what you say is true, currently messi's age is 34 years and his performance is decreasing day by day, there is little hope for messi to shine at PSG now like when he was at barca when he was young.

At his age, Messi is still able to show good performance and I think maybe it's just his speed that has started to decline, but in terms of agility and also creating opportunities it is still the same as Messi when he was in Barcelona uniform, so far Messi has been comfortable in Barcelona, so if PSG is too expect too high on messi in his first season of course that won't happen, because after all messi still needs adaptation to understand the game in the french league at this time, I think even though it's still beyond expectations but at least messi has helped PSG attack line become better.
No doubt age factor is having impact on his speed but still he is one of the best playmaker in soccer game and have ability to change any game with his own stay and creating opportunities here in PSG he is fail to play like Barcelona because it's his first season after very long career at Barcelona, and he also fails to adopt French way of play which is not his style, but one thing is sure as he is doing hopefully if he stays here for one more season this could be great for both PSG and Messi because now things are going in positive way for them, and they can do much better than current level. 34 is still good age, and he can play few more seasons with this all and have very good impact with his experience and abilities.
No doubt Messi is a fantastic player but right now i think he needs to retire because age is no longer on hia did, I have observe him several times he no longer push forward like he use to do and he is not as fast as he use to be with his left foot so i would suggest the he take a no so that he can have more time for himself.

I agree don't expect too much from Messi in his first season with PSG, because even experienced players have to adapt first when playing in a new place.
Moreover, Messi, who has been with Barcelona for a long time, needs to adjust to the PSG game. Therefore, it is still natural that in his first season Messi
has not been able to show his best performance. I think we can at least assess Messi's performance next season, which Messi should have started to
adapt next season. Regarding the age of Messi, who is 34 years old, that is not necessarily the cause of Messi's declining performance. Because
34-year-old Karim Benzema can also make a big contribution to Real Madrid, so give Messi a chance to prove himself that he can still show his best form
with PSG.

Marseille were not that good at all even though they seemed like better than the first half. Having two shots during the whole half is not good statistics obviously. And none of them was on target either. Because of this, I believe that they deserved this 2-1 loss. PSG did nothing in the second half but still managed to win this game. Even this is a proof for how strong they are compared to all of their opponents remaining in the Ligue 1. Marseille continue to watch them from a position far behind. They are just trying to keep the second position now.

Nearly half an hour of the game I've watched. The French team was very defensive against this opponent. They do not want to concede any goals, but Marseille are unlikely to score. There was never any doubt they would win the league. They don't have any competition at all. I don't think this team is ready to win the champions league with the way they play. There needs to be more competition within the French league! It's always the strongest team that wins.

The victory over Marseille made PSG more comfortable at the top of the standings with 74 points and 15 points ahead of Marseille. With six games are remaining, PSG only needs at least 4 more points to become champions. As a result of this defeat, Marseille is only able to collect a maximum of 77 points, (if it can win all remaining matches), meaning that the number of points Marseille is no longer able to catch PSG points.
In order to compete in the Champions League a next season, PSG must be handled by a coach who has experience in the Champions League, Zidane is the right person to replace Mauricio Pochettino.
But indeed this is not something strange indeed in my opinion and maybe in the next 2 matches we can see the celebrations that will occur even though it will not be too memorable because in my opinion it is just the same as usual and many people will consider this as understanding because they are. it will definitely be like that.
Well this season there are no surprises like last season even though I hope a competitive season like last season repeats itself but it seems this season nothing like that

Messi is getting older, I do not think that he is a 1 goal per game average type of player anymore. However, I agree that he could get better, he hasn't been his best self this year and that caused him to have lower statistics than he usually does, which upset a lot of PSG fans I can understand that. He could be better than how he is right now, play in more games, score more, assist more and have good help for the team without reaching to his old self levels.

If we take him right now at 5/10, and him at his peak was 10/10, then we could say maybe 7.5/10 would be enough. He would be so much more help to the team and could help them get UCL as well.

it really went fierce, not a good day for Messi, his 2 goals were not recognized for offside. btw, I'm just sharing news for those who may not know;
Messi is not as good as he was in Barcelona, but I believe he could get better after time, also he doesn't have to score to help the team win, he made quite few passes here and there this season and overall he's not doing that bad, I don't think fans should hate him to the point of whistling when he touches the ball, we might see something different after some changes in the team's coach and strategy.
if messi can contribute to PSG in a stable manner (at least make 1 goal in every PSG match) surely the confidence of PSG fans will return to messi but in fact until now messi is still difficult to realize that. this season's ligue 1 belongs to PSG but what is much disappointing is that they were eliminated from the UCL, there will definitely be big changes to PSG in the next season.

The victory obtained by PSG from marseille further increased the chances of celebrating PSG champion before the league ended, now PSG have 74 points and Marseille have 59 points, meaning they have a difference of 15 points, but if marseille loses in just one match the remaining automatically the difference in points will be 18 and that will not be overtaken in the remaining 5 that are owned by marseille, I think next week maybe PSG will celebrate its tenth trophy because marseille has a pretty strong opponent, namely Nantes and if later the match between marseille and Nantes ends in a draw and PSG wins from angers,  then PSG automatically championship ligue 1 this season.

