Therefore I would be still satisfied even if one team manage to stay in the title rivalry with PSG for a long time.
Who wouldn't be satisfied if that happens, football is all about competition and i will like to see some of it in the French league, we all do, though i don't feel it will happen this season, psg are very strong and from my prediction they will be champions again, their strength surpasses that of all other clubs in France. I don't know when next we will watch an entertaining title race in the French league, that is what non-psg fans will love to see, competition, it may take long but i feel it will happen, just as juventus haven't won the Italian league in two years now, that seemed impossible before.

If Messi had moved to England he might not have had so much trophies as compared to his chances of winning it back to back to back in the french league. but he wouldn't have ended a three years deal in England without lifting the trophy once i am too confident of he would have recreated Barcelona in England that is like a sure deal.
I think Messi priority Ligue 1 than Primer League because competitive and difficult from primer league than Ligue 1, he not chance can play consistent if move to Primer League. Have drastically different quality team and atmosphere between Primer League and Ligue 1, there are only PSG always dominance every season on Ligue 1, but if try move to Primer League Lionel Messi will find difficult team and competitive atmosphere on every weeks. I think PSG become last career team for Lionel Messi except he will return to first club in his country and moving to Primer League with his age right now can't give top performance again.
Instead I see there are challenges in the Premier League. I don't think that he would be afraid of his performances going downhill if he joined a Premier League team. It should be news about him who thinks he is only good at Barcelona but not with other teams, it becomes a whip for him to prove himself. But it comes back to him, will he get out of his comfort zone or not.
Messi in City jersey would have been something amazing for him, we are talking about something that is quite good because he is a talented player in the sense that he knows what he is doing with his mind and his foot and his technical skills. Maybe he is not as physically fit as some other players, but when you are as talented as him that doesn't matter.

PSG had not a marvelous season last year, but that's understandable because it was the first season with that team. Now they are going to repeat it and unless something gets hurt, they are going to end up getting much better at this and they are going to end up with a good result in the long run.

Quotes bookmakers to win in Ligue 1 at the moment are as follows:

Paris Saint Germain 1.10

Olympique Marseille 13.30

Lyon 14.10

Monaco 17.80

Is anyone interested in freezing their money for almost 10 months for a 10% return?  Grin It sounds cool for a bank deposit, but there are small risks here, so I would not do it. It is much easier to bet on PSG to win in individual games and increase the bet if they lose. It is unlikely that the losing/draw streak will be more than 3.

The risk involved is much compared to the profit you make if you bet on PSG to win the league. No one knows if Paris Saint-German is going to win the French league 1 back to back again or if we are going to witness change just like what happened last season in the Seria A where AC Milan did the unthinkable after many years of league trophy drought. I would rather take a big risk maybe with a small amount to bet on Olympique Marseille to win at 13.30 than betting on PSG to win with a big amount and less earnings  that will be so painful if PSG didn't win the league so It is not a good bet.

Yes, I am of the same opinion - it is much more profitable to make a small bet on Olympic and at the same time keep your remaining money free for other bets. A small PSG bet is completely meaningless as the profit will be small (even if you win) and a large bet will completely freeze your money for almost 10 months. However, I will not make either one or the other. It is easier to guess the outcome of individual games.

I'm not very excited about PSG's performance in the Ligue 1 this season because they are obviously the biggest contender of the championship again. The thing that I wonder the most is if another team will be able to keep up with them till the end of the season this time. Monaco and Marseille tried this but couldn't get too close to PSG at the end. I know that this isn't easy. For example, Lille became the champions and surprised everyone. But this kind of incidents don't happen often in a league that is dominated by a single team.

Therefore I would be still satisfied even if one team manage to stay in the title rivalry with PSG for a long time.

There is only one day left for the league to start again finally. We are starting the season with the Lyon - Ajaccio game. Ajaccio are one of the new teams in the league this season. They have promoted to the Ligue 1 by finishing the Ligue 2 at the second position in the standings. This kind of teams tend to make some surprises in their first seasons actually. Therefore Lyon had better be careful against them and not underestimate them. Lacazette is back at Lyon as well by the way and I'm curious how he will perform. I think Lyon would start with a victory.

