The race for the title in the french Ligue1 this season would be between PSG, Marseille, Monaco but preferably I would rather hand pick Marseille to be favourites to compete for the title over the other clubs I mentioned considering the quality of players in the Marseille squad and their style of play, it is obvious that olympic Marseille seem like a better team to compete for the title. Mason Greenwood as we all know before he left Manchester United has always been an outstanding player and has always proved his worth every time he has the opportunity even with the short spell he had with Getafe in the la liga and now with Marseille he is playing with the same zeal as a world class player and I think he going to get the chance to play for one of the big clubs in Europe like PSG or may be a move back to England soon.

Marseille's journey is actually still long, we don't know how far their consistency will be until the end of the season. However, considering the matches they have played, as well as the role of the coach, team performance, and the productivity of the goals they have produced, Marseille has the potential to finish in the top 4 of Ligue 1. At least, Marseille this season has made a good initial step compared to last season. However, talking about competing closely with PSG, for me it is not enough for Marseille to compete closely with Paris Saint-Germain. Although it is not impossible that anything can happen in football, for me PSG is still very strong for its rival teams in Ligue 1. We can see the matches played by PSG, Enrique often dismantles his center forwards. I interpret that the PSG coach is not satisfied with the results he expected. With the strength that Marseille currently has, it can be said that yes, they have great potential to play in the Champions League next season, because they have shown strong interest this season with the efforts they have made by bringing in coaches and several famous players. I say they will finish in a good place at the end of the season, Marseille itself is currently still able to compete with PSG's main standings, they are currently 6 points behind and I think if Marseille plays better and optimally, they can get rid of PSG this season, if you look at PSG is also not too strong this season, the competition at the top should be able to be done well, both Marseille and Monaco because currently if you look at Monaco and Marseille have good strength so they can take advantage of PSG's negligence to win the French League this season.

Actually if we could look at the current performance of Marseille and judge from their performance we can say they qualifying for champions League next season is very possible because so far they have been of a good performance and results so far, Monaco truly hasn't been of a poor performance with and shouldn't be underestimated literally as I see a whole lot of promising potentials from them with the fact that they are around the top team they will most likely have a decent finish too by the end of the Season.

The dominance of PSG in the French League 1 is much and that is the reason why some people are referring to League1 as farmers League because for more than a decade now, only PSG is winning the title, and no other team is coming near them because the points gap they do even give them used to be much before the last match; most times, they do even win the League seven weeks before the final game because there is no competition and other teams like Lyon, Monaco, Lille, Nantes, Marseille, and others that are supposed to be top competitors are not doing well.

I don’t know what used to go wrong for PSG when it comes to Champions League. They are trying to make it to some level like quarterfinal or even semifinal, but they end up bottling the title themselves due to poor performance from the team.
I don’t think they will win the Champions League anytime soon because last two seasons where they have almost all the best players in the world that have good Champions League experience, they couldn’t make it, and this season, they are struggling to even make it to the knockout stage of the competition.

One of the dreams that PSG will like to at least get is even if it is a trophy of the Champions League. Which was very hard for them to achieve even when they have been spending lots of money on buying many skilled players like mbappe, Messi, Neymar, Cavani, Ibrahimovic, and many others, but still they were not able to even reach the finals. I think that is why they seem to be giving up this season. Although this is not the thread to discuss the Champions League.

Talking about league 1, I don’t think any other team will be a threat for PSG, because there have been league 1 champions for quite a long time and they are still maintaining their standards, which I know they had a total of 10 trophies in league 1, and presently there are at the top of the table with the interval of 6 points to Marseille, which is the second in the table, so I don’t think PSG will have anything to worry about in league 1.

PSG has dominated the Ligue1 for a long time now no doubt they stand as the favorite to win the league title this season and they can still be predicted as the favorite win the domestic league next season and it will happen because their team squad is better than the other teams in the league so even when they try to challenge them as we are seeing this season PSG will still dominate them and win the league title again.

But coming to the champions league where should be the main focus for the PSG team they have tried several times to win the Champions League trophy but they find it difficult to progress to the final stages even when they have lots of notable stars in the team they still couldn't progress to the semi finals of the champions league so any one that's trying to rate the performance of PSG according to their success in the champions League will be disappointed because they have achieved nothing there.

Because Marseille managed to climb to second place at this time, it was a good result because in the last season that Marseille only finished in eighth position. So yes, with Marseille's current success, it can be said that Marseille has a good improvement in its performance this season. But even so, at least there is still no strong guarantee for Marseille to be able to stay  in that position until the end of the season. But at least, Marseille will certainly make its best efforts to be a contender in the race for the trophy this season. Although indeed,  I am only confident that Marseille will only try to maintain its position in the Champion League zone, because to overtake PSG at the top of the standings is like a target that is difficult to achieve.

Marseille courage to invest in a talented player like Mason Greenwood is commendable, so far the former Manchester United player has been able to adapt smoothly under De Zerbi control. It is very possible that Marseille will compete closely with PSG, and it would be nice if AS Monaco were also involved, it would make Ligue 1 more competitive than previous seasons. Actualy, AS Monaco potential cannot be underestimated, currently they are performing well in the Champions League, I think PSG and Marseille must remain vigilant against AS Monaco strength. Irrespective of the position they both hold at the moment, I still believe that Marseille will outperform Monaco this season in the league and they would also make a better title contenders than Monaco because Monaco obviously lack the qualities required to be title contenders against teams like PSG. The presence of Mason Greenwood in the Marseille team has greatly improved the performance of the team and he and his colleagues have made olympique Marseille a better team than they were in the last ten years and I believe this improvement will secure them a place in the champions league next season because that's where they ought to be.
