Even though Monaco played well this season, the depth of PSG's squad ultimately succeeded in beating them. PSG completely dominated at home and they had a good spirit throughout the match. The performance of PSG in previous meetings with Newcastle ended up in humiliation for Paris Saint Germain. They have to become one of the interesting team that's keen on accumulating winning mostly against elite teams. My previous estimate was that Paris Saint Germain would only win the match by a narrow score. In the end, it was always known that PSG was much better team, some people doubted it but I knew from the start, and many millions of people knew that PSG would win this game and that is exactly what has happened as well.

I feel like this wasn't really that much of a shocking result. PSG has built an amazing team where even Mbappe is no longer needed, remove him from this game and PSG would still be able to beat Monaco easily, they were playing so good that they could have replaced him with whoever is his backup and they would still be the better team on paper without a doubt.

Good performance this season + home match makes Nice the bookies favorite to win, it can be seen that on the 1X2 betting type Nice only gets @1,5 odds. While Toulouse who are playing away have @6.5 on their side, it's quite lopsided IMO which indicates that Nice could win this match with a big score. Monaco is actually not a difficult opponent for PSG, but as we can see, in the first half the match was quite tough, Monaco played very well and was able to balance PSG's game, but in the second half Monaco had to admit PSG's greatness and Monaco looked helpless so they had to losing badly by conceding five goals, this is of course beneficial for PSG to be able to get the full three points and maintain their position at the top of the standings.

It looks like Enrique has succeeded in getting the right formula for PSG because yes, PSG's success in beating Monaco with a score of 5-2 is at least proof of that. So yes, with this victory, PSG has managed to get its current 6th consecutive win. Thus, I think I will no longer care whether Nice will win or not because after all, currently PSG clearly has the ability to create a wide points gap with the competing teams in positions 2 and 3. So yes, of course PSG will is back strong at the top of the Ligue 1 standings and it seems there are no longer any doubts for PSG in Ligue 1.

The question is for how long Nice could stay as competitive for PSG and another question about the fluctuations of PSG and whether they could keep winning or not.
For now, the 4 points difference between PSG and Nice are reassuring. Since Nice are expected to win then 1 point difference is nothing and the tension on PSG will remain high this season.
Marseille and Lens failure and previously Lille, made the table of Ligue 1 quite unstable with a huge change every year except for PSG until now of course.

Luis Enrique has once again proven his expertise as a coach by formulating the perfect strategy for PSG. For me, this shows that PSG has even squad equally. Dembele finally scored his first goal for PSG since moving from Barcelona last summer.

Nice is still in second place, 4 points behind PSG. They will try to reduce the difference in points by winning over Toulouse in the match which will take place tomorrow. However, I am personally quite confident that Nice will continue their winning streak while maintaining their 13-match unbeaten streak. I think Marquinhos' absence is more significant than folks realize. He is PSG's defensive pillar, and without him, a gap will exist. PSG isnt just about one player, and they've demonstrated they can still perform well, but a player of his caliber is hard to replace. Luis Enrique may not show it, but he's under pressure to change his strategy in the forthcoming games. PSG's strength is teamwork, but Marquinhos adds stability and technique thats hard to equal. What they'll do versus Newcastle and Monaco is intriguing. They have depth, but every team misses a major player, even PSG.

@Blitzboy PSG comfortably won this game and while I was hoping for a fight from Monaco they barely offered anything of much significance which clearly shows they need to work on their strategies. Further while there were glimpses of good football from Monaco but if they wish to secure a top 4 spot then they’ll have to do better because it’s clear that PSG will be winning the title once more.

The game was worth 6 points, even if paris only won 3. And another very important thing was that Kolo Muani scored a goal. He is not been a very good striker until now, in 8 games he has only scored 3 goals, i expect more from him because he cost so much money. You cant compare his stats with Mbappe, he has 14 goals in 12 games. As long as Paris are on first place in Ligue 1, it is not a problem now, Kolo Muani will have more time.
