Marseille, on the other hand, won 2-0 away to Saint Etienne and managed to increase their points to 29.They will give everything to be champions this season.Saint Etienne played badly this season so Marseille did not have much difficulty in this match.Marseille could have found more goals for Marseille, who dominated the match against their opponent.

I agree that Marseille should have scored more goals, as they dominated the game. Maybe 0 - 3 or 0 - 4 would have been more reasonable. Etienne isn't a tough opponent for them, even Marseille was able to beat AS Monaco in their previous match. With the result in this match, Marseille is now a serious challenger for PSG in the Ligue 1 standings.

Having the status as a giant of Ligue 1, but in the Champions League they can't do much by often showing unsatisfactory performances and results. Indeed, in the Champions League their level in my opinion is still below the giants from other leagues so that's what makes it very difficult for them to do their best. Now they have to fight hard to be able to qualify at least through the play-off round. They are in the right position at the last rank of the standings that can be in the play-off round. However, their position is also not comfortable because there is almost no distance with the teams below them.
It is undeniable that in League 1 PSG is the strongest club among other clubs, but in the Champions League PSG is like an ordinary club, they always have difficulty competing. Especially this season PSG looks very difficulty in winning every match he plays, even Real Madrid who is the king of the Champions League this season, also has difficulty qualifying for the last 16 comfortably, I think many elite clubs will fight in the knockout round to advance to the last 16 such as Juventus, Man City, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal, they are also currently ranked quite far from the top 8.

Marseille and Monaco will be the team that are expected to make Ligue 1 more interesting, they have experienced setback but in the future they could perform well again and show us all surprise and for the UCL competition, of course, it has different conditions from Ligue 1 so it is natural if PSG performs badly there even though here PSG is the best team almost every season.

Both clubs have only lost one game more than PSG therefore, if they can keep being that good without losing more games then they have a chance at challenging PSG for the title. I still think that PSG has a point to prove this season that they can win the league without Mbappe therefore the coach and players won't want this particular title to go pass them. They're trying all their best to win it therefore it isn't going to be an easy challenge for the two clubs that you mention to keep up with PSG. PSG haven't lost any game this season and they'll want to keep it that way until the year ends. Their last two game ended in a one goal draw and a goalless draw, that's why the other clubs seems closer to them in points.

PSG journey to reach the last 16 is getting steeper, where they have to face Man City and Stuttgart in the next two matches. I think PSG need a lot of luck to be able to get back into the play-off zone, their dominance in Ligue 1 actually makes them uncompetitive in the Champions League. Luis Enrique is now under pressure if PSG fails to reach the last 16, Nasser Al-Khelaifi is clearly not happy with the situation. There is no worry whatsoever about their chances of winning the Ligue 1 trophy, although this season Marseille and AS Monaco look serious about competing at the top of the standings.

For me personally, PSG is not really in bad condition. especially if we talk about Lique 1, they have not even touched defeat in 14 matches, although they have 4 draws. for me personally PSG is still too strong in the French League, their dominance is quite difficult to break. well, we agree for PSG in the Champions League. although they often dominate the course of the match, have many opportunities, they are only able to produce 6 goals in 6 matches. even though if we look at their statistics, PSG almost always has a lot of total shots. unfortunately, PSG players have difficulty converting them into goals. it seems that this team has a little problem in the more prestigious League, their strikers seem unable to break through the other team's goal. now Gonjalo Ramos has recovered, but his performance has not been effective. as you said, if PSG is eliminated in the Champions League qualifiers, it will be even more difficult to block them in Lique 1.

If we talk about the dominance of League 1, I admit that PSG still has a greater chance. But the problem is that PSG has just appeared for the first time without relying on one player who previously relied on their star players. As you said, PSG often makes a lot of shots, well that is PSG weakness that must be fixed which currently has not found the right finisher.
Even though they have Goncalo Ramos, he is still not optimal. Or in terms of talent, I prefer Bradley Barcola to be relied on and develop his talent which is currently a little more reliable in League 1.

In my opinion, the team below PSG still has chance to compete for the Ligue 1 title because basically with 5 points difference it is still possible to match it, unless the difference reaches 10 points or more, then it is clearly difficult for any team to catch up.

