It's a great start for Messi and from this, I think Messi will have a better season than the last one. At least he will be able to score more goals than in the past season. What Messi experienced in the past season is weird. So many shots hit goal bar or pillars and rejected too many goals for Messi. He looks more comfortable in his second season there and the combination with Neymar is great.

Let's see the combination of the trio Messi - Neymar - Mbappe in coming weeks. PSG and Messi won't have much challenge in Ligue 1 but they will have lot of things to do in Champions League.

PSG under Galtier is playing like a whole team. Connection among their players look better and the general sentiment is positive. If they can continue it, it would be very helpful for the club in this long season. To achieve Champions League, they must eliminate internal conflicts and together aim at an ultimate result, the Champions League trophy.

Paredes faced with risk to leave PSG but finally he stays in Paris. I think he is a good midfielder who can provide a balance between attacking and defense for PSG.

There is no surprising result for PSG as expected. They erased Clermont by 5-0. There was a big quality difference between these teams of course but it is important for boosting their morale anyway. Mbappe had an injury but it didn't change anything for the team thanks to the great Messi - Neymar work. It is awesome to see them starting to play like in their Barcelona days. The team will expect to see this in the Champions League also as it is the most important part for them.

PSG performance in ligue 1 is not in doubt at all, galtier or pochettino and even whoever the coach if still with the existing squad as it is today PSG will remain the ruler in Ligue 1, as long as there are no strong and rich rival teams in ligue 1 then domination PSG will never be broken, I don't think PSG will have a difficult season in Ligue 1 like the previous season but for the Champions League competition I think they still won't will be able to get the trophy

I think it's difficult to assess the quality of PSG's play in this game. PSG's performance in the match was amazing, I watched every second until the game ended and it's true that the Messi and Neymar duo made a sweet result for the first 3 points at the start of the season. Hakimi scored, but unfortunately Ramos failed to capitalize on his precise header as it was saved by the goalkeeper.

Messi's performance this season looks to improve as he has scored more goals in various matches. During pre-season, he scored 2 goals in 2 matches from 4 PSG friendly matches. Then he also scored 1 goal when PSG won the Trophee Des Champions title against Nantes with a score of 4-0. Of course it will be good for PSG, he looks more excited than last season, but I think he is still better because this is the first match for PSG in Ligue 1 this season.

that's a really good beginning of a season for PSG even without Mbappe, Ligue 1 is still not really concerning the team and the fans, there no big competition for it, Messi is getting more comfortable with PSG, and playing alongside Neymar really helped because they know each other pretty well.

It was an absolutely amazing performance. I was blown away by Messi and Neymar's duo! There were two goals and one assist for Lionel Messi, while Neymar contributed a hat trick of assists and one goal. Both Messi and Neymar are regaining their best form. It was a very spectacular night. We want Neymar like that. It is absolute magic when he and Messi are together at their best. Messi smiles and laughs at training, now he is doing wonders. Especially with the world cup just around the corner.

Bayern won with 5 goals difference in Bundesliga and PSG responded with another 5 goals difference victory in Ligue 1! As you said, that was a perfect start and will make fans wonder how far PSG will go in CL mainly.
For Monaco, they ended their game with 2 goals to 1 vs Strasbourg. A tough match with a good reward for Monaco but also for the ones placing a bet on it.

Pretty clear that psg wanted to win this match fast. But let's face it, the championship is no longer a challenge for this team. Supporters don't even expect a championship anymore, it's something that's a certainty. They can become champions in the league winning all matches, if they don't win the Champions league again then it's a failed year. But this thread is about the competition.
