We didn't watch Messi playing in the Brest match also. But PSG still won 4-2 of course. Messi is expected to play in PSG's next match against Reims. As he is lacking match fitness, it is still unknown whether he will be able to play. If this goes on like this, we may even see Messi starting to play as of the Champions League group matches.

When will Messi join the squad? Donnarumma and Navas, one is going to be a big loser this season or they share the games like one plays in the Champions league and the other guy the Ligue 1. Both will be unsatisfied with such a solution though.

Could also be that it will still take some time before Messi joins as he got some extra time off I believe. It's time to see him join, not so much fun to watch without him playing.
I am not aware of any specific information regarding when Messi will join the squad in the field but I suppose he might play a part of the next game vs Reims then I am pretty sure he will play vs Clermont and Lyon! He has to get used a bit with the squad and the gameplay of PSG. They have just to announce that Messi is playing and electricity will shut during that game in France Tongue

The amazing part is that they are still lacking so many players that they got, I think Wijnaldum is the only player they got that they are playing right now? I mean I do not think that we will really see anything that would be interesting right away from the first games that other players play too, so it is going to be a few months for us to see the big change with all those awesome players but they haven't even started.

There is a month for them all to get in and get in shape, which will be awesome. The fact that they are still dominating even before they started playing shows you how awesome they are. The only bad outcome right now would be if the team doesn't end up jelling well together, if they lose a lot of chemistry and they start playing bad then they will have to handle that very carefully because it will make or break this team.

For the second game in a row, Psg conceded two goals from not very strong teams.
Am not a PSG fan but am worried for them because if a team that is considered strong is failing to keep clean sheets against weaker teams, then what will happen will the face tougher opponents?? PSG needs to fix their defense asap!

Offensively, everything is in order, even in the absence of Messi and Neymar. .

I think we won't even notice the absence or presence of Messi because PSG is an attack minded team. I don't expect anything extraordinary from him Tongue
Indeed there was defensive mistakes so we shouldn't blame all on Navas but that's mean that Donnarumma will take his chance probably soon.
Messi will be crucial whenever PSG attack fails to score. There is many combination which will confuse opponents plan.
For the goals, I liked Gueye's one in particular although Di Maria which is good too is way popular in social media!
St-Etienne 1 - 1 Lille, what a failure..

Monaco got another loss this time against Lens 0-2. And they lost in their home stadium also. There have been three matches and Monaco still haven't got their first win of the season. This is really alarming for Monaco. They are playing way different comparing to the last season. They should immediately find the main problem and solve it as quick as possible. Otherwise, they are going to have a terrible season seemingly.

Take a look at my merits, It's lucky number
Monaco are going to be after their first win of the season in the league. They couldn't start with decent results. And they got another hit against Shakhtar in the Champions League. It is time for them to gather themselves up I believe. Otherwise, the rest of the season wouldn't be so good for them.

Today, they're going to host Lens and they will want to get a clear victory. And I believe that they will manage to do it.

They were like trash, controlled more than 70% of the game against Lens but they lost by a pretty score 0 - 2 , especially the match was held in Monaco (Stade Louis II).

Maybe they want to prepare their greatest players for the match against Shakhtar Donetsk, given that they are still losing on aggregate 1 - 0, it makes sense for that reason. Huh

Monaco is currently playing really bad and i think if they continue losing like this they will probobly sack their manager. Also they had most of the game a player advantage and couldnt do anything with that and ended up losing 2-0

Did you pay attention to the last message on my post? They Most Likely Lose To Lens Because They Retained And Tried To Prepare Their Best Players To Play Against Shakhtar Donetsk, As You Know That They (Monaco) Lost to Shakhtar Donetsk at Stade Louis II, Their Next Match Will Be Held in Donetsk, Ukraine (National Sports Complex "Olympiyskiy")

Most likely too, it looks like Monaco can turn things around as they have already prepared their greatest players Grin

I was expecting them to win against Lens, but unfortunately, they got beaten in their home. The match was a tough one, but Lens manage to win. However, the both teams got a red card. Lens got a one man down 61 minutes in the second half, and Monaco couldn't take advantage of the situation. While Monaco also got theirs 86 minutes. Monaco's performance was great last season, they ended in 3rd position on the table. And needs to work on their squad this season, they have played 3 matches so far this season, but couldn't win any.