I think Lyon will start with a win. Their opponent may be a good team for the other league, but we know that they are not very good for this league. Probably at the end of the season, we will see a team that makes an effort not to fall into the relegation zone in the league.
As we know, Lyon will want to start the league fast and become champions Smiley

Messi and Neymar started with goals. There is a feeling inside me like they both will show much better performances in this season. It is crucial for the success of the team also of course. Mbappe can't carry the team always. They need to be complete as a team to achieve the titles they aim. I don't wait for any surprise in the Ligue 1 this season. The Champions League part is the one I'm curious about the most. Galtier's choices will be followed closely and we will see if this move for PSG is good or not.
Just winning on first match after PSG defeating Nantes last few days ago I don't think have good beginning for PSG on domestic league or Champion League, I know with goals contributing from Neymar and Lionel Messi after PSG winning 4-0 from Nantes, but couldn't compare when PSG playing on Champion League. Still need to show more than what did by Lionel Messi and Neymar when success scoring goals against with Nantes, on Champion League all team have great mentality exactly what happened with PSG after defeating by Real Madrid on second leg, there talk about how Madrid mentality on Champion League than PSG.

Of course you are definitely right that winning a match in a domestic cup doesn't prove anything for their bigger goals yet. But at least we witnessed these two players to have a really strong start. Whether it is a cup match or not, playing like this would help them concentrate on the bigger matches more. Another important thing is that the trio in their attacking line should always continue to play in accord. In case there is some disagreement this would lead the team to a bad form.

Messi doesn't need to prove anything more, he's already past the pinnacle of his career as a professional footballer and has achieved something no one else has. Messi has won 7 Ballon d'Or awards, 6 European Golden Boots, and in 2020 was named the Ballon d'Or Dream Team. That achievement obviously cannot be achieved by other players, I think it is very natural that he is considered the best player in the world and the greatest player of all time. He doesn't need to go to the Premier League for recognition as a great player, because he's already got everything when he was at Barcelona.

I'm sure Messi will stay at PSG until his contract expires. and most likely he will return to barcelona after his contract expires with psg. Even then, if Xavi wants Messi to return to Camp Nou and end his retirement as a Barcelona legend.

As far as I know Messi's contract with PSG was for two years. And the contract with PSG expires in the summer of next year. Now we have not seen any news regarding whether Messi will extend his contract with PSG. No wonder Messi extends their contract with PSG. The PSG club is paying Messi high wages, as well as a lot of perks.
Even if Messi wants to move to Barcelona, Barcelona is not in a position to afford Messi's high wages at the moment. He spends a lot of money buying players with loans and reducing player wages
Right now messi is starting to be well received by PSG so that even if PSG offer him a new contract maybe Messi will not think twice about accepting it immediately, Xavi has indeed conveyed his intention to bring Messi back to Barcelona when his contract expires, but I think in a condition like now maybe messi will prefer to stay in paris, messi has spent all his life with barcelona and I think that's enough for messi return the favor to barcelona all this time, I think messi will prefer to stay in paris later and continue career and he journey until retirement.
It is difficult to restore Barcelona's financial condition because they continue to insist on making large expenditures but not in balance with the income obtained, it will certainly be difficult for Barcelona to take Messi back from PSG. But if later, for example, Messi is a free agent, then maybe Messi returns to Barcelona, but with a salary that may be very low as a legendary player. For this reason, I don't think Messi should choose Barcelona as his retirement club, because there are still many other clubs who still have an interest if Messi does have to leave PSG. But if Messi's performance can be maintained properly, then PSG will easily extend Messi's contract.

It depends on which club Messi will move to, if he chooses Tottenham or Newcastle he will get nothing. But if Messi moves to Manchester City for a reunion with Guardiola, he can win the title even if he is only on the bench. But Messi will not move anywhere before his contract ends with PSG, he will continue to play and will get titles there. I think Messi will return to Barcelona after his job with PSG is over, he couldn't refuse Xavi offer to help him there. Barcelona has given everything for Messi, it is fitting for Messi to help Barcelona when they need his services.

yes that's true, but I think it's too late for messi to have a career in the english league at his age that is no longer young, the opportunity for a career in the english league came when manchester city was interested in signing him, but messi instead chose to join psg.

at this time at the age of 37 not much can be expected from messi to play in the English league even though he still has a prime physique.

At the age of 37, Messi will join the Premier League team to prove his worth? This is ridiculous. Messi has already proved his worth. Players usually retire at the age of 37. It would be foolish for Messi to join a competitive league like the Premier League at this age. Also, Premier League teams are not interested in older players. Despite Ronaldo's fitness, teams like Chelsea, Liverpool and City are not interested in signing him.

