PSG has appointed new coach Luis Enrique. Perhaps Luis Enrique is trying to understand where his squad's weaknesses lie. And accordingly he will make his match strategy and add new players to the team.
I believe Enrique did make his research, watch many match videos to find strength and weaknesses of PSG players before he accepts to sign a contract with them and work with them as their coach. After that, he certainly made more investigation on his players and filter his list with players he plans to use and not use in a new season as well as players he is considering to buy from the market.

Luis Enrique will certainly want to build the squad to his liking. However, PSG management is yet to take any decision regarding the sale of Mbappe and Neymar. Neymar will probably stay at PSG. However, it is not certain whether PSG will sell Mbappe this season or let him go as a free agent next season. If Mbappe could be sold, PSG management would probably pay Luis Enrique big funds to add a new striker to the squad.

I doubt if PSG will be able to dominate Ligue 1 as they are now. Their overall gameplay is very weak. And the important thing is that PSG's attacking performance is not good. PSG need experienced players in attack very quickly. Neymar's fitness is not good. So Luis Enrique must add two experienced strikers to his squad next season.
I don't see the possibility of a PSG team doing well in the Champions League next season with this team. I wouldn't be surprised if PSG get knocked out of the Champions League group stage next season.
They are a richest club in France and if they continue to get big money from their owners, they will not lose their domination in Ligue 1. With rich budget, they will be able to buy many new players to maintain or improve their strength at least in Ligue 1, they will not face with much challenge from French domestic clubs.

PSG are unlikely to lose their Ligue 1 dominance. Because they have a lot of money. And Ligue 1 clubs are not very strong. However, last season we saw PSG not playing well despite having a strong squad. At the end of the season, the PSG team was only 1 point ahead of Lens. And this season PSG team will be weaker if they can't buy an experienced striker. But Luis Enrique is an experienced coach. Looking forward to seeing what match tactics he applies.

It was quite an enjoyable match. PSG has a lot of weaknesses inside it's pretty clear. However, PSG's gameplay is stabilizing somewhat due to Luis Enrique's match strategy.

PSG needs experienced players in attack. This is PSG's main weakness at the moment. We still don't know which players Enrique is considering as replacements for Messi and Mbappe. On the other hand, even though PSG's defense has experienced players, their performance is not good. Luis Enrique needs to work more on PSG's defense. I think Luis Enrique will add new players to PSG's attack and midfield soon.
Despite PSG's defeat, Tader's gameplay has seen some improvement. In the previous match, they lost 3-2 against Japanese team Cerezo Osaka.

Interestingly, after such dismal results, PSG management will abandon the idea of marinating Mbappe outside the squad/on the bench (if he is not sold and does not renew the contract). I heard that they are very angry with him and want to leave him without playing practice for a whole year. This will be a circus - the most expensive football player in the world is sitting on a bench, lol! Will PSG dare to make such image losses?

There was some decline in Marseille's performance last season. Technically they collected two more points than the 2021/22 season of course. However this wasn't enough for them to finish the league in 2nd place. They were beaten up by Lens in both matches if I'm not mistaken. Lens were like 11 points ahead of them at the end of the season.

Some people can say that it isn't a big deal for them to finish the league in second or third place. But actually it is important in my opinion. There is a difference between finishing second and third in this league. Finishing 2nd secures you a spot in the Champions League group stage while 3rd place sends you to qualifiers. They have replaced Tudor with Marcelino now so I wonder what will happen.

By the way the Ligue 1 has gained one more spot for the group stage. Now they send 3 teams to the group stage and 1 to qualifiers.

So, they get a new coach, and make a huge recruitment, and this team hasn't progressed, but rather regressed. The only cohesion the team has from this game is fetching the ball from their net and making excuses. Unbelievable. The results of this tour already say a lot; the season hasn't even started, and it seems like PSG fans are in for a long run. We don't need to be a psychic to know that this year, the Ligue 1 will be a real pain to follow, and the team will be eliminated very early in the Champions League and the Coupe de France. Nothing matters if they don't win; it's the result that matters.

It's just friendly matches, they got a new coach, it doesn't always work like that the team starts to win all at once, and you just look at the starting lineups of the team in these matches, Enrique clearly wants to see all the players who are capable of what, and in official games will be completely different, and the result will be different. Despite the changes, PSG still has a lot of good players.

Enrique is testing the team, and these tests can sometimes have unintended consequences. Still, I think Enrique makes a sensible decision. In these matches, all players in the team should see their potential so that they can form a better squad in official matches. I think Enrique's biggest chance is the large roster situation.

