Dembele is going to fill Messi's void at PSG as it seems. This transfer is happening all of a sudden really. I didn't even know whether there was a release clause of Dembele worth 50 million euros until last Monday until PSG made an offer for him. I don't see any update so I hope PSG managed to benefit from that.

Dembele has a really great skillset. If he doesn't have problem any adaptation problem here which I don't expect at all he should be making a significant level of contribution. Mbappe is also likely to stay this season. But I don't know about Neymar's future. If he stays I won't be surprised in case he gets a lasting injury again.
That's a great striker yeah but Dembele is often injury at Barcelona, I hope at PSG he is always healthy to strengthen PSG attack line, because if he gets injured maybe his fate will be the same as Neymar. But as a player who is still relatively young, I personally quite sure he will have no difficulty for adapting quickly at PSG.

PSG closed their pre-season game with a convincing 3-0 win against Jeonbuk. Statistically PSG dominates with 8 shots on target and 57% ball possession. In this match, Neymar scored a brace and Asensio was always amazing with his hard drive from outside the penalty area to cover the winning goal. This is a very important victory after they have struggled in the last few matches and Luis Enrique certainly evaluates the performance of his players a lot before the game starts. The opening match of Ligue 1 will take place in 10 days and this is the PSG vs Lorient match, I'm still quite curious whether PSG can win the opening game later or will find it difficult to do so with the inconsistency they get.
PSG has through 5 matches during pre season and they got 2 wins from Le Havre and the latest is from Joenbuk and this is not impressive records if we see from their status as defending champion of France league but indeed this cannot be used as the reference to their performance next season because i am sure Luis Enrique will immediately evaluate these results however today against Joenbuk there are interesting things about the starting lineup of PSG that Enrique was played Neymar since the beginning of match and this make PSG was playing more effective and more better compared to their performance on the previous matches and Neymar as man of the match because scores 2 goals
The biggest happy news is that Neymar Jr. was able to score two goals in the first match after returning from a long injury. Hopefully this achievement will give him great confidence in himself. And I personally want this player to complete the season with a great performance.

Regarding Dembele and PSG there going to be interesting moments soon when he gets his shirt number there, because after they paid the 50m to release this player he is going to play for PSG in the next season but on the other hand they are going to put more pressure to Mbappe and the PSG owner said they will not let him play in the next season in he doesn't extend his contract that's why there is the chance for PSG to take the Mbappe shirt and number then give to Dembele. Which means Dembele can use this number in the next season.

It's not clear how much fee that must be paid by PSG. Some news said that if 50 m release clause was already deactivated and PSG must be paying more than it to get dembele from barcelona. Dembele has been pushing barcelona to sell him. Mbappe shall move to the another club but the worst thing if mbappe will be staying till next year without even playing a single match in PSG.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12932362/ousmane-dembele-why-barcelonas-second-most-expensive-signings-wants-to-leave-nou-camp-for-paris-saint-germain

I hope that PSG gonna complete dembele's transfer as soon as possible caued by the player already made personal agreement with PSG. The club just need to pay his fees and dembele can start its medical test in paris.
Everything gonna be completed as soon as possible.
From the reports I've seen in the sports tabloids in main land Europe, Ousmane Dembele's transfer to Paris Saint Germaine would definitely happen before the next 10 days.
The Frenchman has reportedly had personal agreement with PSG pending the final agreement between Barcelona and PSG. Dembele would definitely be a great addition to the Paris Saint Germaine squad

I was also surprised when I found out that the compensation for him is so small - on the other hand, if PSG had not managed to do everything quickly, then the compensation would have grown to 100 million, which is already a serious amount. What really struck me was that Barcelona would only get 50% of that amount - the rest would go to Dembele and his agent. Probably when Barcelona signed a contract with Dembele, they did not think that such a scenario would actually come true.

The rumors have run wild, I don't think it's going to happen that Dembele takes Mbappe's number and that means Mbappe won't play at PSG at all until his contract expires, even though that was what happened in PSG's pre-season games but in a while, things could very well change.
Both players are in the squad for the French national team, and both of them can certainly behave professionally when they have to play for France if what you say is true, but it is not impossible for Dembele to refuse this jersey number as long as Mbappe is still at PSG to respect Mbappe as captain of the national team and also to avoid the conflict getting deeper in PSG.
And Dembele's presence at PSG is to replace or to strengthen their squad because PSG always wants better results next season if not next season but certainly in another season.

PSG made many mistakes in the past, especially with the players they bought and that's why they are losing games when they don't have players like Messi and Mbappe in their teams. In fact, PSG without Mbappe is not a strong team anymore and they proved it in their recent friendly games. That's why the PSG owner is trying hard to somehow keep Mbappe for the next season and even extend his contract. I think the first thing Enrique should do is to make his team doesn't need these players in the next season anymore.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is concerned about the club's current situation, and it still perplexes me that it's one man who is making things difficult for the Parisians this summer, they did everything in their control to refrain him from joining Real Madrid, which most supporters tend to label him as betrayal, but it appears everything will be corrected sooner. PSG's board of directors has transformed the club over the years; the club is now reliant on big names other than their normal lists; when these players go, the club is left with nothing but disappointing outcomes.

Just checked the stats for this game and really unbelievable to see PSG had 68 percent possession in this game which is much more than Inter Milan but in the end they could win the game and they had more passes in this game but it seems PSG had huge problems with their forwards and they need to hire better strikers for the next season or they are going to have problems.

