfielders to flow the ball to their attackers.

PSG haven't won three out of their last five games against Strasbourg mean a lot in this game, they have almost 70% chance of winning the game because they will be playing at home, they will also be playing aggressively because they were unable to any of their last two games; one was a defeat from Arsenal while the painful one was the draw they played against Nice in their last League one match which dropped them their first position by given Monaco chance to give them two points gap.

PSG should win this match, but Luize Enrique need to focus because the way Monaco is playing this season, they can challenge them for the title which we have started seeing and they can succeed because they have set of young talented players that are very good.

It looks like Bradley Barcola will be a long-term PSG player, because Bradley Barcola's contract at PSG is recorded until 2028 and if Bradley Barcola is consistent with the fertility of making goals like this, then of course PSG already has a replacement for Mbappe. Because after all, at this time Bradley Barcola is also a player who is at the top of the standings in the Ligue 1 top scorer list. Not only that, because for the French national team also Bradley Barcola has so far been fairly impressive with the acquisition of goals he has in the French national team.

But yes, although at this moment at least PSG is not focused on just one player as before when it was still with Mbappe but, if Bradley Barcola manages to make a big contribution then I'm sure over time Bradley Barcola will also be the main focus of PSG just like what happened to Mbappe before.