Until now there is no single official source indicating that Messi or Neymar will play that game against Brest. Pochettino already indicated that he is studying whether to include Messi or not in that game. Comparing to the previous match and for the moment, only Di Maria, Verratti, Donnarumma, Marquinhos will be additionall ypresent with the team in Brest.
Brest is not a big club in Lique I so PSG can beat them without those stars. Messi just came back after a long vacation and he needs one month of training to play in real matches. PSG are powerful and they don't need Messi only for Lique I. They need a healthy Messi for Champions League.
You're right with what you said but Brest did play well in today's game and looking at the game stats they conceived just 8 fouls while PSG conceived 7 despite their leading which means we should expect a lot of good playing from Brest this season.
Having said that, I don't know if it is me alone, why do you guys only believe the Champion league is the only reason PSG signed Messi?
This is a good question for those thinking that Messi is the only Key to Champion league or that Paris SG is weak without the last contract signed contract with Messi.
And from what i can see, even Pochettino follow the mess by keep talking about Messi and the Champions League. I find it useless to keep talking about Messi even when we discuss games he wasn't present !
I think this not a good sign for other PSG players in terms of enthousiasm and psychology when they feel that their strong team as always used to be, becomes in potential fearness without Messi .
I'm unaware that Pochettino also speaks about Messi being their key to win the Champion league but I understand their position about winning the Champion league and why Pochettino also wants it so bad.
The club hasn't won a single Champion since 1982 and their hope to won it was lost when they lost to Bayern Munich in the last Champion league.

Firstly, PSG's defense is not in a good position now. Secondly, I am not happy with the performance of their goalkeeper Navas. I saw two goals from Brest in yesterday’s match. If the goalkeeper had been a little more aware, opponent would not have scored from these shots. Hopefully Ramos and Donnarumma will improve their overall situation.
PSG defenders are never at top level. They can play well in Ligue I but in Champions League, they bring uncertainty when opponents are top clubs. It is abnormal to see PSG conceded many goals from French clubs. You are right that Donnarumma and Ramos will help them when they are in the squad.

We know their defense is weak. Coach Pochettino himself knows better that their defense is weak so they have taken Ramos to the team to strengthen the defense. On the other hand, Donnarumma has been included in the team to protect the goal post. Moreover, we all know, attacking is the best defense. If PSG's forward lineup can play well, then the opposing players will not get much chance to counter-attack.

With Donnarumma, Ramos, Messi and Neymar in the future matches, they will be unbeatable in both defense and attacking systems.

It is not easy to beat Donnarumma and with support from Ramos, Marquinhos will improve his defensive leadership. Messi will bring more key passes and goals for PSG.

Come on guys, PSG won vs Brest... not Man Utd. Come on.
However, the third day of Ligue 1 offers plenty of rich games. I personally picked five interesting Games, for Sunday afternoon. For example, Angers will try to surprise once again and to get another useful result.
Here my picks:
Bordeaux - Angers
Metz-Reims Under 3,5 goals
Rennes or draw for Rennes-Nantes
Montpellier - Lorient Over 2,5 goals
Racing Strasbourg - Troyes Over 2,5 goals

PSG still demolished their opponent, Brest 4-2 in the absence of Messi and Neymar. Even without them, we know that they are way more powerful than all of the clubs in this league. But everyone is waiting for Messi to start also. I know that he lacks match fitness. But it's been 3 games and we still haven't seen him playing even for one minute. I hope that we can start watching him play as of the next game which is against Reims.

They were dominating the first half. But not that much in second half. In the end of the match it was 2-3 for PSG and Brest had so many chances to draw the game but was unlucky and in the end was 2-4 . I think PSG need to get more serious