Possession of the ball is useless when players cannot enter the opponent's defense area to try to shoot at goal and is even more useless when the striker that the team belongs to is not playing well or cannot take advantage of opportunities properly to convert them into goals.
Of the 4 pre-season matches PSG have had so far, they haven't shown anything impressive, I think Luis Enrique needs to work very hard to make his squad perform well during league matches later, the only victory PSG got was only when they beat promoted team from Ligue 2 Le Havre
The new striker they brought in from Real Madrid Marco Asensio has not shown that he can help PSG later.
There are many things that the new PSG coach still has to do but maybe they can still defend the Ligue 1 title only for European competition it will be difficult to compete if their performances do not improve.

Possession is something that can show the team got more control over the game. However some teams like Real Madrid got different playing styles and they score goals even without having more possession than other teams but generally, it depends on their playing styles. I think what PSG need is some players to fill the empty spots of Mbappe and Messi which really hard to find these players.

Some players are irreplaceable. Messi is such a player. I understand that PSG is trying to fill his place, but you can't get a performance like Messi from anyone. he is one of the best in this universe. If they had convinced me to stay at PSG instead of going to MLS, maybe we would be talking about different topics now.

Interestingly, after such dismal results, PSG management will abandon the idea of marinating Mbappe outside the squad/on the bench (if he is not sold and does not renew the contract). I heard that they are very angry with him and want to leave him without playing practice for a whole year. This will be a circus - the most expensive football player in the world is sitting on a bench, lol! Will PSG dare to make such image losses?
Watching the Paris SG match with Inter milan actually in terms of ball possession Paris SG was better and consistent but still lost control when an Inter player scored the second goal and I agree that actually Paris SG really needs a player like Kylian Mbappe but it's very disappointing when this club is like punish this star player for personal problems or problems with this club.
Can't imagine that in a year's time Mbappe will just sit on the bench and look like an ordinary player and also I'm a little disappointed even though I'm not a Paris SG fan but the management's treatment is very unpleasant and it could be if Kylian really feels unappreciated he will leave club without considering anything

I support Real Madrid and I want Mbappe to move to Real Madrid now. But on the other hand, I really want to look at the development of this conflict - I believe that the stupid owners of PSG will try to "punish" Mbappe by depriving him of playing practice, but it is obvious that this will be a hyper big scandal, since formally the club has the right to do this, but in reality it is will be judged by all as a dirty mean game. The French footballers' union has already condemned PSG for pressuring Mbappe. Imagine what will happen next if they continue like this. I definitely want to watch it  Grin
A player can change clubs at will but the problem is that it is unfair for a player to negotiate his contract with a new club when he has a contract with another club which is what Mbappe did. In the case of Mbappe's change of team, the other team that expressed interest in taking Mbappe will directly talk to the current club, but Real Madrid directly discussed with Mbappe instead of discussing Mbappe with PSG. The matter of joining Real Madrid as a free agent member. If Mbappe joins Real Madrid as a free agent, PSG will not receive any transfer fee from Mbappe. It is a financial loss for any club but as such inhumane treatment of players is never acceptable. Mbappe still has a contract with PSG so Mbappe definitely has the right to attend the training camp.

Don't get me wrong but Lionel Messi is not easily replaced, you don't have to use Dembele to replace Messi he is irreplaceable in that side. Messi's football game reading and creativity cannot be that of Dembele. Dembele has come to play his own role and not to replace someone. But great he should give all his best for the club and be around when it comes to the Champions League to show his talent.
Since PSG dropped Mbappe, they have made advancement to get Benfica Gonzalos Ramos who did well during the world cup. They are getting to agreeing with Benfica for the player to move quickly.

It is not even worth judging the game of Paris Saint-Germain this season by the past friendly matches. Moreover, there are several key transfers on the way that can radically change the key performers of the club. As for Mbappe, I think that the owners have already realized that the Rubicon has been passed and therefore they will not even try to extend the contract, especially since all the deadlines have already come out and Mbappe has already made everything clear with his actions regarding the extension of the contract with the club.

I agree that it's quite unusual for PSG to finish second. Since few other clubs in the league can match their resources and talent, they are guaranteed to win. But remember that PSG's new manager, Luis Enrique, appears to be shifting the team's emphasis. Acquiring famous athletes is no longer the only goal. Recruiting players who are a good match for the system is becoming more important, as this could affect how they play. But if you change your tactics or bring in new team members, you can run into trouble.

Lens has been performing well as of late, but the number of available players will likely be more important to their long-term success than any other factor. Without greater support, their endeavor may fall short of its goal. The overall direction that Enrique takes PSG in, and whether or not any other team can match Lille's success, will be fascinating to observe
It has already happened, Messi wasn't there yet but Neymar and Mbappe was there and they lost to Lille, they didn't win the league that season, and didn't win the UCL title neither that season, so that season they basically just lost. Not that it will happen again this season, but it is not impossible neither and there is always a potential. Look at last year and how close it was, there was a possibility of it happening again, just one game and things suddenly change.

All in all I am expecting them to win it again anyway, not really seeing them lose it, but at the very least I can say that it will not be guaranteed for them to win, it will be likely for them to win and unlikely for anyone else to win, but not impossible.

Yes, the biggest problem for Paris Saint-Germain will be to fill the empty offensive line with the right players. If these gaps are not filled, they will not be able to find enough positions in the offensive zone and even the league title may be at risk. We know that Paris Saint-Germain's goal is to win the UCL championship.