Even though PSG did not get good results in friendly matches, at least PSG results and performance might be very different in the real match later in Ligue 1. So yes, I think we also don't need to be quick to be pessimistic because after all, we also have to put our trust on Enrique to be able to make PSG teamwork even better for next season. Because at least, as professional players, of course they will also try to get good results next season. Because after all, Mbappe still hasn't signed a new contract and that means, most likely this season will be the last season for Mbappe at PSG. Thus, it is possible that PSG performance and dominance will be even better in the new season with their new coach.

Despite the tough competition that occurred in Ligue 1, PSG was always able to secure the league title. Last season, Lens became PSG's strongest challenger and was only one point away until the league ended. PSG lost a lot of points in the last few matches after the second half of the season and were lucky that one point difference could lead them to finish in first place in the standings. It is hoped that the arrival of Luis Enrique will improve the conditions that were previously weak in the PSG squad and can provide competition in the Champions League in particular.

Luis Enrique is a typical coach who has the quality and strategy that can also be relied on for crucial matches. But if his arrival was unable to make a difference for PSG, especially when they played in the Champions League and were unable to bring PSG to reach the semifinals at least then it was the same with the previous coach.
Luis Enrique has a tough task at PSG and that is clear because the fans want PSG to be able to provide great competition in all the competitions he participates in. PSG in the Enrique era seems to be expected to get stronger because he is a coach with a good style of play through short ball strategies, but he needs several players to support this strategy, especially midfielders.

Word has it that Dembele will soon be moving to Paris after a verbal agreement between the two parties, that will obviously add to their strength in attack especially after Messi is no longer extending his contract. Enrique clearly needs a creative midfielder next season to make his plans for PSG work, but he may have another approach while evaluating his team in the first half of next season.

Despite the changes, PSG still has a lot of good players.

So, let's discuss. statistically, PSG controls ball possession with 67%. in the first half, PSG was statistically much better than Inter Milan. in fact, they have a lot of opportunities. in the second half, PSG still controlled 70% ball possession. unfortunately, technically Inter is much better.
well, the decline in PSG's game performance decreased after Lues Enrique replaced his players. vice versa, Inter also made many substitutions. technically, PSG is much better than Inter Milan. the difference is, in this fight Enrique again tried to rotate his players. even though I didn't watch this match, I can see it from the data and statistics of this match. as I said, again Enrique rotated his players and tried Assensio to be a center forward. statistically speaking, Asensio didn't play so badly. it's just that, he was unable to score goals for his team. With this data, I have an assumption that the coach is still experimenting with his players. that's why, this result doesn't mean anything.

For Enrique, he has an assessment that his team cannot be said to be optimal. maybe because of that, had circulated in the past few days, Enrique needs at least 4 newcomers. one midfielder, two wings and last but not least a pure striker. thus, he can be more flexible to build his squad. after all, the transfer window still has enough time. now, it looks like Dembele will join PSG. Enrique only needs a few new arrivals to strengthen his team's squad. I'm pretty sure the club will fulfill the coach's wishes. so, let's just wait.

Luis Enrique has already made it clear that Champions League is their goal. He has prepared already to take this challenge, and their past performances in the CL may not have been promising, but it doesn't mean they won't overcome their past limitations. With a new season, a new coach, and a fresh set of challenges ahead, anything is possible.
Yes, it's not surprising that he's aiming for that, because that's their main goal almost every season, but unfortunately every season they fail to do it. It seems that he already understands very well what Paris Siant Germain needs so he dares to say like that, indeed the previous coach also said almost the same thing, but the fact is they failed too. I hope he can show his best, actually it doesn't have to be a champion right away, because I really understand what kind of situation they are in, but stepping into the semifinals alone I think that's enough for them next season.

I think it's quite natural that PSG are not optimal in this pre-season match and they have lost more. Maybe the reason for having a new coach is very understandable and we can find out later whether PSG can start the competition well or not. Because of course there are many who expect PSG to continue to dominate Ligue 1 next season, but if later there are many who bet on PSG's victory but it doesn't come true, maybe we can know that PSG has started to lose its power. Apart from that I still quite believe that Luis Enrique's progress to bring this squad into a more organized state will be achieved and he is also an experienced coach in European clubs, so I have no doubts about it.

Agreed, PSG has been showing horrible performance. It has so many shoots but only a few were on targets. PSG was always dominating the ball possessions, but it could not maximize the chance. That makes the club was missing a lot of opportunities.
PSG really needs good attacking lines. The current players were so bad in having proper finishing. Asensio and soler were playing so badly during the match. I don't even think PSG will able to compete in UCL with the this quality.
PSG's level is far lower compared with the last season. No doubt if so many people were predicting PSG to leave from the UCL after it was playing in the group stage.
Intermilan is still adapting with the new striker. Marcus thuram was not able performing as good as lukeku when he becomes a partner for lautaro martinez. There must be so many evaluations for PSG in attacking lines.
Buying a new striker is a must for PSG. I saw that how enrique was rotating the players in attacking lines.