Sergio Ramos was the most renowned defender in the world in his prime. But now it feels like he is just a shadow of his former self. It feels like in PSG a lot of star players come with a big expectation but in reality, they are unable to perform as well as they should have. If you look at Lionel Messi and Neymar, you will see that they have also not performed as expected. For some reason, it does appear like PSG is highly responsible for all these things happening. They are just trying to get elite players on the team but they are not thinking about that team chemistry or the chemistry between the players at all. They are not trying to make a balanced team.
I have never doubted the talents of Sergio Ramos, he is a good cleaner and a good scorer, strange as it may seem to talk about a player of this role. But don't expect him to run at breakneck speed in defense of the team.  Sergio Ramos is a great savior of the team and you should remember this perfectly well, but not a defender who, at his advanced age, to put it mildly, will clean up the flaws of his partners. Messi, in any of his current condition, should be better than all his competitors in France. I'm silent about Neymar, day and night clubs are the most important factor that do not allow this undoubtedly very talented striker to fully prove himself.
Yes indeed there is no doubt for Sergio Ramos that he is indeed one of the best defenders ever. But I'm not surprised when they come to Paris Saint Germain the players will drop in performance, I'm not even surprised when many star players only decorate the bench. I think when players come to Paris Saint Germain they are not dangerous players anymore. Lol

Messi is now 35. I don't think he will be fit for a Premier League team at the age of 37 after his contract with PSG ends. The Premier League is highly competitive. And if you want to perform well in the Premier League, you must be fit. Keeping fit at 37 years old is very difficult. I think Messi will extend his contract with PSG or join a Bundesliga team.
Right now, as things are going most chances we will have Messi here at PSG until end of his career or very few chances Barcelona will try to bring him back for his farewell which was not happened in last season when the transfer happened there is no chance for him to go into Premier League or any other league because at the end of this contract he is going to be 37 which is surely age when mostly players decide about their retirement and their body is not also they have at their best on all players can go through like Zlatan Ibrahimović who is giving his best at the age of 40.

Messi is going to be vital for PSG in this season because here management is also doing some good developments which can bring better results for them and this could be vital for all parties in coming days.

Messi may decide to move to Barcelona and announce his retirement while at Barcelona. But Barcelona is unable to pay Messi high wages now. So considering the aspect of wages, only considering the aspect of love and loyalty, Messi should go to Barcelona.
Next season is very important for Messi. PSG and Messi's aim is to win the Champions League title. At the same time, Mbappe wants to win the first Champions League of his career. Hopefully we will see more balanced gameplay from PSG next season.

Lyon want to improve their position on standings league this season and that's why they get several players in this transfer window to strengthen their squad and besides Lacazette they get Corentin Tolisso from Bayern Munich and Nicolás Tagliafico from Ajax and tomorrow against promotion team Ajaccio on the paper they should be win but if we compare to Lyon pre season tour i think they hasn't too impressive even several times lose with big score with Willem 5-0 and lose from Anderlecht 3-0

Maybe you are right and not. I won't compare Ligue 1 with another Europa League because there will be another situation where Ligue 1 is have something different from another one, Maybe Messi come to Paris because he wants to focus on his family, maybe he felt Paris is quite comfortable for his family and want to retire there where have something different in England or Italy, where have tight competition, busy, glamour, and Messi does not want to be there anymore.
Messi never come to Paris for his family or any other issue this was good offer from PSG, and he was having some issues in Barcelona, so there were on two choices one PSG and second Manchester City, so he has some good incentives from here he joins this club and now as Barcelona is having some good time now they are feeling they want Messi back in their team which is possible in 2023 because we already read Barcelona President announces they will give farewell to this legendary player mean now things are going to be normal, so they want him back in their team for one or two seasons which will give them better exposure if they have their desired results in this current season after investing good money in transfers and having few quality players from different teams.

Even nothing is sure how things could be after this season but most chances if he has no good result at PSG then surely he is going back to Barcelona for his final session in this soccer.
That is my assumption as another factor besides that. I know that Barcelona has had a financial problem before so Barce leaves Messi for PSG. We know that Messi is also interesting in another club, but he has chosen PSG, so maybe Paris really looks comfortable for his family. And about coming back to Barcelona, nothing for impossible, As Ronaldo comes back to MU, Messi may also come back to camp nou, but of course with his (old) age also.
