I think that Luis Enrique is a very overrated coach. I used to be a PSG fan but after this team was tough on Mbappe and let go of the team performance dropping only thinking selfishly to punish Mbappe this season. let just try to imagine PSG without their top level players, will they appear strong or even have to be shifted by Lille or Marseille, who are currently in very good form.
I would not expect much this season but I doubt PSG can be like last season when there were top players there.

Al-Hilal have been in contact with Neymar recently. They are said to have offered a big deal for him.

PSG already want to part ways with him immediately and Neymar is also targeting the same thing. He is leaning towards going to Saudi Arabia as well and truthfully he doesn't have many options on the table either. I have no doubt Al-Hilal's contract offer to him would be enormous so Neymar's demands would be easily met. This is going to be a nice deal for PSG as they couldn't make use of Neymar's skills as much as they wanted so far. He just gets injured too often.

IMO for now with their squad undergoing a reshuffle of players and coaches I think the target of winning the Champions League is still too big and they realize it is a little impossible to do but of course this is still a good step because this is precisely what they can look at the long term and improve from scratch.
Their target I think is not that for now especially with the conditions of the Champions League which must be difficult to do if without the adaptation of the players and the history of PSG I think improving themselves to be better is very good because this can be their turning point and change the image of a club that does not just take old players at high prices to achieve something.

I don't think that this is the number 1 goal for this season to win the Champions League. I doubt that Enrique would himself use words that imply that their priority is to win the Champions League as they have to first wait and see how the radical change will impact the performance and the club as a whole. The Mbappe saga is still on the table, which complicates matters further. At first I believe they will focus on Ligue 1 and the Coup de France and then see how far they can get in the Champions League, but I think at this point calling out the trophy in the CL would be far too bold after the failures in the last seasons.

Luis Enrique should be able to start overhauling some of the existing players to carry out a good strategy for PSG, even though he has just coached PSG does not mean that this draw is bad especially without their 3 star players neymar, mbapper and verati, it does not mean PSG cannot get good results not good, PSG just needs time to adapt the players to the strategy implemented by Luis Enrique as well as other new players.

The absence of the player who has been a figure on the front lines is felt, and they do not have a player who can be a differentiator in this match. Out of 20 shots only 4 were on target, which is a problem that must be evaluated. PSG is not ready for UCL. PSG will be going out from UCL even when it was still in the group stage. Im fed up with PSG's performance. There are no improvements compared with the pre season match.

Life is not easy for the PSG after losing all their star players like Mbappé, Neymar and Messi in first game of this new season they were not able to score any goal even they have 20 shots on goal and 78% ball possession which mean still quality is missing which is important for the conversation if they keep things like these surely they will be ended without any trophy in this season and things will be gone from bad to worse for them and their fans as well.

There is no doubt about Luis Enrique ability and experience, but they need to fix things in quick way now they are going to face Toulouse in next game which is surely another challenge as this will be their first game on road, and they need to improve their quality with also learn from their mistakes which will helps them for having better result in future.

Kylian Mbappe remained the ultimate problem of PSG, they were very close to sell him but he turned down the bid and reluctant about his moves to exits Parc des Princes, he wants to leave as a free agent, exactly what PSG doesn't want. We all have different view from the crucial scenario concerning these footballers. However we should not jump into conclusions from mere assumptions, instead we do our research, it's not like we're sport journalists that knows these news, and most of the source that provide this news is mostly tagged as football rumours. Ousmane Dembele is a good signing for PSG, Luis Enrique will make good use of the Frenchman in his project this new season, they both blend together and have a long way to go.
