Not the expected result, but at least they are still 6 points ahead of Nice, and they didn't lose three points in the match but two because PSG still got one point after Brest managed to equalize at 2-2, their defense looked quite weak in the final minutes of the match and it was Luiz Enrique's homework to improve this because when they play in the Champions League their team's weaknesses will be exploited well by their opponents.
For the next week, my prediction is that PSG's point difference will increase because PSG will face Strasbourg while Nice will face a more difficult match against Brest, in fact next week Brest has the opportunity to be in second place in the standings if they can beat Nice because Brest will have the same points as Nice but better in terms of goal difference, so a match result that favors Brest will also benefit PSG who have a big chance of winning because their opponents always face difficulties in beating them.
However, Brest will face Nice's best defense which rarely concedes goals in match and if Brest can break through then they will probably win although a draw seems more likely.

for me, this draw is unsatisfactory because as the leader of League 1 you should continue to try to get 3 points while the team you are playing against is Brest, which in the past was not a strong opponent for PSG, but that was only in the past, to be precise, when PSG coach was not Enrique.
a coach is very direct here because Enrique has full responsibility for PSG future but for now I still doubt Enrique because he is not very quick in understanding what strategy is right for his team and it can be seen from the results that PSG is currently getting that it doesn't look right consistent even though he is at the top of the standings.

and on the one hand, the match in the UCL is a competitive competition and against Real Sociedad it is not an easy situation for PSG because even though it looks ordinary, Real Sociedad is famous for its strong defense and is able to make it difficult for PSG to score.
If Enrique really wants to bring PSG to a high level, he should immediately show his contribution to providing good results in League 1, such as a 5 winning streak is a good achievement to give PSG players confidence and great enthusiasm to compete in the UCL.

PSG is always good at choosing coaches who have good potential, but not all coaches can give their best with club that are difficult to handle. Enrique is just doing easy task caused by he has been recruited to the richest team in the league one. The performance from the defensive lines shall become his main concern.

The defenders are performing so poorly and they were deserved to be blamed. PSG is missing two points against brest and there will always be another chance for PSG to show better performance.

Luis Enrique was not given the job as PSG manager without his elite level of experience. In his three years of overseeing Barcelona, he won La Liga two times and the most renowned Champions League. He has a rough start in the Champions League group stage, which is understandable given that he just started with PSG at that time. Perhaps fans can begin criticising him assuming PSG loses to Real Sociedad in their first match at Parc des Princes.

The draw with Brest is a minor setback however losing to the same club in the French Cup a week from now is unacceptable. The club needs Enrique to instill discipline and patience. Working on their defense is additionally significant as the approaching matches become harder.

Enrique knows that he must manage the team well, get good results to save his job but between knowing the task and making the task done well is very big difference.

He is an experienced coach by managing Barcelona, Spain and achieving success with them so they are experienced enough to deal with pressure and big expectation on his management. Even in PSG, he got very big problems and criticism in early weeks of season when PSG got some bad results. With time, he managed to improve the team performance and help PSG to show their domination in Ligue 1 again. This draw against Brest is bad but won't be an ending for his job in PSG.

I agree with you that PSG must improve many more things if they want to go far in Champions League.

Before the commencement of the French Ligue 1 game between Paris Saint Germaine and Brest tonight at the Parc des Princes, I was of the opinion that it was gonna be a simple game for the home side to win but surprisingly to me and to majority of the people that just have predicted on the game, Paris Saint Germaine threw out two goals lead to finish the game in stalemate.

Luis Enrique needs to understand that he must improve the performance of his team of he really want to see them go far in the current campaign especially in the UEFA Champions League competition because if they should go to the European elites football competition with their current performance, they're definitely gone thrashed

IMO, I think Enrique is well aware that his current squad is not ready to compete fiercely in the Champions League competition. Based on my point of view, PSG is quite consistent in Ligue 1 but this team is not yet strong enough for the Champions League, especially in terms of solid, mature play, established players, and a proven mentality. we can refer to the depth of the current PSG team, almost mostly dominated by young players. however, because their opponent in the 16th round is Real Sociedad, Luis Enrique will try to win the match and qualify for the next round. perhaps, Enrique's stint in the Champions League takes him as far as he can without targeting the championship trophy.