Five points may not be looking like too much of a difference with other teams but for PSG staying ahead by five points means everything, as they are actually not going to allow it get any lower, rather they would even want the point difference to increase and they will literally work towards getting that fixed. Others could slack with five points difference and then the points will drop a d they probably be over taken but with PSG I believe it's going to be totally different such that PSG will not allow such happen and may rather aim to win he league title instead.

I am also surprised by the assumption of many people who claim that PSG is in bad shape this season, even though we know how they are still unbeaten so far in the league, indeed PSG has had negative results in some of their matches but that does not mean they are in bad shape, the only challenge for PSG so far is the champions league, while ligue 1 of course they still show their power so far, currently their chances in the champions league are still very small to qualify for the next round, so if they are early eliminated in the champions league this season, then I we will see PSG will be unstoppable in Ligue 1 later.

It has always been Mbappe and not Messi, Mbappe leaving is what caused the viewership numbers of the league to drop. Mbappe made the league popular and after Messi came and left still the league was recieving interest until Real Madrid came for Mbappe and now much people don't watch the league again. Personally I can't remember the last I watched the league after the departure of Mbappe. PSG dominance on the league is also making the league to be of no interest from people as they know that they're the ones that's going to win. PSG is also going to win the league again this season regardless of drawing against Marseille in their last match, they're ahead with 7 points.
Well, although Mbappé is not having a good moment, things are not going his way, I think that has influenced him a lot. In fact, he himself said that when he missed a penalty in the UCL that CR7 called him and encouraged him, this is a very good thing, however, now PSG is not as powerful in Ligue 1, I see that they have had some shortcomings while they play, I don't know if Luis Enrique has spoken to him more about the attack being more vertical, and the defense being in zones, because they arrive very easily with a good counterattack.

Indeed many people think that PSG started this season with a new appearance, but they don't know that PSG has not been defeated in the French League (League 1).
I also saw a change in PSG when they appeared in the Champions League, but that's not a bad thing, as other people say, they just need to set a new strategy when they are without the champions league and their performance is not bad. PSG is at the top of the League 1 standings and remains consistent in defending the title until the end of the season.
PSG is still not so good in the Champions League this season because of the six weeks that PSG has played in the Champions League, the team has only won two matches and its position itself is still not necessarily safe because if Feyenoord is able to win today's match, of course PSG's position will be shifted back to the bottom position. Meanwhile, in Ligue 1, it is undeniable that PSG is still a very good team during this season, but that is not at all extraordinary because PSG has indeed become a team that is able to dominate Ligue 1 through its dominance in every match.

It was and for me it's very good that this happened, this means that they now see PSG as a team that can be beaten, that they don't have victories all the time, they can be beaten, and I think that if they see it like that, Ligue 1 will be very good because basically things are like that, when other teams see that it is possible to win, they psychologically will do it and they will look for it, it's not difficult, it has to be done personally, I say something, when one focuses on winning one has to find a way, I think Nantes has it clear.

PSG's poor performance is really making this league a bit attractive. I'm sure PSG fans would hate your comment if they see it.   Grin
The performance of PSG is not as bad as a lot of people portray it to be, they are top of the table, winning 10 out of 14 games and have only drawn 4 which for me is a good run for the French champions and it seems to me that they might still retain their title since no other side seems to be putting any pressure on them. The only issue PSG are having this season is their poor run in the champions league where they've had to struggle much this season and seem not to be able to make it to the next round.
As far as the Ligue1 is concerned PSG is the most consistent club in that league and do not have much to worry about except for the fact that they haven't really performed very well in this edition thereby reducing their credibility as one of Europe's elite club but in terms of overall performance in the domestic league they have been very proactive and they stand a better chance of retaining the title this season more than any other club in the french Ligue1 this season.