The performance of the Inter Milan team is improving. They have made several changes in the squad. And if the players can adapt to the team, the performance of the team will be more stable. Martinez is an excellent striker. Hopefully we will see more goals from Martinez next season.

It is just too difficult for PSG to lose the title to another team in the league. They need to make an extra effort to cause that to happen. The season in which Lille became the champions was exactly like that. I'm not underestimating the effort Lille made throughout the season of course. But PSG's losing more points than usual was a big help.

The previous season was also a candidate for that but Lens wasted some serious opportunities while we were getting close to the end of the season. PSG are going to have a fresh start with Luis Enrique with a different system maybe. But I still don't think they would lose the league title anyway.

I agree that it's quite unusual for PSG to finish second. Since few other clubs in the league can match their resources and talent, they are guaranteed to win. But remember that PSG's new manager, Luis Enrique, appears to be shifting the team's emphasis. Acquiring famous athletes is no longer the only goal. Recruiting players who are a good match for the system is becoming more important, as this could affect how they play. But if you change your tactics or bring in new team members, you can run into trouble.

Lens has been performing well as of late, but the number of available players will likely be more important to their long-term success than any other factor. Without greater support, their endeavor may fall short of its goal. The overall direction that Enrique takes PSG in, and whether or not any other team can match Lille's success, will be fascinating to observe

Just checked the stats for this game and really unbelievable to see PSG had 68 percent possession in this game which is much more than Inter Milan but in the end they could win the game and they had more passes in this game but it seems PSG had huge problems with their forwards and they need to hire better strikers for the next season or they are going to have problems.

Possession of the ball is useless when players cannot enter the opponent's defense area to try to shoot at goal and is even more useless when the striker that the team belongs to is not playing well or cannot take advantage of opportunities properly to convert them into goals.
Of the 4 pre-season matches PSG have had so far, they haven't shown anything impressive, I think Luis Enrique needs to work very hard to make his squad perform well during league matches later, the only victory PSG got was only when they beat promoted team from Ligue 2 Le Havre
The new striker they brought in from Real Madrid Marco Asensio has not shown that he can help PSG later.
There are many things that the new PSG coach still has to do but maybe they can still defend the Ligue 1 title only for European competition it will be difficult to compete if their performances do not improve.

The problem with these rumors, which have been appearing in various variations lately, is not that their information is not true, but that they are fundamentally wrong. PSG cannot sell Mbappe anywhere without his will. PSG can't sell Mbappe at all - they can only agree to a forfeit if Mbappe moves to another club before the end of the contract. But in the rumors, Mbappe is described as a slave who can be sold anywhere.
exactly, and I have also said several times here and in the transfer thread that all of this is something wrong because only PSG and Mbappe know the origin of this problem. and also I think PSG actually still need a player like Mbappe but because of some problem PSG has to be quiet without any confirmation in the media and also Mbappe who do not confirm anything about this problem because if one of the two confirms something wrong it will make bad things in the future or breaking the rules.
if we look at it realistically, actually this problem is very easy to understand, but sometimes the media spreads false rumors just to make the global situation worse, even though it is clear that Mbappe will continue to be at PSG until the end of his contract, even though in this pre-season match Mbappe do not seem to be absent, but Im sure he will Mbappe will be absent there later in the competition.

Watching the friendly, it was a tough game and I think Inter Milan is ready for the new season, I'm afraid I can't say the same for the Parisians. Losing in pre-season friendlies did not leave a favorable impression on Luis Enrique as the new manager, and he needs to examine out a positive atmosphere to know exactly what he needs to do to revitalize the club and bring right back the winning glory. PSG has shortcomings and Inter Milan put their attention on the defensive lines, committing mistakes throughout the game. PSG possessed the necessary dominance to defeat Inter Milan, but due to their reluctance, everything dropped short.
Current PSG line up on pre season match against Inter Milan looks Luis Henrique still adopted formation with false nine and Marco Asensio
filled as number 9, its not effective although as pre season match result is not important but PSG have find new striker before first Ligue 1 match begin on Augustus 13 against Lorient. Little disappointed with PSG achievement in pre season match, last three games Luis Henrique not winning yet after losing against Cerezo Osaka and Inter Milan then one draw against Al Nassr.

Its homework for Luis Henrique for preparing teams facing Ligue 1 and UEFA Champion League, its difficult find with new striker not have choose for using false nine, this favorite scheme for Luis Henrique actually with false nine use before when becoming Spain national head coach.
