Irrespective of the top class players they signed recently, I don consider PSG a strong team in Europe. am not perturbed at seeing PSG performance in Europa competitions. maybe They will make it someday, I believe. Reason I say PSG will make it some day is that there will come a time when they will be facing a different club in the round of 16 or nock out stage, cuz what I noticed in these past year's is that PSG always face Bayern in all champion league, and it is always unlucky for them. PSG as it stands is a team from a very weak league. irrespective of being a champion in their local league,  they can't make it in Europa competitions if they keep meeting clubs like Bayern Munich or any other top clubs from a stronger league in Europe

Lyon vs Nantes both teams fell short of expectations this year.  I see Lyon advantageous as they are the hosts in the match they will play against each other.  Of course, if Nantes wins, that might be normal after all.  Nantes is very weak in terms of performance.  Lyon, on the other hand, wants to rise to the top.  I'm sure the game will be enjoyable.

It's kind of strange to talk about the winning mentality of Messi when he's been criticized throughout his career for "disappearing" in the big games and those games when things don't go according to plan. PSG is certainly weak and not at the level of Real Madrid, Bayern and other tops, but with a successful draw, they could reach the semi-finals or even the final.

Agree, PSG is still not strong enough to be able to go further in the Champions League, because the winning mentality must be built as a team and not individually like only with Messi. I disagree, actually, the reason of why PSG lost to the champions league is the bad playing style of their coach, they currently have good players and with these players, we expected to see PSG even beat Bayern Munich but they failed and the reason is PSG usually compare with teams in French league there you can't find any strong team with superstars while they win these games in the league but they fail great games in the champions league.

But IMO, PSG's defeat in the Champions League was not only the fault of the players. however, the strategy that Galtier employs. we see, since Marquinhos was replaced due to injury, PSG's defense line has started to experience problems. plus, what about when PSG was unable to get out of the pressing by the Bayern players. also, the times when Verratti was late to help out in defense and when he made blunders. Then, Bayern's first goal was created.

I have said many times, actually PSG has a decent line of defense. actually, they have enough experience. it's just that, they won't be able to work optimally if the midfielders play badly. yes, be it a pivot or an attacking midfielder owned by PSG. however, from my point of view, the implementation of the system that Galtier implemented was not effective. because, if he has a good system. whatever the formation, pattern, PSG players can still play optimally.

@Alanaz the price for this elimination will be paid by their head coach who’s bound to be sacked once this season ends, and on top of it I’m hearing rumours that they’ll be selling/letting go of their few player’s and thus I believe that Messi could probably depart. Furthermore I won’t be surprised if Neymar is also sold, because it’s clear that he’s not enjoying life at PSG and it’s best for all the parties involved that he’s sold.

To be honest, I wasn't surprised by their failure in the Champions League, because I saw that they weren't really ready to compete at a higher level like the Champions League. It may be true that they have a very promising squad filled with lots of star players, but that's no guarantee they will be successful in the competition. I admit they are a strong team, but they have to improve themselves again to be able to compete in a competition where many strong teams take part.

PSG's style of play is actually quite good overall, it's just that the PSG players on several lines don't seem to be well coordinated so that PSG only looks strong on the front lines. I think the idea to buy a club in a mediocre league and then win the Champions League trophy has its errors. Imagine you face Manchester City and they have just played Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham and then play in the Champions League. Their basic performance level is different. PSG is playing against these relatively weak teams in Ligue 1 and then they have to switch gears out of a sudden and play against the top teams from Europe. This switch is hard in my opinion.

PSG doesn't really have a single top game, like a really top top game year round. In most of the other leagues you have at least one fierce competitor who has a realistic chance to beat you.

I don't surprise because PSG don't have mentally champion league like other big club. PSG just filled a superstar player who suitable on ligue 1. Even have Messi and Neymar who have experience on champions league but PSG is just one a rich club who just stepped into Europe and just adapted like Manchester city next.

I really surprised by psg elimination from the champions league, this team have many good players and i expected that they will get the qualification from Allianz arena but their preformence was very catastrophic, i saw the whole match and i think if they play against Bayern with the same preformence for 1000 match they can't win or even get a draw

PSG will be winning league 1. it's just like a guaranteed trophy for PSG for sure. In another case, even with some great players like messi, neymar and mbappe. PSG was still unable to go to the final of UCL that being said the next season gonna be even worst for PSG caused by neymar and messi will be leaving from the club. Galtier must be so confusing to pick the new player that can replace messi and neymar. That will also make the performance of the club different this time.

10 points are big gap while at the same time its competitor marseille is still trying so hard to recover from the bad performance that already achieved by it. The next season gonna be a very hard season for PSG in UCL.

Yes horrible is the best word to represent their midfielders. I understand why they let Wijnaldum go to AS Roma due to his injury and lack of playing time, but the departure of Di Maria, Paredes, and Gueye is their biggest mistake. Beside that, Marquinhos now has made so many mistakes while playing, not only in PSG but also in Brazil team. I clearly remember he was the main reason why Brazil lost to Croatia.

I always thought that lack of decent midfield was the main reason for their losses, both in the league and at UCL as well. Lets take a look at the midfield of the team that lost to Bayern, Nuno mendes at left (normally a wing back) fabian ruiz, veratti, vitinha, hakimi (once again wing back) and to be fair their defense is not the defense we all remember neither, not anyone aside from marquinhos, because it is a very old ramos plus perreira there too.

So, can we really say that this was a good midfield? Not even good defense but it's a horrible midfield if you ask me. In a game where they have world stars mbappe and messi at the front, not having anyone like that anywhere else is the real reason.

I don't understand how PSG manages to make so many mistakes, the first big mistake was in choosing the coach and the second big mistake was not selling Neymar when he was injury-free and now PSG will be spending a lot of money on his salary and he's just sitting without producing results on the pitch, I hope PSG fixes this