Do not care about the teams below because anyway, if for example Marseille and Monaco have great sincerity to be able to have consistent results in each match. Then of course, PSG will be overtaken and maybe PSG will also be overtaken by Marseille or by Monaco. Because to be honest,  a five-point gap is not a far point gap but yes, because PSG always manages to get good results, it is difficult for competing teams in the title race to catch up with them. But yes, the point is if they stay focused to keep having good results in every match, then it will give them a chance to overtake PSG. Because maybe, if PSG then fails to get the Ligue 1 trophy, it might make PSG make a better effort in building a team that is expected to have good results also  in the Champion League.
They don't have the ability from the quality of the players so it is difficult for them to overtake PSG in first place in the standings and the five points behind their opponents below them are not too far apart but PSG's quality to appear consistently in Ligue 1 will make it difficult for Marseille and Monaco to catch up. But they should not give up and most importantly continue to show good results in every match so that when PSG experiences a slight setback it will give them a chance to catch up.

No one knows how PSG will be in the future and it is possible that they will experience unfavorable results in several matches so that for the challengers it can be a little easier to catch up on the points difference from PSG, even though the conditions are difficult but in football there are always surprises that occur beyond predictions.

PSG are unlikely to be challenged for the Ligue 1 title. Marseille and Monaco have started the season well. However, they have failed to maintain their consistent form. That is why Marseille and Monaco are now 5 points behind PSG.

Several teams are competing for Champions League qualification. Marseille and Monaco are level on points. Lille and Lyon are 3 and 4 points behind respectively. If Marseille and Monaco's performances are inconsistent, we will probably see Lille in second place in the table in the future.

You are correct. PSG drew ten games and lost just two last season, so they are still on track. They have not lost any game this season and just drew four games. We cannot assume that no French club is pressurizing PSG because Olympique de Marseille and Monaco are closely trialing them. Both teams are five points below the reigning Ligue One champions. I would not push aside these teams because they also have good coaches and quality players. Roberto De Zerbi is not doing a bad job in Marseille and I would not be surprised if they win the Ligue Cup. From the current situation, PSG might not make it out of the Group stage because they are underperforming in the UCL.
I don't think PSG has any separate plans for the French league so far. They have always known that they are one of the strongest teams in the French league and that they will be champions of the local league whether they plan or not. PSG has always been seen planning for the Champions League and they have tried a lot and spent a lot of money just to win the Champions League trophy but so far they have not been able to win the Champions League trophy.

Although the club is now realizing that the way they spent the money was the wrong way to go because they only spent the money instead of hiring a quality manager for their club. If the manager who is in charge of their club now had such a manager and if that manager had planned and brought players into the team then PSG could have won at least one UCL title by now.

Marseille currently have 29 points and are second in the table, but I don't think they can expect too much to be champions and remove PSG from the top of the table, when they are still under strong pressure from Monaco and Lille who are ranked 3rd and 4th at the moment.

The UEFA Champions League trophy is the main title challenge for Les Parisiens. They're always ontop and winning matches becomes easy for them but not in UCL which consider to be fierce and challenging. There are tournament that could be consider easy going for PSG but when it involves the UCL, there's always good odds to relied on. Paris Saint-Germain still ranked first on the Ligue One table and some coach like Luis Enrique deserves accolades because this is not an easy task to handle the managerial position of the team. Marseille and Monaco can be pre-eminent rival for the title, more reason for PSG to buckled up because it's not going to be an easy run.

I don't know the reason why some people say PSG's performance this season in Ligue 1 is so bad, even though PSG was unbeaten until week 14 even though they only won 10 matches. Just because of a draw some people say it is bad, but the fact is that no team can maintain its run without a draw in a season.
PSG have drawn 4 games this season. Last season they ended the league with 10 draws and 2 losses. So I think they are still at the same level as last season. I agree with you that no team can keep winning games. But maybe 2 consecutive draws against teams in the middle of the table seems to be the reason why some people say PSG are doing badly. But I think PSG are still very strong and dominating Ligue 1 this season. They are 5 points ahead of Marseille and they are still unbeaten.
I think is that unbeaten that is still keeping them there, 5 points is never enough to be happy about because if they mistakenly lost any and Marseille continue to win definitely the gap will get closer and it going to be hard for PSG. The French league is not challenging, I ranked them last among the top five league because there is not competition, PSG seem to be the only team that can buy any players of their choice no matter how expensive, sometimes I called them one team league because one club dominated all the time. I'm not bothered with PSG performances because I believe they will get back, the transfer window is near and I know they will make use of it to straighten their strength.