PSG 2 - 1 Marseille, nothing special tho
PSG needs to win another game + either get a draw in another game or see OM dropping 2 points to be declared the winner of Ligue 1 very early. The title might be lifted soon in the next 1-2 rounds Wink

If Marseille lose points in the next round and PSG win, then PSG will immediately officially become champions. But I must say that in yesterday's match, Marseille looked worthy and clearly better than what the bookmakers estimated it to be.
It is a pity that PSG did not have a single competitor this season and, in general, the championship turned out to be rather “empty”. I hope things change next season.

PSG won their last game against their rivalry, Marseille. The game was full of fouls with Paris Saint German having a total fouls of 16 and Marseille had 12. Although the referee, Francois Letexier issued 6 yellow cards to the home team, and 1 to the away team. PSG was lucky enough to secure their win in the first half. The second half, they played a defensive game in other to maintain their lead in the game. Although, William Saliba scored to levelled the game to a 2-2 draw but his goal was ruled out by VAR. As this point of time, is quite obvious that PSG can't be overtaken, and will surely win the Ligue 1 title.

There is no tight competition in the top flight but for the next match it is clear, Marseille must be consistent if they don't want their position to be taken over by Rennes. If in the next match Marseille loses and Rennes wins, then Rennes can immediately take over the 2nd place. The current 3 point gap makes 2nd place even tighter, because Rennes is leading in the number of goals and this makes Marseille's position no longer safe.
fortunately in the other match Rennes also lost by a narrow score by Monaco who did perform very well in that match, if they win it could be Marseille will be in trouble because their points will be the same.
But like you said they have to make the Margin bigger now if they really want to maintain 2nd position although it doesn't really matter being in 2nd or 3rd position because it makes no difference because the most important thing is being in the Champions League zone.

well there are few games left to finish league 1, with the current scenario it is guaranteed and safe to say that PSG are already the champions, I'm happy for that because I'm a PSG fan but I also keep thinking that next season it would be good to see more competitiveness, what's the fun of seeing a team be at the top from the first games to the last game and be champion and every year be the same thing? Of course, there may be a year or two in which they are not champions, but even when they are not champions they don't have a big difference in points in relation to first place. this should change, the other clubs need to become stronger

I expected more from the psg marseille game while the first half was good and we've seen three goals the second one was not as expected only one off goal shot from both teams which was surprising since both teams are doing good this season, but it seems that there is no change in the table marseille is still in the second position.
Expect less and stay happy!  Wink I'm still thinking about Neymar's goals against Marseille. Neymar has really worked on his form and he started regaining his stamina. Messi gave the penalty to Mbappe after his goal dismissed because of offside. If we expected more from the last night game, Messi could've scored so they could've scored 3 goals altogether.

It has become difficult for Marseille to be in second place at the table now. Moreover, the opponents of Marseille's upcoming matches are not easy. They must play well and be consistent if they want to be second in the table. Because Rennes is in good enough form now. Rennes will take second place in the table if Marseille makes any mistake.

The fight for second place is getting more and more interesting, because the difference in points between Rennes and Marseille is only 3 points.
Unfortunately, Marseille's winning streak had to end, after Marseille was defeated by PSG. But after all, the quality of PSG's players is far above
Marseille, so Marseille's defeat was not because Marseille's performance had decreased. But fortunately Rennes who are under Marseille also
suffered a defeat when dealing with Monaco. So the difference in points between Rennes and Marseille has not changed, what is interesting is
the match this week, because we will see whether between Marseille and Rennes there is another defeat or both won.

But judging from the opponents facing Marseille and Rennes, maybe Marseille have a lighter opponent. Marseille will face Nantes who are
in 10th position, chances are Marseille will beat Nantes easily, if we see Nantes poor performance. While Rennes will be facing a fairly strong
opponent, because Strasbourg as the opponent of Rennes is in 5th position and only 3 points difference from Rennes. If Strasbourg manages
to beat Rennes, both will have the same points. But I predict the match Strasbourg vs Rennes will end in a draw.

I think one winning time on next match will give champion trophy for PSG because gap 15 points with 5 match left can't give chance for Marseille stop PSG as the winner with lead goal and head to head from Marseille. Although with impressive performance on domestic league I don't sure with Pochettino keep safety on his position as head coach, several bad result actually eliminating from champion league become interested reason why PSG have looking for new head coach next season. Domestic league is not priority I think with much money to get many star player but how PSG can reach UEFA Champion League trophy its most important.

Both teams played completely defensively here. The Marseille players did not attack much. Perhaps the goal of both teams was to draw the match. But after leading 2-1 in the first half, PSG played more defensively in the second half. Marseille, on the other hand, possessed the ball but was reluctant to attack. In the 90th minute, they were able to make only one on-target shot. PSG ensured their title win in this match.
It's a minimum win for PSG but it is enough for them to move more closely to the title. Neymar again scored and he is the best scorer among foreigner players in Ligue 1. Mbappe scored 1 goal and prolonged his happy period in the end of this season. When Mbappe joined PSG, he was not a biggest star in Paris but now he is. PSG lives with his goals and assists and I can not imagine how they will play without Mbappe.
Messi again has a very unlucky match with 2 rejected goals.
Next week, if PSG win and Marseille won't win, the title will belong to PSG.

You are right. Mbappe is now an essential player for PSG. Messi is not playing very well with the PSG team. Neymar, on the other hand, is injured for most of the season. And so the PSG team has to rely on Mbappe's score to win the match. If Mbappe leaves the team next season, the situation of the PSG team will get worse.
It is almost certain that PSG will win the title. They are 15 points ahead of Marseille. And it is not possible for Marseille to close this gap. My guess is this gap will widen further.
