The hosts are the clear favorite of the first Ligue 1 match, Olympique Lyonnais - AC Ajaccio. Unfortunately something like this is something that is difficult to happen in Ligue 1.
PSG really excel in every way and indeed it will be difficult to make a new breakthrough even as Lille did in the 2020/2021 season.

I agree that the pre-season tour where PSG face several clubs from the Japanese league cannot be used as a reference. Moreover,
the opponents they face are also far below PSG. The pre-season tour is only a warm-up match and also to practice teamwork to be more solid.
The actual match will be when PSG face Clermont, unfortunately Clermont had a bad performance the previous season and almost got relegated.
Even the previous meeting Clermont was defeated by PSG with a score of 4-0, so it is likely that PSG will beat Clermont easily. But in football
there are often surprises, therefore I hope PSG play carefully and don't underestimate Clermont even though his opponent is weaker.

I'm sure Messi will stay at PSG until his contract expires. and most likely he will return to barcelona after his contract expires with psg. Even then, if Xavi wants Messi to return to Camp Nou and end his retirement as a Barcelona legend.
As far as I know Messi's contract with PSG was for two years. And the contract with PSG expires in the summer of next year. Now we have not seen any news regarding whether Messi will extend his contract with PSG. No wonder Messi extends their contract with PSG. The PSG club is paying Messi high wages, as well as a lot of perks.Even if Messi wants to move to Barcelona, Barcelona is not in a position to afford Messi's high wages at the moment. He spends a lot of money buying players with loans and reducing player wages
I doubt whether Barcelona will be financially stable in the next 10 years. Because Barcelona's expenses are still higher than their income. Lyon vs Ajaccio will be the opening game for this season. It is obvious that the odds are in favour of Lyon @1.36 vs @8.8 for Ajaccio since they just got promoted from Ligue 2.

Who wouldn't be satisfied if that happens, football is all about competition and i will like to see some of it in the French league, we all do, though i don't feel it will happen this season, psg are very strong and from my prediction they will be champions again, their strength surpasses that of all other clubs in France. I don't expect much surprise for Lyon and PSG although the first rounds are always tricky. For Monaco and Strasbourg it is quite hard to predict the winner.

If Messi had moved to England he might not have had so much trophies as compared to his chances of winning it back to back to back in the french league. but he wouldn't have ended a three years deal in England without lifting the trophy once i am too confident of he would have recreated Barcelona in England that is like a sure deal.
I think Messi priority Ligue 1 than Primer League because competitive and difficult from primer league than Ligue 1, he not chance can play consistent if move to Primer League. Have drastically different quality team and atmosphere between Primer League and Ligue 1, there are only PSG always dominance every season on Ligue 1, but if try move to Primer League Lionel Messi will find difficult team and competitive atmosphere on every weeks. I think PSG become last career team for Lionel Messi except he will return to first club in his country and moving to Primer League with his age right now can't give top performance again.PSG had not a marvelous season last year, but that's understandable because it was the first season with that team. No one knows if Paris Saint-German is going to win the French league 1 back to back again or if we are going to witness change just like what happened last season in the Seria A where AC Milan did the unthinkable after many years of league trophy drought. I would rather take a big risk maybe with a small amount to bet on Olympique Marseille to win at 13.30 than betting on PSG to win with a big amount and less earnings that will be so painful if PSG didn't win the league so It is not a good bet.
Yes, I am of the same opinion - it is much more profitable to make a small bet on Olympic and at the same time keep your remaining money free for other bets. A small PSG bet is completely meaningless as the profit will be small (even if you win) and a large bet will completely freeze your money for almost 10 months. However, I will not make either one or the other. It is easier to guess the outcome of individual games.

I'm not very excited about PSG's performance in the Ligue 1 this season because they are obviously the biggest contender of the championship again. The thing that I wonder the most is if another team will be able to keep up with them till the end of the season this time. Monaco and Marseille tried this but couldn't get too close to PSG at the end. I know that this isn't easy. For example, Lille became the champions and surprised everyone. But this kind of incidents don't happen often in a league that is dominated by a single team.

There is only one day left for the league to start again finally. We are starting the season with the Lyon - Ajaccio game. Ajaccio are one of the new teams in the league this season. They have promoted to the Ligue 1 by finishing the Ligue 2 at the second position in the standings. This kind of teams tend to make some surprises in their first seasons actually. Therefore Lyon had better be careful against them and not underestimate them. Lacazette is back at Lyon as well by the way and I'm curious how he will perform. I think Lyon would start with a victory.

Messi and Neymar started with goals. There is a feeling inside me like they both will show much better performances in this season. It is crucial for the success of the team also of course. Mbappe can't carry the team always. They need to be complete as a team to achieve the titles they aim. I don't wait for any surprise in the Ligue 1 this season. The Champions League part is the one I'm curious about the most. Galtier's choices will be followed closely and we will see if this move for PSG is good or not.
Just winning on first match after PSG defeating Nantes last few days ago I don't think have good beginning for PSG on domestic league or Champion League, I know with goals contributing from Neymar and Lionel Messi after PSG winning 4-0 from Nantes, but couldn't compare when PSG playing on Champion League. Still need to show more than what did by Lionel Messi and Neymar when success scoring goals against with Nantes, on Champion League all team have great mentality exactly what happened with PSG after defeating by Real Madrid on second leg, there talk about how Madrid mentality on Champion League than PSG.Of course you are definitely right that winning a match in a domestic cup doesn't prove anything for their bigger goals yet. Instead I see there are challenges in the Premier League. I don't think that he would be afraid of his performances going downhill if he joined a Premier League team. It depends on which club Messi will move to, if he chooses Tottenham or Newcastle he will get nothing. But if Messi moves to Manchester City for a reunion with Guardiola, he can win the title even if he is only on the bench.