And in the next season, PSG will get rid of incompetent players and fill them with players who can be relied on in all areas. thus, perhaps PSG will be better prepared to compete in the Champions League next summer. For now, Enrique's task is to build the PSG squad into a solid team. plus, still retaining the Ligue 1 trophy. For me, if PSG is able to enter the last eight it will be more than enough with the current Paris Saint-Germain squad. the problem is, they can't always rely on Mbappe. while other players are still trying to reach their playing level while adapting to the system that Enrique implements. Next season, it looks like PSG will prepare its team better and bring in several competent and reliable newcomers. Unfortunately, it is very likely that Mbappe will remain with his stance on terminating his contract this season. That's also why, in the scenario, Enrique's task is to rebuild PSG's strength with new players without their star Mbappe.

PSG entered the dressing room by scoring two goals before the end of the first half, they almost won the match, they had this thought while going to the dressing room, this thought made them lose in the second half. Prior to today and throughout today, I have been very skeptical of  the PSG vs Brest game. Even when I had the opportunity to take another bet with PSG to win, I still didn't take it. Because I knew brest won't be a walk in the park for PSG. I have watched brest on more than 1 occasion this season thar they took come through even in situations you'd write them off.

It's fascinating when you think about the fact that PSG won the first half with 2 goals and Brest won the Second half with 2 goals as well.

Not that it means too much that PSG messed up this game after having that 2-0 lead, but it does show how carelessly PSG can play and give up a comfortable lead in a game in their own stadium because they don't care. If this was a game that would have decided about who becomes the Ligue 1 title winner, would they have played the same way?

This is what I am criticizing about that league, PSG knows that no matter how this game ends against Stade Brest, they will win the trophy anyway. But in the Champions League they want to be different and then they realize that if they don't have to care at all for 38 games in Ligue 1, out of a sudden they have problems to do it better in the Champions League. It will forever be one of their deficits to be playing in a weak league.

The game ended in a draw as brest was able to get an equalizer at the end of the game, the equalizer came in few minutes to the end of the game and so PSG got a man down by the 90th minute of the game and that was really late to affect their performance in the game and they ended up sharing the points with brest.

I never expected PSG to draw the game because PSG was way much better in performance, form and team depth, brest appears like one of the average team with an average performance to avoid relegation in the league,  and so it was expected that such average performance wouldn't get them even a draw with PSG buy then they have got a point after the end of the match, to think that PSG was leading before they equalized git me feeling PSG had a poor defense today although their performance was okay.

Today's matches in the French Ligue 1 were quite interesting, with only Lens managing to secure a victory against Toulouse. Surprisingly, the other five matches ended in draws. As for becoming champions they are still too far away and I quite agree in this regard because after all we must be aware of the situation that is happening now for PSG because they are good in terms of players but in terms of experience and coaches it is quite minimal.
Even if it is Enrique but when talking about experience in the Champions League it is clear that he is inferior to some other big coaches so this could also be the reason when PSG's luxury squad is unable to penetrate the Champions League in terms of trophy competition.

In the Ligue 1, there are teams that are putting up great competitions for PSG even though they're the upper handed side buh Monaco and Nice are also good sides that aim for the title too. PSG are a good side and they're opting for the trophy this season, they actually can earn it if there's not a reason for them to slack in their performance. Well I trust Luis Enrique to atleast try to achieve a trophy with them this season.

 When they faced Lille a couple of weeks back, the league game was fierce and they did their best to get a good performance in the game. Comparing both teams, PSG seems better and they had the higher chance of winning. For Lille, they fought to keep a draw knowing that they didn't not have all it takes to win the game. Whichever way, the points already earned had effects on their league standings and the performances after.
