PSG had many departures in fact. Let's start with the whole attack line, starting with Messi place, going to Mbappe which seems to quit the team so they don't lose him for free, Neymar which is absent and might go as well. Sergio Ramos also.
In the other hand, PSG have a lot of players and some positions have like 5 or more options. The problem isn't the quality of these players but how they could play together and win together as a team.

The other problem for PSG is to reduce the number of players by letting them go whether by selling them or by loaning them back.

I wonder how PSG are going to fill Messi's place. Or have they done it already? I don't know if they are seeing the Asensio transfer as a replacement for Messi. But on the other hand there are striker transfer rumours circulating. Maybe they will have Mbappe on Messi's wing and a new striker at the centre.

But haven't made a single offer to any striker yet. While Bayern Munich are increasing their offer and getting close to Kane signing PSG don't seem interested at all. Then maybe they can go for a much younger and skilled scorer instead. Vlahovic could be a decent option for example if they don't want to pay a much higher amount.

If Enrique really wants to keep Mbappe in his team I'm sure they have good enough financial power to keep him with the money they can pay and this happened in the last season.
Mbappe wanted to leave but the money they offered him was a huge amount of money to make him stay there. That's why I think there is a chance for us to the same story again in this season.

I agree if you are referring to the potential defensive work a midfielder is also supposed to do. But considering the quality of Messi's passes, I can't think of a player even in the midfield who is better at it than Messi. He has this outlandish feeling of how to give the ball the right touch to exactly land where a striker would love the ball to bounce first or even not bounce at all. The sharpness and precision in his passing is one of a kind in my opinion. This is all about taste and someone may say that there is a better player with higher accuracy, but when it comes to giving assists to his team mates, it is unbelievable.

It is true that money doesn't matter as much for the sheikhs clubs and this becomes even more evident due to all the transfers they are making now with those absurd salaries. But I think in terms of Mbabbe it still hurts them if he can leave the club without a transfer fee to be paid for him. I think they wouldn't care about 100 million, but 250 million or whatever they want for him is quite a bit of money. Or maybe they just push for his decision now because they silently hope that he does stay because he wants to receive the loyalty bonus as well. So either a club is willing to pay that much or they keep him, let him go for nothing and even pay him the loyalty bonus. Everything is still possible.

Now the conflict between Mbappe and PSG is heating up especially with Mbappe's last statement saying that PSG is only a split team and only as a participation team making the drama from PSG and Mbappe even more intense for now.
With the current conditions it seems that there is no more reason for Mbappe to stay especially with a criticism like this to his own team that has provided enormous resources so that one way for him now is to leave PSG.
But as you said, PSG also does not want to lose this player cheaply even though there are so many antics made by Mbappe to make him leave quickly but PSG still hasn't budged on their 200 million price.

In as much as we know that Paris Saint Germaine is club that's financially buoyant, they wouldn't want to let a quality player like Kylian Mbappe leave the club without finding a earning over a 100 million pounds in his transfer and that's why the club immediately informed the player of  their plans to sell him off immediately thought knew that he's had a secret agreement to join join Real Madrid in 2024 summer after his contract with PSG has expired.
If no club meets PSG's terms and Mbappe remains at the club beyond this summer transfer window, the club will lose because he'll leave for free at the end of next season

In fact PSG have no problem with money. If I was in their place I wouldn't just make any effort to sell Mbappe. It seems like they are going to do the same also. I mean that they just said that they were open for offers to sign him from any team as long as he doesn't intend to extend his contract. This is enough action to take for PSG.

If no team make an offer like 200 million euros for his transfer fee then PSG would just continue with Mbappe for one last season. I think that most probably he would sign a contract with a team in January and that team would be Real Madrid. But still PSG can go for one last try for the Champions League title while they have Mbappe in the squad.

Luis Enrique is here also in the end so who knows what is waiting for us next season. 

In recent weeks, our attention has been more and more on Mbappe. if I'm being honest, actually I don't really like to discuss Mbappe, PSG and Madrid rumours. In fact, I prefer to avoid discussing the PSG striker's rumours. however, in the end there was no other choice but to participate in discussing it. and yep, this little boss of PSG is now making noise again.

IMO, ideally, PSG let go of a player like this. privileges that the club gave him, made him feel very special. if Madrid want him in the transfer market this summer, PSG better let him go, because that would be better for the PSG team itself. supposing that if Mbappe leaves, PSG can look for a replacement. in fact, they could have offered Osimhen a hefty salary. bottom line, PSG would be better off without Mbappe IMO. thus, Luis Enrique can build his new team according to his wishes. I'm sure, even without Mbappe, PSG can still bring in the players they want.
